About: I have owned pure-bred, rescues, fosters, disabled, and re-homed pets throughout my life (mostly large 40+lbs., but small as well.) I've provided training from puppy age into late-life comfort care. I also have a masters degree in behavior analysis and reinforcement training. I work from home as an artist, so I'm around most the day as well as my dad. There is a doggy door from outside into the garage (but not into the house). I trained Kizzy to push a button that says "outside" so I let her out as needed throughout the day and when one goes out, the rest tend to follow so plenty of potty breaks! Kizzy has a very flexible eating schedule and I am happy to accommodate feeding as needed for your pup. (Let me know about food aggression!) I tend to walk pups late in the evening when there's less distraction, less noise, and cooler, but we DO stop and smell the roses... and grass... and benches...and fire hydrants....etc. no rush here! Also, everyone gets a LED glow collar (if tolerated) because safety first! Safety is a priority! Behavior Analysis is my field of expertise, which is primarily the use of reinforcement procedures to change behavior (mostly for individuals with autism!) This means I do NOT implement punishment procedures (other than perhaps a firm "no") but rather "ignore" the undesired behavior. LED glow collars for nighttime walking. Can feed separately or together depending on your pup's needs! Will supervise feeding, especially initially! Also happy to accommodate medication administration if needed. I have a very social 6 year old boxer mix named Kizzy who is much less active than she used to be, but is tolerant, great with sharing and is great about correcting other dogs when they are being too "in her space". I have a 4ft fenced in yard, which backs up to a walking path with other dogs, bycliclists, runners, golf carts, etc. (so let me know about reactivity issues!) I prefer to have your babies here in my home as it allows me to work from home. I have multiple dog beds, a basket of toys, an extra large crate if needed, I keep water filled, yummy organic treats. I have lots of walking paths in my neighborhood, a nearby dog park, and Kizzy loves swimming in the river so water-loving dogs are welcome! I have cared for higher-needs pets including geriatric, blind, deaf, and even one which was paralyzed and used a wheelchair! I am very comfortable with administering meds, the "cone of shame", assisting with mobility up/down stairs, etc. However, I am also available to stop by your home for potty breaks/medications/water refill/etc. and am available to pick the pups up myself depending on time of day! I am very flexible, just let me know what ya need!

About: I’m SUCH an Auntie with all the pets I watch! I've regularly cared for all my siblings' dogs for decades -my sister's two medium dogs have even recently been for a stay of over a week, right here in my apartment! So a multi-day routine is pretty easy for me. I've been told more than once that a pet who "doesn't usually warm up to people" ends up seeking me out! Since it seems to be a strength of mine, your shy pet may end up a good friend! I live in a studio (no private yard), but I have a fenced back porch for outdoor time and the complex is very secure so walking around here is no problem! My schedule as a certified night-owl runs roughly noon to 5am, so I'm a great fit for lunchtime visits and evening/night walks -and bonus (!) you don't have to rush back from a late-night out, since I've got your doggos covered well past when most sitters would need you home. For overnight boarding, I'm a light sleeper and stay responsive to your dog's needs through the night and early morning. I won't cancel for snow -I grew up driving in snow and ice even from before 16 on a South Dakota farm and spent over a decade in Wyoming winters, so Colorado weather doesn't scare me off (maybe a blizzard sure, but otherwise!) My own 8-year-old cat is fully comfortable around dogs and cats. She's been present through all of my sister's dogs' stays (check out the photos!) and has her own secure, independent access to our enclosed back porch as well as a catio enclosure for daytime chillin'. Currently my job is DoorDashing, so I could whittle out any time for all pets! I am a big night person, so as said noon to 5am is typical. That would mean I would be awake with your doggos for more time than typical sitters at night. I am willing to do several days in a row if needed since I can move my dashing schedule around quite easily. When I am at your place not only will your pets be taken care of with whatever schedule you need, but your house will be looked after as well. If there are any accidents that need to be taken care of, I will make sure it's set! My home is very small -just a studio (a good-sized studio apartment), but I have had my sister’s two medium-large dogs stay there with me for over a week and they did a great job! It’s not much area to wander around in, but I have pet beds and spaces to feed them! I also live on the first floor with a walkout small back porch that leads to the well-maintained outdoors of the apartment complex where I can easily take your dogs for any outside time they would need. The soundproofing in my place is also immaculate, so even if they bark everything will be okay! I do have one cat. So if your dogs or other cats are not okay with that, I am more than willing to come to your place if need be. She is great with others as long as they’re not too into her business and she has places that she can hide when she needs so she is great! I also have a “catio” on my back deck that is attached to my window with a pet flap where my cat goes out and chills. It is a very large enclosure.
