“Amber was great! She went above and beyond coming over to help me trim the nails of my two dogs. She is a prompt communicator and arrived on time. She provided her own clippers which unfortunately broke. Amber was able to come back the same day with a new pair of clippers to finish the job without an additional charge. Thank you, Amber!”

“Shayna watched my cat while I was away in Europe for a wedding. Leaving your pet is always hard, especially when going abroad. But Shayna gave me so much peace of mind. Great communication, responsive, and super caring. She even checked in on me during my journey back to make sure I made it safely. I highly recommend her, I know I will use her for my next trip :)”

“Emma was amazing! She helped us out for a week and went above and beyond taking care of the pets and cleaning up any messes they made. Would highly recommend!”

You can rest easy while away from home knowing I am CPR, first aid and vaccine certified for canines and felines! I am big on sticking with home routine, so your pet can feel just as relaxed as you! Pets in my care can be provided with whatever they need. I have other pets in the home including a dog and cat who can be kept separate from yours if needed. I can also assist with your training plan to be sure your pet stays sharp! I love coming up with at home enrichment for my pets and will be sure to provide your pet with mental stimulation as well. About: Hello! My name is Kate, and I am a senior at the University of Northern Colorado! I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, and more. I currently own four dogs and a disabled cat, giving me firsthand experience with pets of all sizes and special needs. I've cared for dogs ranging from a three-legged Chihuahua to an Irish Wolfhound and am comfortable administering medications, following special feeding instructions, and managing prescription diets. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the importance of providing safe, reliable, and loving care for every pet. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I am already responsible for caring for my own pets. I have a flexible schedule and am available most days and times, with the exception of Tuesdays from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM and Thursdays from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM when I am at work. Outside of those hours, I have full availability and can provide reliable care, walks, drop-in visits, feeding, medication administration, and plenty of attention for your pets. I care for every pet according to their individual needs and routine. In a client's home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and attention, and receive any medications or special care they require. I also help maintain their normal routine to keep them comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is always to treat every pet as if they were my own and ensure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for.

“Apple is awesome. Our little fur baby got out and she was able to get there right away to help us get him back in. Highly recommend her to take care of anyone’s fur babies.”

About: My wife and have had dogs most of our life and multiple dogs at the same time throughout our 15 years of marriage. She previously worked with HABIC (human animal bond in colorado) to train her dog as a therapy dog to work in hospitals. We currently have 2 dogs, Bear a 13 y/o pyrinesse and Sasha a 8 month old rez dog rescue. Dogs are always welcome here. Dog ages dont matter, Bear has a gentle spirit to him and he loves puppies. Our only requirement is the dogs do a meet and greet and as long as they are good with each other so are we. We can help with minor training i.e. potty training, crate training, sit, shake etc. if you request it. Currently there is someone home 24 hours a day to play with and care for your puppies. I work a flex schedule and my wife is home during the days. We have 6 foot fenced yard for room to run outside, but prefer for their comfort to keep the pups indoors in the ac. We do have a smaller dog run if you prefer your pup to hang out outside. Fresh water is always out. We have several dog beds so they have comfy places to lay and we will work with your feeding schedule. We are familiar with giving oral medications if needed. Treats are handed out on the regular because the puppies deserve them.
“Blake did a great job taking care of my cats while I traveled. My cat Rocky especially liked spending time with her! She went above and beyond by also filling the bird feeder and watering flowers! It's so nice not having to worry while I'm gone!”

My experience with caring for young pups and old is thorough, including handling medications and special routines. I love to be active! I enjoy walking my energetic dog frequently. I understand pets' needs to sniff and explore, so I am very patient. It is my goal to create a calming environment to bring your pets home relaxed and happy. I am an arts administrator, so punctuality and attention are two of my greatest strengths. I look forward to meeting your pets! I have a full-time work schedule and volunteer with several organizations, so early morning and mid-afternoon are the most open times for me, including weekends. I have experience with leash training- I have two dogs that I have trained. I am comfortable crating dogs as needed. I have experience with small dogs to very large.
“Raquel was fantastic with my two cats! She came to the house twice a day as we agreed, and she sent at least one photo from each visit. When I came home, the house was maybe a little neater than I left it, and my cats were happy. I will definitely use Raquel again when I go out of town.”

Pet care can be molded into the ideal schedule and I am flexible with coming up with set schedules and routines to properly care for animals before, between, and after classes! “We appreciated Savannah taking care of the girls. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that the girls were in great hands. Will definitely book again with Savannah.”

“Christy is amazing. She arrived on time, shared pictures at every visit. She was compassionate with our senior dog, feeding her by hand to ensure she ate. Christy played with our more active dog, making sure he spent some energy. For the first time using Rover we could not have had a better experience. Christy, thank you so very much for tending our babies as we would.”

Jillian did a wonderful job caring for our cat while we were away. She checked in as scheduled, made sure our kitty was fed, spent time playing, and was very attentive to our cat’s needs. It gave us peace of mind knowing our pet was in such caring hands. We truly appreciated her reliability and communication, and we would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Salamae is the best! My cat is very reticent, but at their first meeting, my cat came right up to Salamae to be petted. Salamae proved herself to be reliable, followed all of my instructions, and showed sensitivity and care for my cat. Booking with Salamae gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were out of state dealing with a stressful family emergency.

I’ve honestly never left a review anywhere before, but Raquel deserves one—without question. The fact that I’m taking the time to write this should say a lot about how incredible she is at what she does. Raquel went above and beyond in caring for my dogs, Juno and Charlie. From the very beginning, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals and treats them like her own. She was attentive, responsible, and incredibly thoughtful, making sure they were not only safe and well cared for, but also comfortable and happy. She kept me at ease the entire time, and I never once had to worry about my dogs while they were with her. If I could give her 10 stars out of 5, I would—but since it only allows 5, just know that’s not an exaggeration. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable, compassionate, and truly exceptional as a dog sitter, Raquel is it. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to have her watch my dogs again, and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants the absolute best care for their pets.
Amber did amazing with my four cats. She was able to administer an inhaler to one of them and did great with communicating during the visits. I have a cat that eats different from the others and she did amazing following the directions for his care. Would recommend her and can’t wait to have her help with my boys again!

Micayla was awesome! Loved getting all the photos of our kitty while we were away. Micayla documented all of her check-ins which helped us to feel totally comfortable knowing our pet was safe and being well cared for during our travels. We will definitely utilize Micayla again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
