About: I’m SUCH an Auntie with all the pets I watch! I've regularly cared for all my siblings' dogs for decades -my sister's two medium dogs have even recently been for a stay of over a week, right here in my apartment! So a multi-day routine is pretty easy for me. I've been told more than once that a pet who "doesn't usually warm up to people" ends up seeking me out! Since it seems to be a strength of mine, your shy pet may end up a good friend! I live in a studio (no private yard), but I have a fenced back porch for outdoor time and the complex is very secure so walking around here is no problem! My schedule as a certified night-owl runs roughly noon to 5am, so I'm a great fit for lunchtime visits and evening/night walks -and bonus (!) you don't have to rush back from a late-night out, since I've got your doggos covered well past when most sitters would need you home. For overnight boarding, I'm a light sleeper and stay responsive to your dog's needs through the night and early morning. I won't cancel for snow -I grew up driving in snow and ice even from before 16 on a South Dakota farm and spent over a decade in Wyoming winters, so Colorado weather doesn't scare me off (maybe a blizzard sure, but otherwise!) My own 8-year-old cat is fully comfortable around dogs and cats. She's been present through all of my sister's dogs' stays (check out the photos!) and has her own secure, independent access to our enclosed back porch as well as a catio enclosure for daytime chillin'. Currently my job is DoorDashing, so I could whittle out any time for all pets! I am a big night person, so as said noon to 5am is typical. That would mean I would be awake with your doggos for more time than typical sitters at night. I am willing to do several days in a row if needed since I can move my dashing schedule around quite easily. When I am at your place not only will your pets be taken care of with whatever schedule you need, but your house will be looked after as well. If there are any accidents that need to be taken care of, I will make sure it's set! My home is very small -just a studio (a good-sized studio apartment), but I have had my sister’s two medium-large dogs stay there with me for over a week and they did a great job! It’s not much area to wander around in, but I have pet beds and spaces to feed them! I also live on the first floor with a walkout small back porch that leads to the well-maintained outdoors of the apartment complex where I can easily take your dogs for any outside time they would need. The soundproofing in my place is also immaculate, so even if they bark everything will be okay! I do have one cat. So if your dogs or other cats are not okay with that, I am more than willing to come to your place if need be. She is great with others as long as they’re not too into her business and she has places that she can hide when she needs so she is great! I also have a “catio” on my back deck that is attached to my window with a pet flap where my cat goes out and chills. It is a very large enclosure.

About: I have always loved taking care of animals since I was young- from dogs, cats, chickens, and fish I have always been surrounded by animals. I have a particular interest in animal behavior and training- I always want to ensure animals feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed when they are in my care. Before moving to Boston, I attended Colorado State University seeking my degree in veterinary medicine- the classes I attended focused on animal behavior, animal environment, and specifically handling large animals such as cattle. During my time there, I acquired my IACUC training for animal handling (can provide if needed, however it technically expired last year) and successfully performed medication administration, vaccine/medication injections, bovine castration, proper animal handling, and more. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I could not finish my degree, however I am looking to complete my animal training certification, as I still love working with animals! While I, myself, do not currently have any pets, my roommate has a cat that I help care for- his name is Boog and he's incredibly cute! I currently work part time Saturday-Monday mornings- after 3pm I am completely free! If your pets can be left alone for about 8-9 hours (travel time depending), I can house sit on these days while working. The rest of the week, I spend time on my hobbies and doing research on animal behavior, meaning I will have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else your pet may desire. I like to set up a trial run before any official appointment just to make sure your animal is comfortable with me and vice versa! This gives a great time where your animal has a familiar person (you!) to reassure them that I (a stranger) am no threat, as well as going over care instructions, any medical concerns, and your typical routine for your pet(s).
