“Jessica is awesome. Just when we started wondering how things are going with our 3mo old puppy, she sent us photos of him playing and having a great time. By the end of the stay, he was curled up in her arms on the couch - having made a new best friend. Outstanding service and a wonderful person!”

“Dana took excellent care of my girl. She communicated well throughout. It was clear Ellie was loved and well cared for in my absence. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“his was our first time working with Daiana, and we truly have nothing but wonderful things to say! From the initial meet-and-greet, both of our dogs were immediately comfortable, excited, and happy to spend time with her. Throughout our weekend away, Daiana kept us updated consistently and made sure the dogs got plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. The moment we got home, it was obvious our pups had been incredibly well cared for. We would highly recommend Daiana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, whether for big dogs, small dogs, or anything in between.”

“Haley was amazing with our two babies! She kept us up to date with everything that she was doing with them and sent us pictures as well! My beagle is very anxious and gets nervous and scared easily, Haley did an awesome job making sure she was comfortable! Thank you again!”

“Brooklyn did an amazing job with my animals and they were so comfortable with her! She was excellent at checking in and updating me about them and making sure everyone is happy. Will definitely book again!”

“Amelia did an absolutely amazing job! This was my first time leaving my puppy and I was very nervous but she did great! She constantly sent pictures and updates and assured me everything was fine! She did a great job at following everything I asked of her as well! I would definitely recommend using her and you can trust that your pup is in the best of hands! I will absolutely use her in the future!!”
About: I provide attentive, Active & Reliable pet care. have owned dogs for the last 15 years, and have two active dogs of my own. I have cared for colleagues and friends' dogs, with experience caring for senior dogs and training puppies. I have flexible hours in my full time job and work from home 2-3 days per week. I love to be active so any excuse for an extra walk is welcome ;) Drop in visits and dog walking are preferred but I can provide house sitting or boarding with advanced notice. I am attentive and active, and love a detailed care list to follow!
“We were SO lucky to have found Madalyn! She did an incredible job taking care of our mini zoo ( 4 dogs and 2 cats ) while we were out of the country this summer. She went above and beyond by coming right after we left for the airport and staying late the evening we came back to accommodate our flight times. She even went out of her way to take care of our home while we were away, collecting packages and bringing in the trash cans. She communicated with us a ton, sending daily updates and pictures. She was comfortable with all our pets and their high activity levels & vastly different personalities. I truly feel so fortunate to have found her and hope she’s available any time we’re away.”

“Such a great sitter! Was very flexible with the start time and communicated throughout. Made sure our girl was taken care of, and she even got to play with Lucy. Will definitely be a repeat client! :)”

“Emily was the best sitter we could have asked for! We have several animals; both dogs and cats, some with medication needs. She didn’t hesitate when we explained everything, and was more than up to the task! Our 20 year old cat, Goober, had especially specific instructions (including IV fluids), and Emily did every step we asked for, and went above and beyond. She understood how difficult it was to leave Goober at this point in his life (end stage renal disease) and made making him as comfortable as possible at all points in time a huge priority. She communicated frequently, sent tons of pictures, and made our wedding time completely peaceful knowing everyone was taken care of. Our home was completely perfect getting back to and she left a very sweet “just married” card for us. She will be our go-to for all of our future house-sits.”

“Autumn was great with our 3 (somewhat sensitive ;) pups). Great communication throughout her visit. Highly recommend if you are looking for someone trustworthy to look after your pets. Thanks Autumn!”

About: I grew up with big and small dogs, fish, and walking stick bugs. For the last few years I’ve owned cats and a gecko too! Needless to say, I have lots of diverse experience and am most comfortable around animals. I’m currently a Master’s student at CSU, so I have lots of time between classes to take care of pets! I can pet sit every evening if it’s alright that I head to campus for parts of the day. I can care for your pets however you see fit! I will do my best to make your pet as comfortable as possible by following their routine.
“Becca pets sat for me in my home while I was out of the state for a few days, and she was great! My dog has a few special accommodations which she totally handled in stride. My boy has separation anxiety, but he seemed calm around Becca, and by the time I got home he was amazingly relaxed. She regularly sent me photos, updates, and was very responsive to communication. I’ll definitely be rebooking. Thank you Becca!”

“Sarah is excellent! She took great care of my dog and cats while I was away, and I came home to a very happy crew of animals. Communication and photos were great. Will definitely hire her again and highly recommend!!!”

Lexie is amazing!! She was punctual and responsive with all communication, our meet & greet and for our booking. She stayed at our home with our 3 dogs and cat and treated them like they were her own. She had no issues giving meds and dealing with personality quirks. Our animals loved her. Our house was immaculate when we got home. We will definitely hire her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Severance walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Severance maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Severance choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
