“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! 🐾 She stayed at our house while we were away and took absolutely amazing care of our dogs. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were comfortable in their own home and getting so much attention. She sent tons of photos and updates, which we loved seeing while we were gone. Our dogs got plenty of playtime every day, especially their favorite game of chuckit multiple times a day! You could tell they were happy, exercised, and well cared for the whole time. Our house was also in great shape when we got back, which we really appreciated. We’re so grateful for the care and attention she gave our pups and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. We will definitely be booking with her again! 🐶”

“Emma was so great with our fur babes! Our entire family loved her, and it was clear that she made our pets really comfortable. We have two Great Danes, a corgi, a cat, and 10 chickens. Emma handled each of their needs with careful attention. We will definitely have her back!”

“McKinnley did a great job taking care of our pets! We have 3 spoiled dogs, one who needs daily medication, and McKinnley handled them all with ease. I'm so glad we were able to travel without worry! On our return home our flight was delayed, but McKinnley went above and beyond to come back to our house and make sure our little dog family was taken care of. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐”

About: I have had experience with dogs my whole life. As I’ve grown up with them! Ive taught our family pets commands/tricks! I’d love to help you teach your pups! I also have had experience with senior pups! I currently work from home full time! My schedule is very flexible and I’m able to let the dogs out every 1-2 hours! When nice the door is left open for dogs to come in and out as the please! My two kiddos are also home from school and love to cuddle and play. We will love on your fur babies as if he is part of our family! We also love to spend time outside so if your pup likes walks, good news so do we! I do have a fenced yard and your fur babies are welcome to come play outside or come inside to play or relax. Being at home I’m able to keep a close eye and give your fur baby all the attention they want! I work from home. So I am able to watch and play with them. We can go on walks during my breaks and if they stay over night will get lots of cuddles and play time with the kiddos and I! I have a fenced yards so pups can go in and out as they please! I can crate dogs if needed and also keep them separated especially durning food time. I work from home all day! Just leave in AM to take kiddos to school and in the PM to pick them up! Then after school we sometimes have sports practices/games. But my schedule is super flexible I have a fenced yard. Pretty open floor plan. So can always separate if your baby is overwhelmed or just to separate when eating. If they are crate trained I can do that as well.

“Peyton was a WONDERFUL pet sitter/walker. She was professional and communicative, sending us picture updates of our fur babies. She was respectful to our home and we felt at ease knowing she was taking great care of our dogs and cat. Would recommend booking her for all of your pet care needs.”

About: What truly sets me apart as a Rover sitter is the heart and intention I bring to every pet I care for. My love for animals comes from deep personal experience, especially with my own dog, Candy, who meant the world to me. Losing her shaped the way I care for pets today—I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, because I’ve been that owner who wanted nothing but patience, gentleness, and genuine love for their dog. I don’t see pet sitting as just a service; I treat every pet as if they were my own, honoring the bond you share with them. Candy’s memory lives on through the care, attention, and compassion I give to every animal entrusted to me. 🐾💛 My full-time focus and a natural part of my daily routine. Being fully available allows me to structure my days around the pets I care for, not the other way around. I have the time and flexibility to give each pet consistent attention, timely walks, proper feeding, playtime, and companionship without feeling rushed or distracted. Because this is what I do full time, I’m able to be reliable, responsive, and truly present with every animal in my care, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for throughout the day. The hands-on experience I’ve gained has been caring for my own dog and the pets of family and close friends. I was deeply involved in every part of their care—from daily routines and exercise to comfort, patience, and emotional support—learning how important consistency and trust are for pets to feel safe and happy. Caring for animals I loved taught me to be attentive, responsible, and gentle, and I carry that same level of dedication into every pet I care for today.🐾
“We adore Quinlan! He handled our problem children so well: our Yorkie is super ornery and our Heeler is crazy stubborn. Everyone was happy and healthy and our house was spotless when we got back. He is very good at communicating and sending photo updates. 10/10 can’t wait to work with him again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
About: I have had animals of all types since I was a kid. And I have 5 years of professional pet care experience. I have worked with any and all animal types, including the largest of dogs to the smallest of insects. I have experience working with senior and infant pets. You can rest easy while away from home knowing I am CPR, first aid and vaccine certified for canines and felines! I am big on sticking with home routine, so your pet can feel just as relaxed as you! I am currently hoping to go back to full time into pet care. Currently I am looking into going back to college, but I would not start until the fall. Pets in my care can be provided with whatever they need. I have other pets in the home including a dog and cat who can be kept separate from yours if needed. I can also assist with your training plan to be sure your pet stays sharp! I love coming up with at home enrichment for my pets and will be sure to provide your pet with mental stimulation as well. My apartment has a fenced in private dog park that can be used as a yard for your pet to stretch their legs. I will be sure your dogs are always leashed when outside the house to prevents accidents or escapes. Overall my goal is to build a safe and nurturing environment for your animals to play and relax!
Garden City pet parents share their Rover experiences
Shanda was an absolutely amazing sitter. Our dog is very shy and timid and I explained to Shanda she would have to go slow and do relationship building. Shanda exceeded my expectations. She was so patient and understanding of my dog and followed my directions to a T. My dog quickly warmed up to her and we would definitely use Shanda’s services again.

Savannah has stayed overnight with our dog (Dally) multiple times while we’ve been traveling, and every time she does such an incredible job taking care of Dally and the house too!! We love having Savannah stay at the house while we are gone, it makes traveling easier knowing that Dally is in such good hands.

Raquel is wonderful and I am so pleased we found her as our sitter and will definitely be calling on her again. She is very caring, professional, positive, detail oriented. and the dogs really loved her. She provided daily updates and pictures. She cared for our pets as if they were her own making our trip worry free as we knew they were in great hands. A couple of the dogs are a bit timid, and yet they warmed up to her quickly and easily; we saw that first hand when she came for a meet and greet. Thank you, Raquel. We appreciate you and the care that you provided.
Lucas was a fantastic sitter for all of my animals. He ensured they were cared for, followed their feeding schedule and gave meds as needed. Im very pleased with his work. I was truly worried about my senior dog, as she has 3 different meds to take. But Lucas was able to assure me that my senior dog was in good hands. Thank you!
