Hello, Everyone! My name is Katherine, I’m 34 years old with over 20 years of personal and professional experience in animal care of all kinds. I’ve been living in Fort Collins for over 10 years now. Before then, I grew up on a 20 acre ranch in California raising, riding and showing horses and spent my younger years caring for dogs, goats, fish, birds and reptiles of my own. I was a member of our local FFA Chapter all through high school and showed/raised sheep, steer, dairy, goats and pigs eventually earning my American Degree in 2010 through community work and public education. Upon moving to Colorado in 2013 I found work at a Holistic Pet Food Supply + Dog Groomers, where I worked with dogs of all kinds daily for several years. Soon after I found a job at Front Range Veterinary clinic on E Mulberry St., and spent over two years there serving as a veterinary assistant, physical therapy assistant, kennel/boarding worker for cats and dogs, and administrative coordinator. Through them I’ve gained personal relationships with the veterinarians and staff whom I can call on in case of a medical emergency. Animal care isn’t my only line of care expertise as I have also served our Fort Collins community in funeral care as a Crematory Operator and Funeral Arranger earning my CANA and NFDA certifications. Afterwards I cared for the younger members of our community as a PDIS Coaching certified co-lead infant teacher caring for a class of 10 ages 6 weeks through 18 months. Both have done nothing but sharpen my first aid, emergency response, and eye for detail as I was blessed with the continued education opportunities. In 2017 I earned my AS from Front Range Community College and then in 2022 earned a BA in History & Anthropology from CSU becoming a first generation Alumna. At home I personally care for my own adopted rescues that include two cats and three dogs.
