About: I believe in the Golden Rule of Pet Care — I will treat your pets as I would treat my own. I’ve been around animals my entire life, growing up in a home with dogs and now caring for three cats of my own for over 12 years. That experience has given me a strong understanding of how different every pet can be, from energetic and social, to shy and anxious. I understand that “pets” are truly members of the family. What I offer is thoughtful, individualized care. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so they feel safe and at ease while you’re away. I have experience with high-anxiety dogs and approach each pet with patience, consistency, and a calm presence. I don’t rush “getting to know each other” if they aren’t ready, and always build trust at your pace and their pace. During visits, I’m fully attentive and engaged. Whether that means structured walks, playtime, or simply keeping a pet company so they don’t feel alone. My time with your dog or cat is special, and I won't be scrolling on my phone or texting during my time with your baby (except to send you photos and updates!). I’m also detail-oriented when it comes to feeding routines, home care, and maintaining a clean, stress-free environment. You can expect consistent communication and updates, so you always know how your dog or cat is doing. My goal is to provide reliable, high-quality care that gives both you and your pets complete peace of mind. Ideal for weekday walks and midday check-ins while you’re at work! Fits naturally into your routine. Monday through Friday for morning and midday visits (before 5 PM) Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. Since I provide care in your home, I want to make sure to follow your house rules and your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding times, walk routines, or favorite play activities. Let’s discuss specifics more during our “Meet and Great."
“This was our first time using Rover.com and Jennifer. It was an amazing experience. Jennifer and her daughter made us feel at ease and loved our dog beyond measure. I couldn’t recommend Jennifer and her daughter enough, they are wonderful, caring and treated her like their own.”

“Mya is a wonderful sitter! She is incredibly caring with our cat, and she always makes sure to give her plenty of love and attention. We will absolutely book with her again.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. I have had 4 King Charles Caveliers that have given me such joy and in walking a learning experience. I have been walking and dog sitting for 10 years. Dogs are a wonderful warm calming place for me they bring me such joy and to know I can ensure the owners a safe experience for their pet brings me joy. I’m currently a substitute teacher with Fairfax County part-time. I have plenty of time to play with your fur babies. I’m available in the summer seven days a week and boarding on the weekends. My favorite hobby is walking 25K is my goal every day better way to do it. I’m a grandmother of three they call me Granny stepper. I have a fenced in half acre yard for my two king Charles Cavaliers to play with your food. If my dogs need to be created to create a space I can do that as well.
“We love booking with Maria! I know my cat is well cared for and loved while I’m out of town, which is all thanks to Maria’s level of care and attention. She provides the best updates and I can tell my cat enjoys the visits with Maria. Absolutely suggest booking with Maria!”

“Lily was very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and took great care of our cat. I was especially appreciative since it was a somewhat last-minute request for a holiday weekend!”

“Spencer and Julia were so kind, responsive, and absolutely amazing with my dog! Loved loved loved the photos they sent - cannot recommend them enough!”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.

“Aislyn was wonderful with our puppy Scout. She was super responsive, on-time, and provided great pictures and write-ups of our visit. That was especially important to us as Scout is our first puppy and we were nervous about leaving her home alone for the first time. Scout always looked so happy in the pictures and when we came home from work!”

“Juno loved Larissa. Larissa is kind and caring. Juno can be stubborn and Larissa catered to her needs. Larissa communicated promptly. I look forward to our next booking with Larissa.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish. As an elementary school teacher, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing approach to every pet I care for. Having loved my own dog, Stella, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your furry family member while you’re away. I’ve cared for large dogs, bully breeds, senior dogs, and puppies, and I’ve volunteered and fostered for animal rescues. I’m happy to provide overnight care and can host small pets (caged or contained) in my home, while offering in-home visits for dogs and cats. My goal is to give more than just food and walks; I provide love, attention, and companionship so every pet feels happy and cared for. I currently work full-time as a teacher. Workdays are usually busy from 8:00-5:00. My weekends and holidays are flexible. During weekends and holiday breaks (FCPS schedule currently), I'm free to create my own schedule and would base it on the pet's needs first. I can't currently take dogs or cats into my own home, but I can care for them out of the comfort of their own home. That might mean petsitting/housesitting, or if your pet is comfortable sleeping alone overnight, I can accommodate their needs with visits instead of sleeping over. As for other pets, I can take those into my home for care, or out of your home.
“I have had Aimee watch my cat Harley multiple times. She goes above and beyond to take care of Harley and I appreciate all of the photos and updates she sends. Will continue to use her in the future!”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was young, and animals have always been a big part of my life. I’m currently a live-in nanny, and I also care for the family’s dogs. When their owners are away, the dogs stay with me and even sleep in my room so they feel safe and comfortable. I currently work part-time as a live-in nanny, which allows me some flexibility for pet care. However, I do have a busy schedule with regular dog-walking clients, so availability can vary. Please message me first to confirm scheduling before booking. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your needs if I have an open time slot. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, feeding instructions, and any special requirements provided by the owner.
“Michael was so patient with my shy and reactive kitty. He tried multiple methods to engage with her and knew when to give her space. He followed my instructions very closely and I was very comfortable trusting him with my pet.”

“Juan is AMAZING!! He went above and beyond with communication and over all care! My pup has special meds and Juan had no problem with it when feeding breakfast and dinner(: Juan went out of his way to go to a pet store to grab a sweater for my pup because it was cold out during their walks 🥹 It was so comforting to know Brody was with someone who goes the extra mile!! 10000% recommend!!!”

“Amber has been great each time she has cared for Nugget. She’s patient with Nugget’s mini attitude and has even been able to pet her which is rare for someone to do when I’m away. I appreciate the bond she’s established and how she keeps in contact with me. Amber will even do extra tasks like clean the litter area even though I forgot to ask that when we first established the details of care. Amber is and will continue to be my first call when I need someone to care for my fur baby.”

Stafford Albemarle Glebe pet parents share their Rover experiences
Our pug was VERY well taken care of. He’s older, and gets anxious when we leave and tends to leave little presents, but Taylor handled it no problem and gave him extra love and attention to ease his worries. We will definitely request her again our next time we leave town!

Evan is amazing. He’s very patient with my 13.5yr young golden who can be stubborn time to time. He’s been spoiling her with extra long petting time, and it’s been hard for me to keep up with her expectations of what a good petting session is. Very grateful to have such an amazing and reliable Rover taking care of my dog!

Morgan was extraordinary! Our little fella bonded with her immediately. She is very knowledgeable, and took care of our guy magnificently. It gave us great peace of mind. She was punctual each day, which was greatly appreciated. We look forward to having Morgan back.

Summar is one of the most conscientious, dedicated and pleasant people I know. Her enthusiasm for caring for the pets is heart felt, and she naturally exudes the confidence that she can take care of whatever needs attention while taking care of your furry family and your home. When I couldn’t walk my most energetic dog due to recent surgery - a last minute thing - Summar broke away from her other obligations as time permitted to assist. I can honestly say she’s the real deal (it was with some hesitation that I wanted to share how remarkable this young lady is insofar as it might invite competition for her schedule).

Lily is so professional and treats my cat, Tally, with such care and also looks out for me too by reading my handwritten instructions. She also gives me a super thoughtful report on how she is doing when I’m on work travel and I feel totally at ease with Lily taking tremendous care of my fur baby! I highly recommend Lily for your pet care needs!
