I’ve grown up an animal lover, and have 10 years professional pet care on Rover specifically, and over 15 years of pet care experience. I’ve provided care for pets of all ages, ranging from newborn kittens requiring daily weigh-ins, to 20 year old cats requiring IV fluid administration. In addition to cat and dog experience, I also have experience caring for bunnies through Rover, and am open to caring for other types of animals as well. While my schedule is best suited for cat care, I also have ample experience providing care for dogs and can provide walks or drop in care if it works with my schedule. I love meeting new cats, dogs and animals, and making new animal friends! What started as a “side hustle” during graduate school has become a true passion outside of my full time job. What to know about my services before booking: -I work full time so I am currently available in the mornings from 6:30-8 am, and/or in the evening anytime after 4:30 pm -I am happy to provide in person or virtual meet and greets at no charge. I am also happy to pick up and drop off keys at no additional charge. -I drive as I’m often coming before or after work, so parking access is required (this can be public access via street parking, garage parking etc within walking distance to your home). I don’t mind covering parking ranging from $1-$5 an hour for shorter booking stays, but if it is exceeding that cost or if I am providing care longer than a few days, I may need to factor in parking costs into my fees. -I will always ask for emergency care instructions (including vet info/emergency hospital preference, emergency contacts, and access to carriers for small animals and cats). 99.9% of the time this info is never needed, but rest assured I do have experience transporting cats and navigating emergency care when needed (so far it has only been one time!). -in cases of emergency, (with your permission and in communication with you) I will serve as your proxy/stand in to transport your pets, communicate with vets on your behalf, communicate info to you, and provide this support until you are able to come home. I will care for your pets as my own. If this means taking your animal to the vet and waiting with them over night while they recieve care, I will absolutely do it. My commitment to care extends beyond the scheduled time, and you can trust I will care for your pets in any emergency situation. -in case of other emergencies such as A/C breaking at your home, flooding, etc, I will always be able to transport your pet to another location such as a family member or friend’s home, boarding facility, or my home at no extra cost to you. While I don’t offer boarding services as I have a cat of my own, in case of emergency I will take all measures (such as separating my cat) and making my home safe for your animals in case of emergency. -I will never charge you for any extra time required for emergency care. In case of emergency vet visits, I would require you to contact the vet to provide payment over the phone, or coordinate with me to provide payment to the vet. -in the event that I am unable to reach you during any emergency, I will contact the Rover agent who is available for 24/7 support and follow their instructions for care, and provide any information about next steps via voicemail and text. -there is no such thing as too many instructions or details about your pet. I am always willing to do whatever your pet needs, as all animals are unique and have their unique needs. If for some reason I feel the care can not be provided in the selected booking time, I may suggest booking a longer booking time only if absolutely necessary. I always try to stay about 15 minutes longer than the suggested booking time if needed, and if care extends into those 15-30 minutes or so extra, that is not something that would require a longer booking time. However, this hasn’t been a problem before!
