About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish. As an elementary school teacher, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing approach to every pet I care for. Having loved my own dog, Stella, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your furry family member while you’re away. I’ve cared for large dogs, bully breeds, senior dogs, and puppies, and I’ve volunteered and fostered for animal rescues. I’m happy to provide overnight care and can host small pets (caged or contained) in my home, while offering in-home visits for dogs and cats. My goal is to give more than just food and walks; I provide love, attention, and companionship so every pet feels happy and cared for. I currently work full-time as a teacher. Workdays are usually busy from 8:00-5:00. My weekends and holidays are flexible. During weekends and holiday breaks (FCPS schedule currently), I'm free to create my own schedule and would base it on the pet's needs first. I can't currently take dogs or cats into my own home, but I can care for them out of the comfort of their own home. That might mean petsitting/housesitting, or if your pet is comfortable sleeping alone overnight, I can accommodate their needs with visits instead of sleeping over. As for other pets, I can take those into my home for care, or out of your home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 and have a Beagle who lives at my parents’ house. He’s 17 now so I have experience with older dogs. My boyfriend’s family has a small toy poodle who we have dog sat multiple times. Additionally, I have done dog walking for pets in the area. I usually take them out during my lunch break for a stroll around the block! I work from home everyday. My schedule on Monday’s and Fridays is typically pretty open. I am around most weekends so I have flexibility. My boyfriend, who also loves dogs works from home 2-3X per week so your pooch will get a lot of attention! Since I am currently in an apartment, smaller to medium sized dogs would be best. We also have a small balcony which dogs tend to love. Bonus: we have turf grass on there so they love it even more.

I have a flexible work-from-home schedule! I am a graphic designer, so I often work independently with a light meeting schedule. I can accommodate one walk during the work days, and any other walks needed in the evenings. While walking dogs, I make sure to walk them safely distanced from traffic and passing cars. I am always respectful of my client’s homes and neighborhoods, and make sure to clean up after their pups!

About: Hi, I'm Chloe! I am 25 and am located in Arlington. I love working with animals, and have quite a bit of experience myself. I have a sweet kitty named Pumpkin, who is my very best friend! I am from a small town, Berryville, where I grew up with many dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, you name it! I have years of experience of pet-sitting, volunteering at animal shelters, as well as assisting one of my childhood dogs in giving birth to 9 puppies. If your pet needs medicine or goes on walks, I try to fit it in at the same time of day, and it is the same with when and how they are fed. About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and grew up with everything from Yorkies to German Shepherds and Goldens. I’ve also cared for dogs on and off since I was 18, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and, unfortunately, this just isn’t the right time for our family to have a dog of our own. Rover gives me a chance to get some much-needed dog time while giving someone else’s pup a little extra love and attention—which, for me, is a pretty great trade! I really try to meet each dog where they are. If your pup wants a friend to play with, I’m happy to play. If they’re older, shy, or just happiest with some calm company and a good belly rub, I’m equally happy doing that. I pay close attention to behavior and will always communicate if I notice even a subtle change that I think you should know about. I also believe you know your dog better than anyone. I’ll respect your routines, rules, training, and preferences and care for your dog the way you’ve asked me to—not the way I think it should be done. Safety always comes first. Dogs stay securely leashed with me, I avoid interactions with other dogs unless you’ve specifically told me otherwise, keep an eye on what they’re getting into, avoid hot pavement, and double-check doors and gates. I do ask that any history of aggression be shared with me so I can keep both your dog and myself safe. I’m home during the day and have flexible availability for early-morning walks (even before 7!), daytime visits while you’re at work, and evenings. And fair warning: if you’re the kind of dog parent who loves getting pictures, you’ve found the right person. I will happily take a million. 😊 EM As a stay-at-home mom, my schedule is fairly flexible and pet care fits naturally into my day. I’m available for early-morning walks (including before 7 a.m.), daytime walks and drop-ins while you’re at work, and evening visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so getting outside for a walk or stopping in to give a pup some attention is something I look forward to—not just another task on my schedule. Your pet’s safety and your trust are my top priorities. In your home, I’ll always respect your routines, rules, and instructions—you know your pet best, and I believe their care should stay as familiar and consistent as possible. I’m very safety-conscious. I double-check doors and gates, keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid interactions with other dogs unless you’ve specifically told me otherwise, and pay close attention to my surroundings and to your dog’s behavior. I’m also careful about things like hot pavement and anything they may try to pick up along the way. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet with patience and genuine kindness. Whether they want to play and burn off some energy or just need calm company, affection, and a belly rub, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll also keep you updated and let you know if I notice anything unusual—even a small change in behavior.
