About: Dogs have been a part of my life since childhood, from growing up with a Labrador to caring for my own pets. With five years working in a grooming salon, I’m experienced in meeting the needs of all dogs, such as playful puppies, adult dogs, and seniors alike. I’m passionate about providing attentive, reliable care tailored to each dog’s personality and health. I’m currently a part-time PetSmart employee and a college student, which means I have weekday afternoons available for pet care. Weekends aren’t always ideal, but I’m happy to discuss arrangements and see what’s possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routine so your pet feels comfortable and secure. This includes feeding, fresh water, playtime, walks, bathroom breaks, and of course lots of love and attention. “Alissa was a real pleasure. We have a brand new 2yo rescue dog, Pixie, who is really sweet but can be a bit rambunctious and not 100% house trained. We needed to have someone come to our house who could follow our training regimen. None of our friends and neighbors were available. This was our first experience with Rover and Alissa was a gem. She was friendly, upbeat and enthusiastic about meeting and spending the weekend at our house with Pixie. Pixie is on heartworm meds and Alissa was on top of everything. About: My dad taught me at a young age how to care for, and respect all animals. I have turned this into a life long love for all animals, both domestic and wild. I am a vet assistant, and currently studying to be a certified vet tech. For the last two years I have worked at the local animal shelter, and for the last year, at a dog daycare as well. I have volunteered at Dakin for the best part of the last 15 years. This has included transportation of animals, dog walking, animal socialization, and the kitten ICU. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time for your furry family members. I am available during the week, on weekends, and holidays. Whether your dog likes the dog park, or playing in the backyard, we can play using their favorite toys. If they are more of a couch potato, I can accommodate them as well. If you have kitties that need company, we can play in the house, or go out for a stroller ride. I have a fenced in backyard for the dogs to play in. In the summer, a pool and water sprinkler will be available. I am a vet assistant, so I have first aid training for both dogs and cats. My house is air conditioned, perfect for relaxing on a summer day.
