Not ready to bring home a new dog, but would love to care for your precious fur babies while you are away. I offer patience and attention to your canine's needs. Available for walks, dog Parks (dog park with your approval), or hanging out in the yard secured on a 50 foot lead. Dogs are not left outside unattended. “We have only been away from our fur babies one time in all of the years that we have had them. They are both rescues and came from horrific pasts. The one time that we were away, a familiar family member stayed overnight with them. That being said, the decision to leave our fur babies (and our home) in the care of someone who was unfamiliar to them and us was a very stressful and uncomfortable feeling. After reading/reviewing numerous profiles and talking to/meeting with a few potential sitters, we were blessed to meet Georgia. We felt it was a perfect fit, on our end, shortly after she arrived at our home for the initial visit. Watching how Georgia interacted with our high energy and anxious dogs was heartwarming. Also, the fact that she was not bothered by Gunner's tearing/suckling of his blanket (which he has done since we rescued him and prior due to his anxiety) was a relief. Gunner and Zohie (as well as myself) immediately picked up Georgia's calmness and friendly nature. Georgia was extremely patient and open with me while I bombarded her with question after question and detail after detail about our dogs. At the end of our first meeting, I nervously asked Georgia if she thought she would want to take the responsibility of caring for our dogs and home while we were away. When Georgia said she was willing to take care of them, it was such a relief. Then I asked Georgia to come and spend more time with them/us again, prior to the overnight. She said, "Yes, of course!" and I felt that we had hit the jackpot! Prior to and during the stay, Georgia responded quickly to my numerous messages/questions/check ins. She sent us pics and kept us updated. When we returned home, our house was exactly as we left it and the dogs behaved as though we were not away. This made us feel as though they were comfortable and relaxed with Georgia while we were away. Georgia is truly invested in building relationships with pet owners as well as the pets. It is clear that Georgia cares about her responsibilities, loves animals, and takes this position seriously. She is a true gem and we are already talking about going away again very soon.”

About: I have had medium/large dogs for most of my life. I have taken care of a 35lb Australian Cattle dog as well as 2 pit bulls between 55-70lbs. I've also dog-sat a dog under 10lbs and walked dogs who were 140lbs. I've also worked in home with families who had cats ranging in size and demeanor. I work full time which is why I can only do sitting on weekends. I am looking to do more hobbies and this seems like something fun for me to add. I care for my dog Zelda who's partially blind so I have an awareness for disabled pups. That is also the reason I cannot board dogs in my home. I would likely spend a large portion of my day with the dog I'm taking care of, giving them some kind of walk during the day and making sure to lock up each time I leave the home. I have a schedule that’s a little all over the place but I’m willing to work out different times through the week that best suits you and your dog.
