“Jessica was very attentive to our 13 yr old dog, making sure he was well fed and got his multiple medications. She kept us updated with videos and photos. He was happy to see us when we got home but I think he also missed Jessica!”

“Having Julie G house sit and care for my 85 lb. hound Dave was dreamlike. She seemed to accept and appreciate Dave and his coonhound ways seamlessly from the jump. She took copious notes about Da daily needs and expectations at the meet & greet, asked intelligent questions about his routine and I was able to leave town completely confident Dave was in good loving hands. She sent me daily pics and reports while I was away, and left Dave mellower and the house cleaner than it was when I left. A terrific experience from my perspective Can't recommend Julie G strongly enough as a house and hound sitter.”

“Erin did a great job taking care of our dog and house. Our dog was healthy and happy when we returned home and our house was exactly as we had left it. We hope Erin is available the next time we travel.”

“Eryn was a great sitter for our kitties! She stayed overnight and made our kitties feel very comfortable. She was punctual and communicative. We will for sure be using her again! Thanks Eryn :)”

“Janessa is amazing and so trustworthy!!! She watched our 2 dogs while we were away and we didn’t have to worry at all. She provided just enough updates and we came home to a clean house! Would highly recommend Janessa”

About: Calm, quiet environment with a sitter who craves doggy time. My 12 year old black lab recently lost her fight with cancer. Not ready to bring home a new dog, but would love to care for your precious fur babies while you are away. I offer patience and attention to your canine's needs. I'm a human nurse but also experienced with dogs special needs such as insulin administration. I work Monday-Friday, Home on weekends. No young children. Available for walks, dog Parks (dog park with your approval), or hanging out in the yard secured on a 50 foot lead. Dogs are not left outside unattended. You're welcome to bring your pets favorite toy for us to use during their stay. Will try to keep them on your schedule for easy transition from home to sitter. I speak to animals as of they can respond. Days are better with happy pets! Friday drop-off at 5:30 pm. Sunday pick-up by 8:00pm. I have a large yard and a spacious house. Spend weekend around the house doing small projects, crafting or cleaning. It's a quiet, stress free household with a very flexible schedule. While I miss my own pet I'm looking to offer a love-centered environment similar to children visiting their favorite Aunties house.
“Krista was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Sabrina! She was very communicative and professional and took all our care instructions seriously. She was very respectful of our home as well, leaving everything even tidier than when we left and even grabbing the mail for us! We would absolutely have Krista care for Sabrina again!”

About: My dad taught me at a young age how to care for, and respect all animals. I have turned this into a life long love for all animals, both domestic and wild. I am a vet assistant, and currently studying to be a certified vet tech. For the last two years I have worked at the local animal shelter, and for the last year, at a dog daycare as well. I have volunteered at Dakin for the best part of the last 15 years. This has included transportation of animals, dog walking, animal socialization, and the kitten ICU. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time for your furry family members. I am available during the week, on weekends, and holidays. Whether your dog likes the dog park, or playing in the backyard, we can play using their favorite toys. If they are more of a couch potato, I can accommodate them as well. If you have kitties that need company, we can play in the house, or go out for a stroller ride. I have a fenced in backyard for the dogs to play in. In the summer, a pool and water sprinkler will be available. I am a vet assistant, so I have first aid training for both dogs and cats. My house is air conditioned, perfect for relaxing on a summer day.
“Ash really put in the time to make a connection with our very shy kitty, even briefly coming over a couple extra times before our trip to meet and connect with her! While we were gone, Ash fed Mari her favorite meals (especially raw mice) and gave her kitty massages. We came home to a relaxed cat who was happy and ready to play with us. We appreciate everything Ash did to make sure our girl (and garden!) were well-cared for during our week away.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since childhood, from growing up with a Labrador to caring for my own pets. With five years working in a grooming salon, I’m experienced in meeting the needs of all dogs, such as playful puppies, adult dogs, and seniors alike. I’m passionate about providing attentive, reliable care tailored to each dog’s personality and health. I’m currently a part-time PetSmart employee and a college student, which means I have weekday afternoons available for pet care. Weekends aren’t always ideal, but I’m happy to discuss arrangements and see what’s possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routine so your pet feels comfortable and secure. This includes feeding, fresh water, playtime, walks, bathroom breaks, and of course lots of love and attention. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs; whether it’s helping a puppy burn off energy, giving extra patience to a shy dog, or offering gentle care for seniors. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.

“Molly was wonderful with our high needs elderly dog. Molly was communicative, responsive, and sent many updates and photos throughout the day. We hope to have Molly watch our dog again and highly recommend Molly to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Brianna is a star! After moving Zora from the only home she had ever known less than a year ago, I was very unhappy about leaving her for a whole month, but I needed have worried. Zora and Brianna quickly formed an enduring bond and did SO well together. It was infinitely reassuring to receive regular texts, photos and videos of their days together. Brianna also took amazing care of my home and my plants. When I got home, everything was immaculate. Zora had obviously been content, well cared for and exercised during my absence. Definite five stars!! Thanks, Brianna!”

“Katelyn and her girls took wonderful care of Pierogi! Lots of photos, snuggles, and activity time. Will absolutely be booking her again for our next trip in August!”

“Jessica house sat for our special needs cat for several days. At one point he needed to go to the vet and she arranged everything with them and implemented a new medicine. We were provided with daily photos and had good communication while overseas. She followed directions provided for her and gave our boy lots of love while we were away!”

“Hailey did an excellent job caring for my two dogs. She provided detailed information and photos and stayed extra time to make sure my older dog ate his meal. I am so grateful to her for her wonderful care.”

“Ace is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Ace is so caring, compassionate, and dedicated to the happiness of her Adopted Fur Babies.... Which funnels through to the Fur Babies Momma. Ace is in constant communication and asks questions to assist with the Fur Babies happiness. We looked forward to all the pictures that Ace sent us. We could tell from these pictures that our Fur Babies were well taken care of and happy. Ace follows the plan of care so well, of course, Clyde and Bella are there to assist. lol Ace was so respectful of our home and left it in the same neatness as upon arrival. If I could, I would give ACE 10 stars!!!!! 🐾🐾💕”

“We came home to a very clean and organized home and, most importantly, two very happy dogs! Paisley did such a wonderful job taking care of Lander and Rosa. She kept us updated throughout our time away and sent lots of pictures, which I really appreciated and helped give us peace of mind while we were traveling. She was very attentive and clearly cared about our dogs and making sure they were happy and comfortable. Erin was exceptional. She took excellent care of our 2 dogs while we were away on a two-week trip, sending daily updates and pictures. It is always hard to leave our babies behind, but Erin made us feel so comfortable knowing that they were safe, healthy, and happy. Her communication and friendly nature easily make her one of the best dogsitters we’ve ever had. As a bonus, she helped keep our plants alive and took excellent care of our home. Highly recommend and just hope she’s available the next time we go on a trip!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Westfield on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,132 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westfield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
