“EJ has been great with my dog. She is very reliable and always informs me about how the visit went with a photo! She is there to take care of my dog but also pays mind to my other animals (5 cats) and treats them all so well. I would highly recommend EJ for services and she has continued to come to my house on a regular basis. She has followed my instructions (when occasionally provided) and has taken care of my puppy well! I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Pat is hands down the most incredible dog walker/sitter we could have ever found! I wish I could leave 10 stars because 5 is not enough! She goes above and beyond taking care of our fur babies 💗”

“Wendy was punctual, communicative and reliable with our last minute request on a holiday. Really grateful for her service and adorable pictures of our dog, Shadow. We will definitely use her in the near future.”

“Rylie has pet sat our cats and walked our dog several times and she always does an excellent job. She's responsible, responsive, and detail-oriented. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“We were very pleased to have Erin look after our cats while we were on vacation. She took excellent care of our kitties and was very reliable and caring. The regular updates and photos from her drop in visits were reassuring and very much appreciated. We will be rebooking with Erin in the future!”

“She was by far the best care taker we have used on rover. She took our drop in at the last minute and stayed the entire visit, was extremely attentive to the dogs, was clear with her communication and understanding our needs and did exactly as we asked. She even went above and beyond getting the dogs back in as they were being a little apprehensive about going back inside. Would HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be using again.”

“Jen did a great job with my two cats while I was away. She did all the tasks I had asked for and was excited to play with them. She sent me photos/videos of every single visit so I could make sure my boys were good to go! Thank you Jen, will book again!”

“Ace was wonderful with our kitty. Attentive, caring, and communicated a lot along the way. Didn’t shy away from having to give him insulin. I would absolutely use them again for cat sitting!”

“Alyssa was wonderful!! Our 2 dogs, Miller, Maggie and our cat Charlie loved her. This was our 1st time having someone take care of them and Alyssa was dependable, calm and caring! Our long weekend was more enjoyable because we didn't have to worry at all. Getting pictures after every visit, of them happy, was perfect!! We had a great experience, thank you Alyssa!!!”

“She was great with the dogs and did the job she was supposed to do. She also brought in a package and was clear with communication and attentive to our concerns. Also took on the job same day with an hour notice when another person canceled, would def recommend and use again .”

“Deborah was wonderful with our dog. She brought her on great walks and took the time to give her live and snuggles. Kelby clearly adored her when we got back from our trip!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals for the last 10 years. Dog walking, pet sitting and the occasional sleepover with friends/family animals. I am a newer cat mom (1.5 years) but rest assured, I have picked it up quick! I currently work full time in the school system however I have summers off so I will have lots of time come June to meet new animal friends! I have a half acre lot, not fenced. We currently use an e-collar for our 10 year old golden retriever Charlie. We do have a run available and could easily crate an animal should that be the owners preference. I can also do potty walks as we live in a beautiful neighborhood and close to Stanley Park.
About: Hi there! I'm Leah. I’m 27 years old, and I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years. I have an Associate's degree in Animal Science and I’m currently pursuing a nursing degree at Westfield State. For the past 5 years, I've been working full-time as a veterinary technician, gaining hands-on experience in providing medical care, administering medications, and handling pets with special needs. I’ve also worked on a petting zoo farm, where I cared for large animals, which gave me invaluable experience with a variety of species, from dogs and cats to rodents, chickens, pigs, cows and so much more. Whether it's feeding, walking, giving medications, or offering extra care, I’m comfortable with any pet care needs your furry friend may have. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every one of them with the love and attention they deserve. If you think I’d be a good fit for your pet, feel free to message me—I’d love to hear from you and help care for your beloved fur baby! I’m currently working part-time so I have lots of free times for your furry family member. I love to go for walks or just spend some time hanging out getting lots of attention. Since I’m a veterinary technician I work with dogs/cats of all different sizes and energy levels. I can be attentive to what your pet needs based on there energy level and age.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Westfield
Nicole has watched my dog multiple times now, including for an entire week recently, and I honestly can’t recommend her enough. She always goes above and beyond, stopping in consistently and making sure he’s well taken care of, comfortable, and happy. It gives me a huge peace of mind knowing he’s with someone so reliable, caring, and trustworthy whenever I’m away. We’ve had nothing but great experiences every time.

Amber came and took care of my cat while I was away for a week. He's very anxious but he was willing to come out and spend time with her while I was gone. I was afraid he would hide the whole time but she's very calm and good with animals. Thank you so much for watching Jack while I was away!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Westfield stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westfield. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
