My current job, as I work predominantly remotely, has a fairly flexible schedule. Because of this, I'm fortunate to be able to spend much of the day with the dogs in my care—not just the mornings and evenings. For 15 years, I had the privilege of sharing life with my sweet service dog, Brady. Together we learned, trained, explored, and adapted through every stage of life—from first swims to ongoing training and nosework, and later to weekly physical therapy, acupuncture appointments, and our favorite "ba-ba-baloney" song that became part of Brady's nightly medication routine during his senior years. I loved loving my boy. He taught me early on that every moment, no matter how small, is an opportunity to bring comfort, consistency, and so much joy. I've been fortunate to spend time with lots of different types of dogs—from beloved family companions to comfort dogs in higher education and even municipal working dogs. No matter their role or personality, I genuinely enjoy the thoughtful, individualized connection that helps each pup feel confident, secure, and understood. Whether we're heading out on an adventure or relaxing together while I work, I'm happy to adapt each day to what helps your dog feel most at ease. If they thrive on a consistent routine or have a detailed medication schedule, you can count on me to keep things familiar and consistent. The same goes for communication. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your pup is safe, comfortable, happy, and well-cared for. I work remotely, which means your dog gets promoted to coworker. My favorite colleagues just happen to have four legs. On the occasional day I head into the office for a meeting, I'm only about 15 minutes away from my home and have a full hour for lunch, making midday walks, potty breaks, playtime, and medication schedules easy to accommodate. My goal is to keep your dog's routine as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away My home is on a quiet side street with a fully fenced backyard and is less than a two-minute walk from a park, giving us easy access to open green space, plenty of opportunities to explore, and, for water-loving pups (with your permission, of course!), a splash pad on warm summer days. Whether I'm caring for your dog in my home or yours, my goal is to provide a safe, consistent environment that feels as familiar as possible.

About: I've been caring for a variety of animals(including dogs, cats, invertebrates, and livestock) for over a decade, since I was about 10 years old. I have experience with animal handling, animal care, dog walking, pet sitting, and animal training. I am a dog trainer, working on getting my CPDT certification and specializing in obedience and reactive dogs. But, I have also trained cats and pigs! I have worked with all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs, and understand dog body language like it's English. About: I love animals of all types, I have 3 dogs myself and have animals my whole life. I used to volunteer at a humane society. I believe in trying to give animals the best life possible. I will make your pet fit into my schedule multiple times a day. I work full time but can schedule a head of time to make sure all of your pets needs are fulfilled. Julie was such a calm presence for my pups. She took the time to get my nervous boy Bubba to trust her and by the end of her visit he obviously adored her. He was very spoiled and I am OK with that! Nala wanted to make sure Julie returned; as I found a stolen sock hidden away in her bed! Nala doesn't steal clothes unless she is very comfortable with someone. Julie even took the extra time to care for my little hedgehog, for which I'm very thankful as it was one less thing to worry about while I was away. I almost can't wait to go on a trip again, just so the pups can visit with Julie soon.
Bri came through for me and Piper over a last minute 4th of July getaway. It was our first time working with Bri. We set up multiple visits where Bri would come by the house during the time I was away. She was extremely communicative throughout. Most importantly she provided tremendous care for Piper, spoiling her with walks, playtime, and generally spending quality time with her during each visit. We have only been away from our fur babies one time in all of the years that we have had them. They are both rescues and came from horrific pasts. The one time that we were away, a familiar family member stayed overnight with them. That being said, the decision to leave our fur babies (and our home) in the care of someone who was unfamiliar to them and us was a very stressful and uncomfortable feeling. After reading/reviewing numerous profiles and talking to/meeting with a few potential sitters, we were blessed to meet Georgia. We felt it was a perfect fit, on our end, shortly after she arrived at our home for the initial visit. Watching how Georgia interacted with our high energy and anxious dogs was heartwarming. Also, the fact that she was not bothered by Gunner's tearing/suckling of his blanket (which he has done since we rescued him and prior due to his anxiety) was a relief. Gunner and Zohie (as well as myself) immediately picked up Georgia's calmness and friendly nature. Georgia was extremely patient and open with me while I bombarded her with question after question and detail after detail about our dogs. At the end of our first meeting, I nervously asked Georgia if she thought she would want to take the responsibility of caring for our dogs and home while we were away. When Georgia said she was willing to take care of them, it was such a relief. Then I asked Georgia to come and spend more time with them/us again, prior to the overnight. She said, "Yes, of course!" and I felt that we had hit the jackpot! Prior to and during the stay, Georgia responded quickly to my numerous messages/questions/check ins. She sent us pics and kept us updated. When we returned home, our house was exactly as we left it and the dogs behaved as though we were not away. This made us feel as though they were comfortable and relaxed with Georgia while we were away. Georgia is truly invested in building relationships with pet owners as well as the pets. It is clear that Georgia cares about her responsibilities, loves animals, and takes this position seriously. She is a true gem and we are already talking about going away again very soon.
Steph did a great job house sitting for us, from watering (many) plants to filling the birdbaths every day. Most important, our dogs loved her. She took care of their medication, special diets, etc., but also spent time playing with them and couching out which made them happy. She kept in good touch with us as well. We’ll definitely use Steph again.
