“Julissa was amazing. She house/petsit for Thanksgiving week and our dogs Ramsey and Waldo adored her. She went above and beyond of what we asked of her, was in constant communication, and completely trustworthy. We will look forward to hiring Julissa again. Thank you so much for your hard and amazing work!”

“Jonathan did an exceptional job dog-sitting and house-sitting for us for a full week. He was incredibly conscientious and highly communicative, sending regular updates and adorable pictures. Our dog absolutely adored him, and Jonathan took such great care of our home that we barely noticed he was there—yet we returned to a spotless house. We highly recommend him without hesitation.”

“Katie is THAT pet sitter. We really cannot say enough of how confident we are leaving Katie to care for our Rudi, Pearl and home. She is attentive, kind and truly empathetic to fur friends and to the people who love them. We highly regard her care and hope to always have her as our pet person in any future vacations. We cannot imagine a more caring, competent person to care for pets and a home!”

“Julie was amazingly flexible, as our schedule was unknown, and was there when we needed her. More importantly, she was good with Ricky, took him out for walks as well as for his sanitary needs, and kept us regularly informed, with pictures. If we are in the area again we will seek her to assist us, and Ricky, again.”

“Molly was wonderful with our high needs elderly dog. Molly was communicative, responsive, and sent many updates and photos throughout the day. We hope to have Molly watch our dog again and highly recommend Molly to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: I've been caring for a variety of animals(including dogs, cats, invertebrates, and livestock) for over a decade, since I was about 10 years old. I have experience with animal handling, animal care, dog walking, pet sitting, and animal training. I work with all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs, and am a dog trainer (I have also trained cats and pigs!) currently specializing in obedience and reactivity. I am currently working towards my CPDT and goodpup certifications. This is currently my main source of income, so I have fairly open availability. I also have a car with plenty of space so I can both commute and transport pets. I try to provide care for pets that is as close to their usual daily routine as possible. I make sure to follow meal times, usual potty breaks, and any other routines that they usually have.
About: I believe the best care starts with getting to know each dog's unique personality, routine, and comfort level. No two dogs—or pet parents—are exactly alike. Whether your dog thrives on long walks and adventures, enjoys practicing a few training cues (with allll the snackies!), or simply wants someone nearby while they snooze, I adapt my care to what helps both of you feel comfortable and confident while you're apart. My current job, as I work predominantly remotely, has a fairly flexible schedule. Because of this, I'm fortunate to be able to spend much of the day with the dogs in my care—not just the mornings and evenings. For 15 years, I had the privilege of sharing life with my sweet service dog, Brady. Together we learned, trained, explored, and adapted through every stage of life—from first swims to ongoing training and nosework, and later to weekly physical therapy, acupuncture appointments, and our favorite "ba-ba-baloney" song that became part of Brady's nightly medication routine during his senior years. I loved loving my boy. He taught me early on that every moment, no matter how small, is an opportunity to bring comfort, consistency, and so much joy. I've been fortunate to spend time with lots of different types of dogs—from beloved family companions to comfort dogs in higher education and even municipal working dogs. No matter their role or personality, I genuinely enjoy the thoughtful, individualized connection that helps each pup feel confident, secure, and understood. Whether we're heading out on an adventure or relaxing together while I work, I'm happy to adapt each day to what helps your dog feel most at ease. If they thrive on a consistent routine or have a detailed medication schedule, you can count on me to keep things familiar and consistent. The same goes for communication. If you love updates, photos, and the occasional goofy dog selfie throughout the day, I'm all in. If you'd rather unplug and receive one thoughtful update each evening, I'm happy to do that, too. My goal is to tailor not only your dog's care, but your experience as their person. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your pup is safe, comfortable, happy, and well-cared for. I work remotely, which means your dog gets promoted to coworker. My favorite colleagues just happen to have four legs. On the occasional day I head into the office for a meeting, I'm only about 15 minutes away from my home and have a full hour for lunch, making midday walks, potty breaks, playtime, and medication schedules easy to accommodate. My goal is to keep your dog's routine as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away My home is on a quiet side street with a fully fenced backyard and is less than a two-minute walk from a park, giving us easy access to open green space, plenty of opportunities to explore, and, for water-loving pups (with your permission, of course!), a splash pad on warm summer days. Whether I'm caring for your dog in my home or yours, my goal is to provide a safe, consistent environment that feels as familiar as possible.
“We booked Brianna last minute. She made time to come and meet with us and our pup. She took great care of Roscoe and our home. Sent lots of pictures and was good with communication. Recommended!”
“Sarah is a phenomenal dog sitter. My anxious dogs bonded with her immediately so I felt very comfortable leaving for my trip. She texted multiple updates a day, including pictures. I will definitely book with her again!”

“We highly recommend Lauren. We came home to a happy dog and a tidy house. She was great about communicating and sent some really cute pictures. Honestly, we were kind of glad our normal kennel was booked or we wouldn't have connected with Lauren.”

“I was hesitant to have a near stranger stay with my fur babies for 6 days (including overnights) and am beyond thrilled with my experience with Lisa! She came twice to meet/visit before my trip and I knew she right away she was “Good People”! I received updates, photos and videos everyday. I would give her a hundred stars if I could! Thank you to Lisa (& Rover) 🐾”

“Brooke was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We reached out with a last-minute request, and she was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with from the start. She kept us updated throughout our trip with messages, photos, and videos which gave us so much peace of mind. Alissa came as advertised! She house sat with my two dogs and was just wonderful in her care and communication while I was gone. She is a very positive person who I know Lucy and Luna enjoyed very much. I wouldn't hesitate to have Alissa agin when the need arises

Rebecca took such good care of our dogs and home. She was super personable, flexible, attentive, playful, patient and thoughtful with our pets. She was also professional, prompt and thorough in all communications, including regular photo and message updates on our two pups. We have been completely impressed with and reassured by the way Rebecca watched after our dogs and home while we were away. We will be very happy to work with her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ludlow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ludlow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ludlow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
