“Katie is THAT pet sitter. We really cannot say enough of how confident we are leaving Katie to care for our Rudi, Pearl and home. She is attentive, kind and truly empathetic to fur friends and to the people who love them. We highly regard her care and hope to always have her as our pet person in any future vacations. We cannot imagine a more caring, competent person to care for pets and a home!”

“Jonathan did an exceptional job dog-sitting and house-sitting for us for a full week. He was incredibly conscientious and highly communicative, sending regular updates and adorable pictures. Our dog absolutely adored him, and Jonathan took such great care of our home that we barely noticed he was there—yet we returned to a spotless house. We highly recommend him without hesitation.”

“I was hesitant to have a near stranger stay with my fur babies for 6 days (including overnights) and am beyond thrilled with my experience with Lisa! She came twice to meet/visit before my trip and I knew she right away she was “Good People”! I received updates, photos and videos everyday. I would give her a hundred stars if I could! Thank you to Lisa (& Rover) 🐾”

“She was amazing with our dog Stella! Took such great care of her and made sure she got plenty of love and attention. Stella got to go on rides and even a hike, which she absolutely loved. It was such a relief knowing she was in great hands. We’d definitely book again!”

“Alissa is a responsive and lovely sitter! Booked her last minute for a weekend trip and she was prompt in accepting the request and responding to any questions or updates I requested. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Allyson house sat for our old boy for four nights and was simply a dream sitter! She was communicative, sent photos daily, and it was clear she was loving our boy every minute she was home. We will definitely have Ally back anytime she’d like- she’s the best!”

About: With extensive experience in pet care, I've honed my skills in providing comprehensive and compassionate care for a variety of animals. From dogs and cats to birds and small mammals, I understand the unique needs and behaviors of each species. My experience includes feeding, grooming, administering medication, and providing exercise and enrichment activities. Whether it's a daily walk, a weekend getaway, or long-term care, you can trust that your beloved pets will receive the highest level of care and attention in a safe and comfortable environment. My goal is to provide peace of mind for pet owners, knowing their furry, feathered, or scaled companions are in capable and caring hands. I’m currently working full time at a horse facility, however I am free on Tuesdays and Thursday’s as well as most mornings and any time after 5 pm As a pet sitter, safety and environmental care are my top priorities. I create a secure and comfortable environment for your pets, ensuring they are free from hazards and have access to clean and comfortable spaces. I follow all safety protocols, including proper leash handling, secure enclosures, and careful monitoring of interactions with other animals. Additionally, I am committed to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, regularly cleaning and disinfecting feeding areas, litter boxes, and other spaces. I also take precautions to protect your home, following your instructions for security and respecting your property. You can trust that your pets will be safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in a clean and secure environment under my supervision.
“Debbie was absolutely incredible with my 2.5 year old pit mix Brooks. He took to them almost instantly at the meet and greet, and I felt 100% comfortable with them staying at my house and looking after him. Debbie kept me updated with pictures and texts and took amazing care of him. Having somebody stay in your house and look after your pet is always a little daunting, but after chatting with Debbie and her partner for 20 minutes while they got to know Brooks I had no hesitation about having Debbie stay and care for him. Debbie and her partner are really awesome people and clearly both love — and are good with — animals. Debbie will be my go-to first choice for any dog sitting I need doing in the future, without a doubt.”

“We highly recommend Lauren. We came home to a happy dog and a tidy house. She was great about communicating and sent some really cute pictures. Honestly, we were kind of glad our normal kennel was booked or we wouldn't have connected with Lauren.”

About: I have done both walking and house sitting for family and neighbors for five years, and have worked with and am comfortable handling both large and small dogs. I grew up owning dogs, including a shitzu mix, a poodle mix, and a shelter girl of unknown breed. While all but one of the dogs I have owned were under 20 pounds, most of my history in pet sitting has been with has been with dogs in the 30-70 pound range, including labs, huskies, and a pit bull mix as my most frequent clients. I have experience with owning a fear reactive dog, but my comfort with taking care of them will be on a case by case basis. I also have experience with training young dogs for crating, potty training, and leash training I am currently exclusively self employed and have a flexible schedule with my income sources, so I am available most days and times of the week At this time I am only able to provide care in my clients home, I am unable to provide boarding due to limited space in my house I will work with owners to maintain your pets normal schedule, including feeding and walks. I am comfortable crating and using alternate feeders or feeding styles as needed Dogs will never be outside unattended, and will be kept on leash or in fenced in yards unless the owner specifically requests that I do otherwise. Cats will not be taken outside for any reason unless requested by owners. All animals will receive a significant amount of play and/or pet time during each visit, assuming the animal is comfortable with and enjoying it For drop ins, I will provide at least one update per visit including pictures. For continuous house sitting, as my standard I will provide at least three updates per day (morning, mid day, and afternoon/evening) with at least one photo per update. If you would like more or less updates, just let me know and I am fully willing to work with you to get you the amount of contact desired

I care for every pet as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I currently am only going to be taking classes online so I have a very open and flexible schedule. I am available 7 days a week. About: Ive had a dog for 5 years. She’s a corgi and her name is Lily. I have potty trained her and trained her on several commands. I would love and care any other dog as if they were my own. I work full time so this would be more of a part time thing whenever I’m available. I work from home so getting out and walking or watching dogs would be great. I have a fenced in yard and have one dog and two cats. I won’t be boarding for now. This would be more of taking them on walks or check in on them or house sit.
“Kage did a great job and sent pics and messages during his stay with Cooper. He was well informed and great communication. I would highly recommend his services and would gladly book again when needed. Thank you!”

“Samantha was fantastic! She handled both my senior dog and young cat with care and kept me updated continuously. My cat never comes out for strangers but it only took a couple hours of Samantha’s calm energy to allow him to feel comfortable enough to greet her. I definitely recommend Samantha for any pet needs you may have! She is honest and clear with you so you can feel confident your pets are being well cared for while you are gone! Thank you so much Samantha!”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time using a pet sitter, and I was nervous about having someone stay in my house, but she completely put me at ease. My senior cat and new puppy both adored her right away — my cat even curled up on her lap, which rarely happens with new people! Sarah’s updates were super thoughtful, perfectly timed, and showed how much she truly cared. I couldn’t have asked for a better first petsitting experience. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Jessica was an amazing sitter & took great care of our little zoo! Our pups are high energy, and when we got back they were relaxed, happy and clearly well taken care of. We would definitely have Jessica watch them again!”

“Julissa stayed in my home for 6 days caring for my two dogs. She was promt and responsive and my dogs were happy and healthy when I arrived home. She also left the house in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to hire her again!”

“Brianna is a star! After moving Zora from the only home she had ever known less than a year ago, I was very unhappy about leaving her for a whole month, but I needed have worried. Zora and Brianna quickly formed an enduring bond and did SO well together. It was infinitely reassuring to receive regular texts, photos and videos of their days together. Brianna also took amazing care of my home and my plants. When I got home, everything was immaculate. Zora had obviously been content, well cared for and exercised during my absence. Definite five stars!! Thanks, Brianna!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Three Rivers
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,085 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Three Rivers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Three Rivers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Three Rivers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Three Rivers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Three Rivers. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
