About: We're a husband-and-wife team who spent nearly 20 years with four beloved adopted pets, all with their own quirks, personalities and needs. In another life, Laura worked in veterinary hospitals and emergency care with plans of becoming a veterinarian. Life ultimately took her in another direction, but the love of animals stuck – and our own pets taught us plenty, too. Especially Winston. He came to us after a really tough start, fearful and reactive to just about everything. With the help of veterinarians and positive reinforcement–based trainers – and a whole lot of patience, play and love – he became the sweetest snuggler, constant shadow and one of the great loves of our lives. Now after saying goodbye to the last of our four, the house is just too quiet. We're not ready for new pets yet, but we miss that presence only an animal can bring. One of us works from home, and the other is home frequently, so your dog will have lots of company throughout the day and rarely be left alone. I am a born animal lover and will treat your pet as if they were my own. I do work full time, so would mostly be available weekends but can be flexible depending on the situation. My job provides me with skills that would be helpful in caring for older animals and animals with health conditions. Comfortable with both dogs and cats. About: My dog passed away at age 18 and my family decided that we are not going to get another one. Being able to care for other people's dogs will be a joy. I am not good about updating my calendar. About: I have cared for dogs since I got my first puppy when I was 12 years old. Since then I have volunteered for several years at a wolfdog sanctuary. When I worked at Hawaii Volcano National Park I volunteered to walk the Park hunting dogs and clean their enclosure several times a week. A have dog sat for a very elderly,infirm English mastiff that could no longer stand on its own. I am very experienced in getting puppers to take medication. I have done house/dog sat for up to a month at a time for 2 dogs and 3 cats, making sure they are all fed and entertained. I absolutely adore animals, but particularly love dogs. About: Hello! I am a veterinary technician of 16 years. I have my Master Trainers certificate for police and military k9s and I love all animals. I am currently working part-time as a surgical veterinary technician and shift lead. I have a very flexible schedule and open availability. I do not have many limitations when it comes to my schedule. I currently live in a nice and clean apartment complex. The complex has two large open grassy areas, and it is fenced in. I am accustomed to leash walking, gentle leader training, pinch collar training and harness training. I live close by to multiple dog parks, trails and my current place of employment. I have a very sweet and loving spayed female Vizsla who is now 8 years old. She is extremely dog friendly and plays wonderfully with others. I also have a spayed female 10 month mixed breed named Ginny, who is also very sweet, playful and friendly. If you are interested in overnight pet care at my home I do have two cats, both are great with dogs and also very friendly. I also have the ability to crate train overnight if needed. In addition I offer obedience training services.

“James and Reichel made my first experience boarding my medium sized dog though Rover.com so easy and pleasant! They communicated every day with pictures and video clips to let me know how my pup was doing. I appreciate that when my dog was having a little trouble getting along with their dog, they found a way to make it work so that everyone was happy. My dog isn't neutered and they were aware of some of his Alpha tendencies so I greatly appreciate their willingness to still work with him. After bringing him home after a week with James, he was in such high spirits that it shows he was clearly well attended to and received all the love and care. Before this, whenever I used a kennel to board my dog, I'd pick him up and he'd be depressed for a week. Sometimes even a little sick. It tells me that the one-on-one attention from James and Reichel is the way to go! My furry boy had the best vacation as did we knowing he was in good hands!”
