I work remotely, which means your dog gets promoted to coworker. My favorite colleagues just happen to have four legs. On the occasional day I head into the office for a meeting, I'm only about 15 minutes away from my home and have a full hour for lunch, making midday walks, potty breaks, playtime, and medication schedules easy to accommodate. My goal is to keep your dog's routine as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away

Information Katherine N. would like to know about your pet

I'm a big fan of communicating any specific needs/preferences (such as dietary, medication-related, and behavioral) that will best help me care for your pup. I also welcome knowing your preference in terms of updates as I will also happily provide you with text updates and photos as you like.

A typical day

I like to tailor your dog's stay to their (and your!) specific preferences and joys. We can go on neighborhood walks, hang out in my fenced in backyard, check out the park (including the splash pad in the summer!), work on practicing any commands/tricks you're in the process of training, snooze away my airconditioned home, or catch all the sunbeams and look out the windows of my front porch. I work remotely most days, so your dog will have company throughout the day while I work with frequent potty/walking breaks. I also have an hour-long lunch so it's the perfect time for an extended adventure, if needed.

Pet care experience

I believe the best care starts with getting to know each dog's unique personality, routine, and comfort level. No two dogs—or pet parents—are exactly alike. Whether your dog thrives on long walks and adventures, enjoys practicing a few training cues (with allll the snackies!), or simply wants someone nearby while they snooze, I adapt my care to what helps both of you feel comfortable and confident while you're apart. My current job, as I work predominantly remotely, has a fairly flexible schedule. Because of this, I'm fortunate to be able to spend much of the day with the dogs in my care—not just the mornings and evenings. For 15 years, I had the privilege of sharing life with my sweet service dog, Brady. Together we learned, trained, explored, and adapted through every stage of life—from first swims to ongoing training and nosework, and later to weekly physical therapy, acupuncture appointments, and our favorite "ba-ba-baloney" song that became part of Brady's nightly medication routine during his senior years. I loved loving my boy. He taught me early on that every moment, no matter how small, is an opportunity to bring comfort, consistency, and so much joy. I've been fortunate to spend time with lots of different types of dogs—from beloved family companions to comfort dogs in higher education and even municipal working dogs. No matter their role or personality, I genuinely enjoy the thoughtful, individualized connection that helps each pup feel confident, secure, and understood. Whether we're heading out on an adventure or relaxing together while I work, I'm happy to adapt each day to what helps your dog feel most at ease. If they thrive on a consistent routine or have a detailed medication schedule, you can count on me to keep things familiar and consistent. The same goes for communication. If you love updates, photos, and the occasional goofy dog selfie throughout the day, I'm all in. If you'd rather unplug and receive one thoughtful update each evening, I'm happy to do that, too. My goal is to tailor not only your dog's care, but your experience as their person. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your pup is safe, comfortable, happy, and well-cared for.

I've known Kat for 3+ years now in helping to take care of her senior dog, Brady. Brady was a wonderful dog who Kat took incredible care of. He had been through the ringer medically, and Kat was always there to notice the issues and take the best course of action. He wanted for nothing- lots of walks, ball play, car rides, and anything else he could have wanted, she gave him. She has helped me take care of my foster cat recently, also. I have no doubt that she will take care of anyone's babies as if they were her own. Any dog that is boarded with her would be very lucky to have all of her attention showered on them, and you will rest easy knowing this incredible person is taking care of your pet. I highly recommend Kat to help with any pet care needs.

Kat was so flexible and accommodating for a last minute new booking. super communicative and lovely to work with. She has a lot of experience with dogs with mobility concerns.I know my dog had a great time hanging out with her — I would truly recommend her dog sitting services to anyone who needs it.

i met katherine and her dog brady in 2015 when we were next door neighbors. kat is a kind, generous, caring, open-hearted and fun-loving friend and these qualities extend to her regard for and treatment of animals. kat and brady were a remarkable team because kat always offered brady the respect, love and care that all animals deserve. beyond this, kat understands animals and is extremely sensitive to their needs. i have seen this in her interactions with and care for my own dog, gracie. kat is dependable, responsible, and an excellent communicator. it is guaranteed that you can rely on kat to provide consistent, safe, and loving care to you and your pet.

Kat was amazing to step in last minute and watch our dog for us when we had to unexpectedly go out of town. Our dog is older and is on medications and she took the best care of him. We would have Kat watch our dog any day, we were extremely comfortable leaving him in her hands!
