Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in their homes, staying with them. My priority is getting emergency contact numbers, and procedures in case of emergency. I follow pets’ normal daily routines as closely as possible, and make sure to give them plenty of love, attention, exercise, play, and socialization.
Information Jessica W. would like to know about your pet
Please give me extremely detailed instructions for caring for your pet! I want to make sure they are taken care of, happy, and stay healthy while you're away! This includes detailed instructions with administering medication, walks, interacting with other dogs, dietary restrictions/preferences, and a list of emergency contacts in case your pet needs specialized care while you're away. Please also include anything about your pet that could potentially be alarming - they periodically have sneezing or coughing spells, etc - even though you, as their human, are quite used to it.
A typical day
I love engaging dogs in play, taking them on long walks to explore a neighborhood, and throwing toys for them to fetch. I love playing with laser pointers and using catnip to engage cats. It really fills my bucket to play with pets and to see them having fun!

Pet care experience
When I was young, 4 or 5 years old, I'd go with my grandparents when they took care of the neighborhood animals - cats, dogs, and sheep. I really enjoyed their Siamese cats that they adopted from neighbors down the road. When I was 10, my family got Maxx - a Golden Retriever/Samoyed mix. He became diabetic and needed insulin shots later on, and I helped administer those. After I became an adult, I adopted 2 cats with a partner. When we split, I took the cat that had bonded with me and cared for her until she passed at age 18. She developed thyroid disease and it took me a while to figure out how to get her meds in her, but I did and she had a much higher quality of life. I also switched to feeding her Gerber baby food (she preferred that brand over Beechnut, I'm not kidding) when she started to get even fussier about her food. Before that I helped care fore my grandparents' Siamese - I would microwave small chunks of hamburger for him and give him subcutaneous water treatments at home, and he ACTUALLY sat quietly and patiently during the treatments, the vet couldn't believe it! **I particularly enjoy, and excel at, working with older pets, pets with special needs, and shy or skittish pets.**

Reviews

Jessica was yet again amazing with our rambunctious crew! They are always so well taken care of when she's over, and she also takes great care of the house, chickens and all! We will definitely continue using Jessica as our go-to sitter

Jessica was always quick to respond to messages and understanding of taking care of very shy cats.

Jessica was an amazing sitter & took great care of our little zoo! Our pups are high energy, and when we got back they were relaxed, happy and clearly well taken care of. We would definitely have Jessica watch them again!

Charlie had another great stay with Jessica. She was attentive to him, letting us know his chronic cough was increasing. She managed it well, professionally and patiently, with permission from us to give an extra dose of one of his medications. She communicated with us throughout the stay-
