“Aaliyah was great with my Beau. He’s very passionate about his pool time and Aaliyah made him a happy boy by playing fetch with him in the pool. She was very communicative which I really appreciate.”

“Erica did a great job taking care of our Zoe while we were away. She came as scheduled 3 times each day and I was extremely pleased with her detailed information with each check-in with Zoe. She sent pictures and videos with each visit. She is a great pet sitter/walker and we could tell how well she took care of Zoe. This was our first time using Rover and we are definitely planning to book with Erica in the future.”

“Chloe stopped by every other day for nearly 3 weeks to care for my 5 ducks and 2 cats. She was communicative and reliable. Everyone was healthy and happy when I got home. I hope to book her again!”

“I’ve used a few different sitters on Rover before and have had great experiences, but Brett truly went above and beyond. He sent tons of pictures during each drop-in with the cutest (and funniest) commentary, which made being away so much easier. He even made friends with my cat who normally hides from strangers — I was shocked! He was also extra gentle and loving with my senior dog, which meant so much to me. It’s clear he genuinely cares. I would absolutely book him again and highly recommend him.”

About: When I was little and people asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said 'dog walker' — and now I finally get to live that dream! This summer I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I have experience with both small and large dogs, as well as cats, and I treat every animal like my own. This summer I'm home in Olympia taking a college course, so my days are flexible and my focus is simple — hitting the books and spoiling some fur babies! I have plenty of time and am committed to giving your pet consistent, reliable care My home comes with a large fenced yard — plenty of room for your pup to run wild, explore, and have the time of their life!
“This week I was unable to make it home at lunch each day to let my pups out but I wasn’t worried about them because Deidre was available to do drop in visits. She is amazing and both my pups love it when she visits them”

About: I have been pet sitting for the a couple years, caring for both dogs and cats in a variety of settings. I have experience with multi-dog households, including overnight stays for over a week as well as shorter visits, holiday stays, play dates and walks. My experience includes walks, drop in care, feeding and meal routines, administering medications, avoiding pet allergies and of course playtime! I have dog sat for puppies less than two months old to senior dogs with mobility issues who need extra care, diets and sensitivity. I have grown up caring for my own dogs and cats, so I am very comfortable with animals of all ages and personalities. I genuinely love animals and prioritize making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I am currently out of school for the summer, working part time and focusing on side work, which allows me to have a flexible schedule. I have open availability for pet care throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I provide reliable care in my client’s home by following the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, giving any medications as directed, and keeping their space clean and comfortable. I also make sure pets get plenty of companionship, playtime, and mental stimulation through walks, play, and positive interaction. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owner is away. I give clients updates and photos during my stay, and always leave a summary of my time with their pets at the end!
“Annmarie was fabulous! I would use her again! She is thoughtful and caring about your pet. Sent pictures and you can tell she cares for your family pet kindly. So glad to have found her!!! Thank you”

“Yvonne was great with taking care of our dog when we needed someone for a last minute trip. She was quick to schedule a meet and greet, was very kind, and was always quick to respond whenever I messaged her to check in. I would definitely recommend her and will rebook with her in the future!”

“Johanna goes above and beyond every time she cares for our three dogs, and we couldn't ask for a better dog sitter! She adapts to the personalities and needs of all our girls, from our energetic puppy to our velcro dog who needs lots of love. Johanna's photos and detailed updates show just how attentive and conscientious she is of each of our pups, and I always feel reassured that she is providing excellent care for them while we are away from home. So grateful to have found such a reliable sitter!”

“Jerrie is a reliable sitter and always sends me photos of my dog playing outside. She takes great care of him when I’m away. Plus, she has saved me at the last minute and been available with short notice.”
“Sarah is a wonderful sitter! Booked her for two drop-ins with walks and my dogs absolutely loved her. One of my dogs is a little older and requires medication and she was very gentle getting her to take it. She’s very communicative throughout. Absolutely recommend Sarah!”

“Savannah took great care of our cat and dog while we were out of town. It was our first time hiring someone to drop in and we were a little nervous about the whole idea. Savannah immediately put those concerns at ease. She has a really good energy with animals and our girls knew it right away. Highly recommended!”

“Lizzy was great with our dogs and kept us updated the whole trip with photos and messages letting us know how they were doing! I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her in the future”

“Naomi is wonderful! She communicates very well and spends a lot of time personalizing her drop in visits to make sure my pup is fully fulfilled while I’m gone. She has a calm demeanor and is so patient with my wild girl! Highly recommend!”

“Hallie was amazing with all of our animals and she took care of then with love and care. One of our fur babies is the most anxious pup and she was able to get her to open up to her! Will definitely keep her in our contacts for the next time we need someone to watch our fur babies!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Westside
Madisyn was absolutely AMAZING! This was my first time using Rover. We usually boarded our shepherds and had someone look after my old man. We lost one of shepherds suddenly in December so our situation changed. My dogs are my life and my old man is 13 years old and I know I don’t have long left with him. I am very protective over my dogs and knowing I have a senior dog made me so nervous. After I first met Madisyn she put my worries to ease and then continued the whole time we were gone. She went above and beyond what was asked of her. She always communicated and sent pictures. Even though she didn’t know my dogs she treated them like they were her own. It made my heart happy and I am so appreciative and thankful for Madisyn. She was truly a blessing to me and my dogs ❤️❤️❤️

Helena was great - consistent, reliable, got some play time in with my brave cat, and even got some scritches in with my terribly shy cat. I appreciate the daily photos and updates - much less stressful on the cats than being boarded, and less stressful on me knowing they're getting reliable, daily care and check ins.

My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. Love, Ben, Jen, Mr. Christmas, and “his dog” Ruby.
