Pet care fits very well into my routine. I work part-time as a caregiver for my father, but I’m only needed if his other caregivers call out, which happens very rarely. This means my schedule is very open and flexible, and I can easily adjust to fit your pet’s needs—whether that’s walks, feedings, playtime, or any special care.

I’m happy to meet beforehand so you can get to know me and feel confident leaving your pet in my care—especially for overnight stays or extended visits. I treat every pet like family, following their routines closely and prioritizing their well-being, including administering medications or supplements when needed.

A typical day
I love spending quality time with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I enjoy walks, fetch, tug-of-war, and reinforcing good behavior. With cats, I keep them engaged with feather wands, interactive toys, or hand-feeding/treats for picky eaters. I make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need while maintaining a clean, cozy, and safe environment.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for animals for over 6 years and love spending time with pets of all ages. I’ve worked with puppies and kittens (as young as 5–8 weeks old) as well as senior dogs and cats who need extra patience and care. I’m comfortable giving oral medications and supplements to both dogs and cats and following any special routines they may have. I’ve also cared for a variety of personalities and behaviors, including leash-reactive dogs, dogs who are reactive to people or other animals, Velcro cats, and more independent or “spicy” cats. I always approach each pet with patience, consistency, and lots of love so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.

Johanna did above and beyond to care for our cats while my fiance and I were traveling. I would highly recommend her, and I appreciate her flexibility with scheduling. She was very invested in making sure our cats were safe, taken care of, and her daily reports were very reassuring!
Johanna is an absolute gem! We have a rescue dog who’s still learning to trust new people. It was our first time away from him and she was so patient and attentive with his unique needs.
