Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and after 7 years of dog-sitting and pet care, I’ve learned that every dog is different. They all have their own personalities, routines, and little quirks, and I really enjoy getting to know them. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely care about making sure each dog feels comfortable and safe in my care. My experience includes everything from everyday pet sitting and companionship to caring for large, strong, high-energy, and less-trained dogs. I’ve also had the opportunity to shadow an experienced professional dog trainer, which gave me hands-on experience working with energetic dogs who need a little more patience, structure, and attention on walks. Something that’s especially important to me is that your pet is actually happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I don’t want to just make sure they’re fed, walked, and taken care of physically—I want them to feel like they’re having a good day. Whether that means playing, getting some extra attention, going on a good walk, getting plenty of cuddles, or simply giving them space to relax, I try to pay attention to what each individual dog enjoys and needs. I know it can be difficult to leave your pets with someone else, so I take that trust seriously. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable with me and for you to feel confident knowing they’re being well cared for while you’re away. I’d love to meet your pup and get to know them!

I will make sure your pet doesn't get into anything they shouldn't. I'll respect yours, and your pets, home - cleaning up any and all messes created by your pet, and leaving no trace of my visit (other than a happy pet). I'll ensure I know about their habits and favorite toys before I work for you.

I have known Cora Smith since she was about 7 years old. She has always always been someone who adored animals. Both of the cats that became beloved household pets were chosen by Cora - and she helped care for them often. I honestly can’t think of a better person to join Rover than Cora. She had only gotten more responsible for taking care of pets for others. She is very good at helping pets learning to be calm and responsive to caregivers needs. She would be a wonderful addition to the Rover team She is very patient & doesn’t get easily frustrated with problematic pet behavior.

Schedule
Rover is my full time job so other than other walks or meet and greets I may have to attend, I have a very open schedule and lots of time to devote to your pet and shouldn’t ever need to be gone for more than a couple hours if needed for your animals specific needs. :)

- Before we book our first visit, it helps to know a few things about your pet’s routine and personality so I can keep them safe and comfortable. Please let me know about any unique quirks or clever habits they have—like a dog who knows how to open doors, or a cat with a very specific hiding spot. If they need daily medication or supplements, I am happy to give them as long as they can be easily mixed into wet food or hidden in a treat, since I don't give pills directly by hand. It's also incredibly helpful to know if they deal with separation anxiety. Letting me know their favorite calming techniques, comfort items, or general signs of stress helps me keep things peaceful and reassuring for them while you're away.
