About: Our dogs have been our best friends for 20 years. We give them the treatment they deserve such as tons of pampering, love and care! I am currently going to school to be a vet technician and I volunteer at the animal shelter in the cat and dog rooms. I have experience handling all different types and sizes of dogs. I used to volunteer with the Humane Society where I walked dogs and helped work play groups which helped the dogs gain social skills and helped them to get adopted. About: I've had two dogs as pets, one for 15 years and another lived until 11. I miss the companionship and would love to walk a few dogs in the neighborhood during work breaks. I work full-time locally and would love to break up my day with check-ins or dog walks. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to plan ahead for check-in, play, or for longer walks (up to an hour and a half). I have lived in Olympia since 2013. I am very comfortable working with dogs and have a soft spot for senior dogs or those with special needs. My last dog had degenerative myelopathy and enjoyed modified walks and exercise until the end. About: I have trained my own heeler puppy since she was 10 weeks old. As well as helped raise another cattle dog until he was 8yo and have cared for and loved many different animals over the years I'm working part time and make up my own schedule. “Fellow Rover Parents, when in need call Amanda! A last minute drop out by a dog care person put me in a bind. Amanda stepped up and took on Chidi and Ellie for an extended weekend visit. The puppies returned home well fed and cared for, along with some needed and appreciated dog training! Good home environment for my puppies was much appreciated, along with walks and run around time. “Our worried whippets had a wonderful first stay with Margaret! Our girls usually don't eat much/if at all when staying with a dog sitter because they get separation anxiety being away from their family but they ate with Margaret which told me everything. Our girls were happy, safe, and comfortable. Margaret's other dog Mochi was a sweet heart too who was patient with our nervous pups. One of our dogs is scared of any dog bigger than her but Mochi gave her space and was gentle during our meet and greet. The pictures I received showed me how relaxed the pups were, which is exactly what they needed. We have definitely found a go-to dog sitter :).”
