“Renata and Rhonda were so thoughtful and thorough, taking lots of pictures and leaving detailed recaps which really helped calm my nerves while I was away. They were so easy to work with and really cared about my animals. 10/10”

“Mattie was great. I am waiting for knee surgery and can't walk my dogs so a friend recommended Rover. I chose Mattie and she came over the same day I booked. She walked my dogs and I was able to bicycle along with them and we had a very nice time. I highly recommend her! Thanks Mattie :)”

“Olivia had great communication and offered to help with short notice. It was so nice knowing we could leave for a long period of time and Baxter was taken care of! She took him for a walk and made sure he had fresh water after. Love all the pictures! I will definitely reach out to her again!”

About: Growing up I've always had pets of all shapes and sizes. My household was almost like a shelter because we would often take in strays and friends pets they could not longer care for. Neighbors and friends would also ask me to pet sit while they away or check in/walk their animal if they're gone too long. Because of all this I've cared for many cats and dogs of various ages so I understand what kind of care each animal may need. I'm currently going to be doing rover full time so I'll always have availability for your pets. Also I'm almost always around on holidays! At home I have three cats and two dogs (I'm not the only caretaker), and they're all incredibly friendly. Our house is a little small so another location is preferred.
“Braden and Grace did a wonderful job and went above and beyond in taking care of my pup while away I was away for 7 days. Much appreciated and would definitely request them again in the future. :)”

About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.
About: Pet care for me started when I was 10 years old and visiting my grandma on a farm - while my sisters played Barbie’s, I played in the dirt and cared for and played with chickens, cows, goats, and all the stray farm cats. I have loved any and all animals ever since! I have never had a moment in my life where there wasn't a dog or a cat in my family and right now we have three amazing (big) dogs! I understand that every animal has a different personality and routine, so I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their own environment as if you were there. I work a full time job but with a lot of flexibility during the day. I would love to drop in and care for your pets while you are away and since I have dogs of my own, I don’t travel on the weekends much 😉 If your pet is staying with me we have a fully fenced in yard, three dogs that they can play with, and two kids who know how lovingly care for animals. If it's not a weekend, I would be able to stop by over the lunch hour to let dogs out and have some play time or might even have afternoons or mornings to work from home. Just depends on the day and I would love to schedule around your stay with us! I am always willing to listen to how you care for your pet(s) and make sure your pet(s) receives the same care and love from me that they would if you were still at home. I want them to feel comfortable, safe, and loved.
About: I've provided pet services and pet/house sitting for a small group of people I've known and been referred to. I've been wanting to expand my clientele, as I have a lot to offer. Although I consider it to be a small side gig, I like to refer to my business affectionately as "No Place Like Home". I have 20 plus years experience, including managing a dog day care for two years. It also includes working with special needs, administering medication orally and through injections. I have references as well as my own personal experience with my cat. I am energetic and can keep up with even the most active dogs. They are my passion. Not only that, pet sitting in your house creates a calmer and safer environment for your pets, as well as keeping your home safe and occupied. I am semi retired. I have a lot of time to spend with your pets in your home ensuring several potty breaks, play and exercise. I will care for your pets as if they are my own. I follow instructions left by the owner and will ensure play and exercise

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and love them to death! I enjoy caring for animals or even just keeping them entertained while their humans are away! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work in healthcare, so I value responsibility, reliability, and keeping a consistent schedule. On my days off and outside of work hours, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet sitting, drop-in visits, and walks.I’m happy to work with pet owners to find times that fit their pet’s routine and needs. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, or just some extra company, I make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for someone’s pet. I always make sure to follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions the owner provides. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, comfort level, and any special needs they may have. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I pay close attention during walks, keep pets securely leashed when needed, and make sure doors and gates are always properly closed. I also believe communication is very important, so I am happy to send updates and photos to keep owners informed and give them peace of mind while they are away.

About: Hello! I’m Taylor. With me, your dogs will be in great hands. I’ve grown up with dogs big and small for my whole life. I have a passion for dogs young and old, with any personality. The biggest part of spending time and caring for dogs is forming an emotional connection. It’s important for me to be able to make a dog feel comfortable and safe with me. I’ve recently raised a puppy, and fell in love with learning the emotional and physical responses in dogs. Through this, i’ve learned to properly care for and accommodate dogs, and hope to do the same for yours! I am willing to go above and beyond for what your dog needs. I am currently working on my bachelors degree in wildlife biology online through Oregon State University! During the school year I am a bit more busy, but I will always make time for dogs! During the summer, I work a part time job and have plenty of free time to hang out with your pets:) Willing to go above and beyond for whatever is needed at your house! Pet care is apart of my routine every single day. I own a dog and two cats. I absolutely love to spoil them whether that be extra long walks, lots of treats, special outings like hikes, or even just giving them extra pets and cuddles :) In my clients home, I respect any boundaries the client sets for both me and their pets. Making sure pets are well fed, have unlimited access to water, as well as unlimited access to love and fun are my top priorities.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sioux Falls
Did a great job! She paid attention to my dog and her needs. She walked my dog on a fairly hot day and I was worried about her overheating but she kept me reassured and it went great. The second time she was walked she had an ouch fun she didn’t want to stop playing/running around when she got home. Will be rebooking.

Kelsey was AMAZING. She was on time for every walk. At the end of each one I got a report card for where they walked, how far, and a picture of my dog. I came home immediately after one of their walks and my dog was so happy! She was smiling and laying on the cold floor because she had a good workout. 10/10 would book again and again!

Stacey is the best! She is so flexible and reliable. She is also extremely kind and our dog loves her! I would recommend Stacey to anyone looking for a reliable fun active and amazing person! We just moved to Brandon this fall and she has made the transition so much easier. She also always sends us a picture after every walk and is a great communicator.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
