About: Growing up I've always had pets of all shapes and sizes. My household was almost like a shelter because we would often take in strays and friends pets they could not longer care for. Neighbors and friends would also ask me to pet sit while they away or check in/walk their animal if they're gone too long. Because of all this I've cared for many cats and dogs of various ages so I understand what kind of care each animal may need. I'm currently going to be doing rover full time so I'll always have availability for your pets. Also I'm almost always around on holidays! At home I have three cats and two dogs (I'm not the only caretaker), and they're all incredibly friendly. Our house is a little small so another location is preferred.

About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.

About: Hello, my name is Kindra! I got my Bachelors Degree from University of Wisconsin with a major in Wildlife Education. I am on Rover on the side because I love pets. I have cared for many dogs and cats in the past, and I currently have two cats. I have had internship and volunteer positions where I performed animal husbandry to a wide variety of animals, including reptiles and amphibians. I love all sorts of animals and want to work with more in my free time because it's what I love, and most importantly to better my skills with them. Thank you for considering me. I am employed full time, and I do 4 10-hour shifts. So, my availability for pet sitting is on my days off. Feel free to message me to see if I'm available or if you have any questions about my availability. *If your location is outside of my radius, I will charge an extra $5 per day of bookings to account for gas.* I am able to do check-ins and walks to let your pets out and play with them if needed (all animals deserve at least a little play time 😉)! I don't think there has ever been a time in my life when I haven't had dogs, which is why I truly believe your pet deserves to be cared for like they are part of the family. I have two dogs of my own, Ziggy and Porky, who love dogs of all sizes and even cats! They are always ready to make a new friend and have some fun. If your pet is older, more independent, or simply isn't interested in playing with other dogs, that's completely okay! Ziggy and Porky are great about giving dogs their space when they need it. I'll make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while still getting the exercise, attention, and activity that's appropriate for them. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs since the age of 10. Family, and friends have trusted me to take care of their dogs for short and long periods of time. I work a part time job while taking college classes at USD. I still find time in my day to play with and care for the animals I’m trusted with. I have a crate for dogs or a comfy bed for them to sleep on. I don’t have a fenced yard but do have a long chain dogs can use on the side of the house.
