She made a perfectly curated care sheet with all of the information about our dogs so they would be happy, comfortable and safe. Our girls had the time of their life playing outside and soaking in all the snuggles during their stay! I swear they didn’t want to come home because they were having so much fun!! About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.

“Cheyenne was awesome! She took great care of our babies and gave wonderful updates and communication was great. We were away for over two weeks and she did a great job keeping the boys happy! We even had to work through an issue with our door and with us being on a cruise we were hard to get a home of. She communicated with my family member in town to get the issue resolved. I don’t want to leave the boys again, but if we do, we for sure will reach out to her again!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog received! They were reliable, kind, and kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved spending time with them. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Emma was absolutely amazing with my two cats while I was away for vacation! She was able to give my cat his inhaler and meds with ease. She was very responsive and sent lots of pictures, and left my apartment in great condition. Definitely recommend her for your furry babies!”

About: I was raised with cats, and some of .y first responsibilities was taking care of the family cat. In high school I volunteered for a short while at the Aberdeen Area Humane Society. I fed, socialized, and sanitized the tools needed for spays and neuters. In college I have a minor in Animal Health Sciences, so I learned a small amount of medicine, anatomy, and physiology. I learned what's normal in cats and what to watch out for, emergency-wise.

“This was an extremely last minute booking, but Kindra was so kinda and professional to stop in and take care of my new kittens when I was unable to get home as originally planned. Extra thankful, plus she took photos to share!”

“What a phenomenal first experience with Rover & Christina! She was kind, welcoming, very understanding and genuine! She has a beautiful fenced in yard and my boy had a blast. She sent pictures and updates. Hopefully she and her daughter will be available the next time we're in town. Excellent job!!”

About: Hi everyone - I was a mom to older English Bulldogs who have recently passed and understand the need for a sitter at times. I used to use a dog sitter myself during the day and understand how hard it can be to get home sometimes! Now that my doggos are no longer with me, I would love to help you out. I work from home so can accept daycare or overnight boarding at my place. I live in a safe neighborhood and have a fenced in backyard for all of the potty breaks and I can also bring them on short walks if requested. I live in a zero-entry, one-level home with no steps which is great for pets with bad joints.
About: Hi! I’m Stephanie, and I absolutely love pups! 🐾 I grew up with dogs and now have a 4-year-old staffy mix named Cricket and another who is 5 months old named Louie. They are both very friendly, loves other dogs, adore people, and usually becomes best friends with every dog who stays with us! We go to parks daily and love when new furry friends join us. I can keep your pup at my home during the day and accommodate any feeding or health needs. We get out at least twice a day, giving plenty of opportunity for exercise and playtime. Your dog will get lots of attention, socialization, and safe, monitored play. We also enjoy hikes and outdoor adventures! I drive a Subaru Forester, so there’s plenty of room to transport multiple dogs if your pup enjoys exploring. My pups are treat-motivated, and I’m happy to share treats with your dog if that’s something they enjoy—just let me know what works best for them. We’d love to meet your pup and make them feel part of our adventures here in Sioux Falls! I have a pup of my own that I take out hiking, running, or long walks daily. She loves other dogs and we would love to have yours tag along on our adventures or stay at home and play! My pup is free to roam around the house when I'm home or away. She also has a crate that she loves and is able to stay in there if that would make your dog more comfortable! My house is a dog friendly one with a unfenced yard that we are ablet to run and play in. I feed my dog twice a day and she is ok being fed around other dogs, but I am able to separate them during feeding time if that is necessary. My dog is also ok sharing toys so if yours enjoys playing with toys my dog would love to share what she has!
About: Hi, I’m Sheila! I’ve been caring for animals since I was a child with experience ranging from dogs and cats to salamanders, turtles, and even a bit with birds. I've always had a critter near and dear throughout my life as a result! I’ve cared for a variety of dog breeds, including Great Pyrenees, German Shepherds, Jack Russell Terriers, Shi-Poos, Pitbulls, Aussies, Labs, and Retrievers—you name it! I’m experienced with puppies, having raised plenty, and I also have a soft spot for senior pets, including those needing medication and special care for conditions like seizures. I’m embracing a new opportunity and using this time to support my community in a meaningful way. Because of this, I have open availability almost every day of the week! I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and cared for when their owners are away. I take the time to understand each animal’s needs, build a connection, and create a space where they feel relaxed and loved—just like I would with my own pets.
About: Hi! I’m Chelsey — an interior designer by day with a lifelong soft spot for animals. If I hadn’t found my calling in design, I truly believe I would have pursued veterinary medicine. Animals have always been part of my world. I grew up around both cats and dogs and have over 15 years of experience pet-sitting for friends, family, and clients. My home is a very calm, grounded space, so I’m best suited for low to moderate-energy pets who enjoy a slower pace, gentle walks, and lots of presence. My puppy Nova plays well with other dogs and I'd love to have friends over for her during the day as I work from home with a close eye! Spending time with animals feels genuinely nourishing to me, and caring for yours would be something I do with a lot of intention and love. Because my home has carpet and an Airbnb guest suite above me, I’m best matched with pets who are past the puppy stage to teach mine good manners lol, are house-trained, and not prone to frequent barking — especially in response to normal household sounds like people walking. Creating a peaceful environment is important to me and helps pets feel relaxed and secure while they’re here. I enjoy walking in all seasons, maintaining consistent routines, and creating a space where animals feel safe, calm, and cared for. While you’re away, you can rest easy knowing your pet will be treated as if they’re my own. Caring for your animal would truly be my pleasure 🤍 — Chelsey Aside from Mondays being 9-hour days at work, I am home the majority of the week which is perfect for walks, attentiveness and allowing potty breaks in my fenced backyard. For boarding and daycare, I provide a calm, consistent routine so pets feel safe and settled. I follow your pet’s normal feeding schedule while offering plenty of companionship, gentle movement, and rest. My home is best suited for low to moderate-energy pets, and I adjust activities based on their needs to keep them comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for. :)
About: Hi! My name is Melissa and I'm so happy to be here! I have 15 years of experience caring for and walking my own dogs, and sitting for friends and family. I know the importance of getting some exercise in for your fur friend, and how challenging it can be to find the time some days! So I am here to help, let me take care of that task for you! I enjoy walking and being outdoors and I'd love to have your pup accompany me! I also own my own home with a fully fenced in backyard, and I work full time from home, so if you need boarding or daycare services, my home would be great for you! I have two pups of my own that absolutely love other dogs, so if you are ok with that, we'd love to care for and keep your pup with us, too! I work from home full time, so it’s easy to attend to my pups (and yours!) during the workday. I can make a lunch hour walk or drop work easily. And afternoons and evenings are pretty open! I have a fully fenced in yard and I am able to let my dogs out as often as they need, and they would be perfect companions for your pups when staying here as well
“Emily and her pups were amazing sitters for our boy Sonoma today! We were nervous about leaving him with someone for the first time but after chatting with Emily and meeting her and her 2 dogs for a few minutes the day before the planned sitting…we were totally confident that he was in good hands. Emily is such a kind hearted person with a genuine love for dogs and it shows in her care for her own. Sonoma immediately warmed up to her and the 3 puppies were able to have a great time together. She was considerate of our routine/habits and sent pictures all day long, which we were so thankful to have! Sonoma didn’t want to leave Emily’s house and even sat in protest on her porch. We would absolutely love/plan to use Emily again and would recommend her to anyone looking for fantastic care in Paradise!”

Of course, I love dogs and cats, but I also enjoy people and take great pride in being dependable, someone you can trust. If you choose to work with me it will be a great experience for your K-9 and for you too! I will be available for boarding on weekends, and available early mornings and evenings, 7 days a week. Under special circumstances I may be able to expand my availability for boarding to weekdays, but only after building rapport for an agreeable period of time. Kindness and patience are the hallmarks of the care I will provide to the pets under my supervision. I am a loving father of three kids. I was a classroom teacher for 20 years. I grew up with pets. My respect and affection for animals is genuine. Most importantly, I do not think that I know better than you concerning the care of your beloved pet. “Olivia had great communication and offered to help with short notice. It was so nice knowing we could leave for a long period of time and Baxter was taken care of! She took him for a walk and made sure he had fresh water after. Love all the pictures! I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Mattie was great. I am waiting for knee surgery and can't walk my dogs so a friend recommended Rover. I chose Mattie and she came over the same day I booked. She walked my dogs and I was able to bicycle along with them and we had a very nice time. I highly recommend her! Thanks Mattie :)”

“Ashley rocks. Not only did she get Stella a lot of miles, she also noticed when Stella was agitated, figured out that her dog door was stuck, and fixed it. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Nyree is absolutely wonderful! She takes such great care of our baby and is always reliable and thoughtful. She makes sure our pup gets a good walk in and sends a helpful update afterward, which we really appreciate. We trust her completely and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable sitter!”

About: Growing up I've always had pets of all shapes and sizes. My household was almost like a shelter because we would often take in strays and friends pets they could not longer care for. Neighbors and friends would also ask me to pet sit while they away or check in/walk their animal if they're gone too long. Because of all this I've cared for many cats and dogs of various ages so I understand what kind of care each animal may need. I'm currently going to be doing rover full time so I'll always have availability for your pets. Also I'm almost always around on holidays! At home I have three cats and two dogs (I'm not the only caretaker), and they're all incredibly friendly. Our house is a little small so another location is preferred.

I have a family dog named Splash who is my whole world, and I have recently moved away and don’t get to see her as often. I work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays, so I can be with your dog all day on those days. Otherwise I work 9-5 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to be with them before work, after work, and during lunch. I am also free most weekends. I would prefer to take care of your pet in your home since I have an apartment but if needed they can stay with me.
About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with extensive experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and needs. For six years, I fostered dogs ranging from tiny puppies to senior and special-needs dogs, giving me a deep understanding of different temperaments and care requirements. I also volunteered with the Humane Society for five years, including three years on the Board of Directors, which strengthened my commitment to animal welfare. At home, I currently have three dogs—a small, medium, and giant breed (English Mastiff!)—so I’m comfortable with everything from gentle companions to big, energetic pups. Your dog will be cared for with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. I’ve structured my schedule specifically to be available for lunchtime drop-ins and walks during the week. This allows me to give dogs a reliable midday break when their owners can’t make it home. I also keep my weekends fully open, so I can provide flexible care, extra visits, or longer walks as needed. Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life, and I’m happy to build my routine around giving pets the attention and consistency they deserve. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow your routine as closely as possible to keep your dog comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they get fresh water, a potty break, and any feeding or medications they need. I take the time to give them attention, playtime, and reassurance so they feel relaxed and safe while you’re away. I’m careful to respect your home, follow all instructions you provide, and keep things clean and tidy. I also send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to provide calm, consistent care that helps your pet feel secure in their familiar environment.

During walks, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, attention, and bathroom breaks while always prioritizing safety with secure leashes and awareness of surroundings. For drop-in visits, I provide fresh water, feeding if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of affection and companionship. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away.

About: I have had multiple dogs, young and old, throughout my life. I’ve had a Shih Tzu, golden lab, fostered multiple pit bulls, and currently have two cats at home. I am comfortable with both high energy and high maintenance dogs, and am able to run with a dog who can’t seem to walk at a normal pace. Currently, I have two cats and a bunny, giving me background on the best care for any other pet needs! I am currently working part-time remotely, making my work schedule very convenient for any sitting needs. I am a full-time student at USD, pursing Finance, where I have classes only on Tuesdays, Thursdays from 9:00-1:45 p.m. Because I live in a town home complex that is unfenced, and have two cats at home, I am unable to sit at my location. But, I have a lot of experience with dog sitting at others homes, from neighbors, to family friends, to my parents clients when needed!
About: I’ve had a high maintenance dog since I was 8 years old. I have had 12 years of taking her for runs, playing with her and keeping her healthy and active! I have also always enjoyed going to local shelters to walk dogs! I am currently working part time in Sioux City. I will have a good bit of availability in afternoons and weekends to care for your lovely pups! I will be respectful of your home and your animals, and will follow any and all instructions given. I have been known by friends, family, and employers, to be trustworthy and hardworking!

“Sheila goes above and beyond to make your fur babies feel at home and loved! She took in our two Australian Shepherds while we were gone for a couple weeks. From the first time meeting I knew she was the perfect fit. She made sure the pups were comfortable, asked so many detailed questions to ensure they were taken care of properly while we were away. She made a perfectly curated care sheet with all of the information about our dogs so they would be happy, comfortable and safe. Our girls had the time of their life playing outside and soaking in all the snuggles during their stay! I swear they didn’t want to come home because they were having so much fun!! Sheila provided us with the most detailed updates while we were away with the absolute cutest pictures! We looked forward to the updates and were able to truly enjoy our vacation without having to wonder if our pups were doing okay. I can’t recommend Shelia more!!!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and we currently have a 3-year-old pup named Hero. We raised and trained Hero from a puppy, so we’re comfortable with everything from basic training to daily routines and lots of playtime. Your dog will be treated like part of our family! They will get plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I work from home, so your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. No long stretches alone and lots of playtime. We have a fenced yard where they can go in and out of our garage to get water all day. We are happy to have crate trained dogs as well. Our dog spends most of his time inside our house and playing outside.

“Marnie, Jeff, and their kids were absolutely amazing!! They sent us pictures everyday of our dogs and took such great care of them! We would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place for their dogs to stay!”
