About: Hi there! My name is Allyson and I’ve been caring for animals as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, where I looked after our family dogs and barn cats, so animals have always been a big part of my life! During college, I worked at a doggy daycare and boarding center, where I gained hands-on experience supervising play groups, feeding, and keeping pups happy and safe. I also worked at a veterinary office, assisting with the kennel area. There I helped with daily care like feeding, walking, cleaning, and administering medications as needed. In addition to this, I’ve often pet sat for family members’ dogs, giving them plenty of love, exercise, and attention while their owners were away. I’m currently working an 8-5, but I will be available most weekends. On the weekdays I will be available after 5 PM to help how you need! I follow your instructions carefully to keep pets safe and comfortable in their own home. I make sure doors and gates are secure, walks are safe, and pets stick to their normal routine. I’ll give them plenty of love, playtime, and attention while also keeping your home tidy.
“Kari was wonderful. Kitty enjoyed seeing and playing with Kari. It was very comforting to see the daily pictures of kitty having a good time, just knowing she was in good hands helped make my vacation easier to enjoy.”

“Great dog watcher! She was very communicative and even helped out with the storm coming. Marley can be challenging so she was very patient with her. Thank you so much Jackie hope to have you back in the future!!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats of many breeds, giving me extensive experience with animals of different temperaments. I truly love all animals and enjoy caring for each one like my own. I also have a flexible schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I am currently a part-time online college student, so my class schedule is completely flexible! I also work part time at the hospital, but am able to create my own schedule. I will easily be able to fit your pet’s needs into my day and can rearrange my routine if necessary! Although I would prefer to care for your pets in your own home, I am willing to board at my house as well. I have a decent sized side yard, and I live in a very walkable neighborhood. I own two cats, both of which are comfortable around dogs.
“Had a great experience with Madison, she did 3x daily drop in visits for our cat and dog while we were out of town. She was a clear communicator, easy to get ahold of, and sent pics every visit showing the pets playing and getting treats. She also collected our mail and put it on the table. Would recommend!”

About: I grew up on a hobby farm with almost any critter you could imagine. We used our space to foster and rehabilitate animals, mostly dogs, cats, and horses. Through working with local humane societies, animal trainers, and breeders I think I have a very good understanding of animal behaviors and how to manage them. Working with animals has been a soul salve in my life and I love guiding animals through all stages of learning. I have slots of time all throughout my week where I am available to walk and check in on pets. Sunday is a free day. Monday and Tuesday I am free after 12, Wednesday-Friday I am free 6am-12, 5pm throughout the evening. Unfortunately at this moment I do not have a space that would allow to to board pets, but I am able to care for pets in their own homes. I am very communicative and I will work with you on your pet's specific needs and requirements, as well as any enrichment activities you would like to try.
“Becca was so great with our seasoned yellow lab, Oso. She kept me updated how he was handling the walks and sent lots of photos. It was hard to leave him at home for the first pheasant opener he would miss, but he was well taken care of by Becca. Thanks again!”
About: I have had a dog in my household ever since I was born. I raised a puppy at age 13 and trained him as well. I love dogs and dogs tend to typically love me as well. I love animals and would love to get to know and take care of your dogs! **able to leash train and work on simple commands with dogs** I currently work part time and I am a full-time college student. I hope to be doing this as a little side job this summer and earn some extra money. I have a fenced-in yard and have taken care of my dogs my whole life growing up. I love to play with dogs as well. I enjoy being outside so I would love to play outside with the dogs or take them on walks.
About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.
“Kelly was the best! She jumped through all our requests and last minute challenges to accomodate our last minute urgent out of town needs. After interviewing 11 Rover sitters she was the only sitter that agreed to all our terms: all last minute and during busy Thanksgiving holiday! SHE ROCKS. Our twin Aussie bothers DARWIN and DAKOTA loved her! After a last minute blizzard she was again able to accomdate our request for changes to time/day Drop In visit. We HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in the greater Sioux Falls area. KELLY WAS AMAZING!”

About: I have been pet sitting since I can remember! I started out by posting flyers in my neighborhood offering pet sitting services! I have had animals of all kinds; cats, dogs, horses, and reptiles! My heart belongs to them all! During the summer I will have plenty of time for your fur babies! It is best for me to know what you are expecting for me! I will do whatever it takes to keep your baby safe and happy! Let me know if ground rules and expectations… I am very flexible!
About: I have had dogs for as long as I can remember and have always played an active part in taking care of them. This includes watching and caring for not only my households dogs but also for neighbors and friends! Over the course of my life I have cared for dogs many types of dogs including those with special needs, escape artist and very energetic dogs. I will be there for whatever your pet may need! I have a pretty flexible schedule and can work your pets needs in pretty seamlessly! I do work most days but am off early in the afternoon to have plenty of puppy play time! I have a partially fenced in yard and tie out leashes for your pups safety. I also have a dog who is an escape artist myself and know how to properly protect against escapes!
About: I've grown up basically my whole life taking care of family dogs and hanging out with neighbors and friends dogs. About 3 years ago I finally got my own dog, Mowgli, and we both love meeting new furry friends! We love going for long walks, playing catch and cooking together. I work full time but have a flex schedule, so when I don't have meetings scheduled at the office I work from home. If I am working at the office I always take the dogs on long walks in the morning and then come home during lunch to go for a quick walk and then another long walk after work. However, when dog sitting I tend to work from home during those days :) I tend to leave the water bowl always full for the dogs whenever they feel thirsty and then have a schedule of feeding them 3 times a day (with a couple treats here and there). I love just chilling with the dogs - especially outside when the weather is nice to get some vitamin D. Again, absolutely LOVE going on walks so there will be plenty of those :)
“She has taken great care of my dogs while I'm at work and they need to go outside. Sends pictures as I requested. I recommend her to anyone that needs someone for drop ins, etc.”

About: I was raised on a farm where I developed my love for animals. I have previous veterinary technician experience. My last dog was a rescued Pitbull X and I worked with him to obtain his CGC certificate. We also did some search & rescue training and scent work. I am able to care for dogs and cats at every stage of their lives. I love every animal like it was my own. I am semi-retired, so I have a flexible schedule. I am available for home visits and in-home pet sitting in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening. I care for pets in the owner's home. I follow the care instructions that the owner has given to me for their precious pet(s). I want to make sure the animal is well taken care of and is happy while the owner is away. I know how important it is for the owner to know that their pet(s) are safe and getting the highest quality care possible.

About: I have been dog sitting and babysitting for as long as I can remember! I come from a small town, so I spent lots of time going to neighbors’ houses and letting them out while they went on vacation. I have watched pets ranging from the ages 4 months to 16 years. I know how to properly give them medication, groom them, play with them, and much more. I currently am working part time as a receptionist currently, but am in search of a SAH position so I will be home a lot. My schedule is very flexible and I would love to care for your furry friends! I live in a neighborhood near an off-leash dog park that my dog loves to spend time at. I like to take my dog to lakes to go swimming as well, if yours enjoys the water! We have a lot of open space in our home for the dogs to run and play, as well as toys!

Thea has been so amazing with my dog Blue. He’s a Cane Corso and can look intimidating, but she found out quick how loving and goofy he is. She’s so accommodating and quick to reply. My dog loves her so much. I would trust her to care for my boy any day!! She’s played fetch, went on walks, fed him dinner, and gave him all the snuggles he could ever want. She’s so amazing!!!

Brittany is an amazing pet sitter. My pets were so well cared for. She not only did what was expected she went above and beyond. I’m a single mom of three kids and came home to a house way cleaner than when I left. It was so amazing to see. She sent pictures and played well with both the cat and dog. Today I can see them looking for her on the camera. She’s amazing!
Renata and her mom did a great job drop ins with our pups, they are leery around people they don’t know AND fireworks but everything worked out great! They gave me a full disclosure on how each visit went and followed our not so normal sleeping arrangements to a T! They were very happy and healthy Pups when we got home from our long weekend thanks to Renata and Rhonda! I will definitely use them again if they will have my Pups

If dogs could leave Yelp reviews, Braden and Grace would have a flawless 5-star rating. These two will drop what they’re doing at a moment’s notice to spoil your furry family member like royalty. Expect happy tails, extra treats, and your dog seriously considering whether it even wants you to come back!

This is our second time booking with Macy, and once again she went above and beyond for our dog. This visit was just a pop-in to break up the day while everyone was gone, and it worked out perfectly. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our pup is in such good hands. We would absolutely book with her again!

Shondey did a fabulous job. She was prompt and followed the scheduled check ins with my lab, Rylie. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for this service. She is very kind and even treated my labs paws when she got nervous about me being gone for an extended period of time. 5 stars and a great value.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
