Dog Sitting Harrisburg

About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.

About: Since growing up, I have always lived in a household with at least one pet. Various different types of dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and I also had a pet crab I cared for when I was younger. As I grew older I continuously learned to give them care and love, and now my brother often asks me to care for his cat, and others rely on me to care for the animals while on vacation. My schedule is mainly flexible to take care of your furry ones. I am a college student, and starting in August. I will still have plenty of time to take care of pets during the college season as well! I make sure it’s a clean, and a comfortable environment for the animal(s). They are always fed, hydrated, given affection, looked after, and the environment they are in is clean and safe!

I love animals and would like to make your life a little easier by talking care of your animal…long or short walk…I’m available! I am a full time nurse but have my evenings free. I am also available weekends. I Love animals and looking to fill my time. I would walk or run with your dog on a leash. If you would like I could take them to a park to run also.

About: I've grown up basically my whole life taking care of family dogs and hanging out with neighbors and friends dogs. About 3 years ago I finally got my own dog, Mowgli, and we both love meeting new furry friends! We love going for long walks, playing catch and cooking together. I work full time but have a flex schedule, so when I don't have meetings scheduled at the office I work from home. If I am working at the office I always take the dogs on long walks in the morning and then come home during lunch to go for a quick walk and then another long walk after work. However, when dog sitting I tend to work from home during those days :) I tend to leave the water bowl always full for the dogs whenever they feel thirsty and then have a schedule of feeding them 3 times a day (with a couple treats here and there). I love just chilling with the dogs - especially outside when the weather is nice to get some vitamin D. Again, absolutely LOVE going on walks so there will be plenty of those :)

I’ll make sure your dog gets attention, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of affection while you’re away. Since I can’t have a dog of my own right now, I genuinely love getting to spend time with others! I work full-time during the week, so I offer drop-ins in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. I’m careful not to overbook myself so every pet gets the time and attention they deserve. My weekends are very flexible, and weekday visits are worked into a consistent routine. I’ll stick closely to your pet’s routine and instructions to keep things calm and consistent. I’ll make sure they have water, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. About: I am a 30 year old RN in Sioux Falls. I grew up on a farm in the country and my entire life we had dogs and other animals in the family. My dog prior to moving was a pitbull/lab mix. I raised him from a puppy until his last days where I was sleeping with him on the garage floor. I definitely learned how to manage a muscular dog thanks to him. I now have a Merle Great Dane, Meeko. He loves playing with other dogs and even tries playing with cats. I have a 3.5 year old son and 1.5 year old daughter. I work three, 12 hour shifts a week, differing days of week, and every third weekend. I switch between days and nights with a majority on days so I am pretty flexible! I only take bookings for daycare or boarding when I'm off work unless your dog is used to being kenneled for 10-12 hours. If just needing drop in visits, I am able to do those before/after work. I have a fenced backyard and my dog loves playing with any sized dog. I have babysat for dogs from weiner dog to other great dane sized. A lot of outside time is offered to burn off energy. That also gives them a break from my wild toddler and baby.
