Empty nester with time/love to give
I absolutely LOVE animals and can't wait to meet yours! I have had pets since I was a child. As an adult, I have owned both cats and dogs. I have also owned birds and rodents such as hamsters, rats and guinea pigs. I have had both large (shepherd size) dogs and small terrier type dogs. I have taken care of all ages of dogs including puppies and seniors. We have owned dogs with medical conditions that required medication administration. I have done some training with my own dogs for basic commands with success, but am not a professional pet trainer.

Schedule
All my children are young adults and out of the house. I spend my time walking/jogging, cooking and quilting. have plenty of extra time to add in some love and/or exercise for your furry friend! I have plenty of flexibility as far as availability and time.

Safety, trust & environment
We have recently moved into a downtown apartment. We do not currently own any pets as we recently lost our beloved Kirby dog. We cannot accommodate pets in our home right now, but I would be happy to come to you. I have really missed having a pet to love on - I find myself wanting to pet random dogs on the street because I miss interacting with pets! I will treat your pet just like I would my own, with care, love and compassion. Every pet is different with their own personality and anxieties and I would love to get to know your pet and what he/she needs and wants while you are away.
A typical day
I would like to learn from the pet owner what their pet likes to do. I am happy to sit on the couch and give pets and love, I am happy to throw a ball or toy in the yard, I am happy to run around and be rowdy. I do lots of walking and would be happy to go for a walk. Each pet is different, so I will ask the owner what the pet needs/wants and tailor each visit to what is wanted/needed.
