Salina was amazing! She watched my highly dramatic Frenchie, Sassy Cat and my little old lady Cat for nine days. I could not be more thankful for the care that she gave them. She was excellent at communicating. She made me feel comfortable, knowing that while I was away, everyone was being taken care of. When we got home, I had three happy animals and my house was immaculate.

About: Hi! I’m Linh - your pet’s favorite aunt. I know how stressful it can feel leaving your pets behind, so my goal is simple: keep their routine consistent, keep them happy, and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats and have always loved caring for animals. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive caring for your pets. I also volunteered at an animal shelter when I was younger, which helped me become comfortable with animals of all ages, personalities, and temperaments. You can expect plenty of updates, photos, and communication throughout your booking because I know you’re trusting me with family, not just a pet. I offer flexible weekday and weekend availability for dog walks and drop-in visits and currently service the MetroWest area, including Framingham, Wayland, Natick, and nearby towns. I am currently accepting bookings through September 2026. Availability for October and beyond will be released at a later date. Pet parents looking for weekly walks are always welcome as consistent schedules really help pets feel comfortable and at ease. For housesitting, availability may be more limited depending on the pet’s schedule and care needs. I’m best suited for pets that can be left alone for a few hours at a time. If a date appears unavailable on my calendar, feel free to reach out anyway, as I may still be able to accommodate depending on the time and location. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain consistent routines, and adjust activities based on weather, age, health, and energy level. During hot weather, walks may be shortened when needed to prevent overheating, with the remaining time spent on indoor play.

I had an amazing experience with my dog and pig sitter, Eliza, who stayed at my home for over a week. She took exceptional care of both my dog and pig, and I came home to animals that were clearly happy, relaxed, and well-loved. Eliza made sure both animals received their medicine (rolling with the punches because Buddy got an infection right before we left so it was an added responsibility she took on in stride) Eliza was incredibly thoughtful and sent regular photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the pictures and her communication that my pets were getting real attention, not just basic care. She was also very communicative and responsive whenever I had questions, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. My dog Buddy clearly bonded with her during the stay, he actually seemed a little sad when Eliza left, buddy went to the room she stayed in when we got home from our trip 😂 before sleeping where he usually. Highly recommend I would trust Eliza again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter.

Julie-Ann was so great with our dogs, so communicative with us, and so thoughtful that it's hard to express our gratitude. Both dogs are rescues and they obviously fell in love with Julie-Ann. We came home to two relaxed and happy pups. The house was well cared for and we are very very happy customers.

Samantha did a great job taking care of our cat, Sasha! She was on time for the meet and greet and cat sitting start date. She sent lots of photos of Sasha and updates on her eating and litter habits. Sasha sometimes gets lonely when we leave on vacation and has not eaten in the past but ate and played fine and seemed very comfortable with Samantha. Would definitely recommend Samantha for cat/dog sitting!

About: My childhood cat Daisy, is as important to me as a family member. She is the perfect cat and I would not be the person I am today without her and that has left me with a deep love for cats, and by extension all pets. She is a whopping 15 years old as of now, was born in 2011 and adopted 2012, and is still VERY healthy and happy to this day. Before her, there was Max the Maine Coon who lived to 15. From birth I have had cats in the house, and adored them. I have taken part in their care more seriously beginning at age 8-10 when we adopted Daisy and took care of her in my room as she adjusted as a young kitten. 7 years later we found a fluffy orange kitten on a local walk. After nobody claimed him, we took him in. He grew up to be a hefty, incredibly fluffy ball of personality. He is now 8 and as energetic and healthy as ever. Needless to say, I love cats and am very familiar with their behavior and care. All the cats me and my family have owned have lived and continue to live exceptionally long, fruitful, and healthy lives. Additionally, When I was a preteen I loved participating in all sorts of summer actiities, but by fam my favorite was a semi-local summer camp at Animal Adventures, a rescue for all types of animals that hosted opportunities for young people to clean, feed, pet, and otherwie enjoy the company of exotic and native animals such as the capybara, a boa python, and even alligators. It was a foundational experience to fuel my love for animals and their care well into adulthood, a fascination that has never left me. My own personal routine for my pet care is simple and effective. I am very flexible when it comes to my availability and am more than open to many following all kinds of particular schedules for your pet’s needs. My daily care for my own pets is as follows: my father and I split the care of the cats when we are both home, but there has been many a time where I am alone for extended periods and in charge of their total care for a week or more. Their litter is scooped at least twice a day, once at noon. They are fed three to four times a day, in the morning, early afternoon, early evening, and night. They split a can of wet food between them for each meal. If we are gone for more the majority of the day, dry food is left out. Daisy has a topical medication applied on the inside of her ear, once at breakfast while she eats and once at night. Left ear in the morning, right at night. Gently holding her scruff while she eats and standing behind her while I apply the medicine makes the process quick and stress free for both of us! For house sitting, I can be flexible and attentive! Depending on the needs, I can (and likely will) spend nearly all the time with your pet. If your pet is shy, I will try to stay within a comfortable distance while keeping track of their well-being, and energetic and social pets will get plenty of love and attention. I care very much about their routines and health and will follow any instructions given, as I am used to an important schedule regarding my own cats’ health.

About: I’ve owned a pit/lab for a while as it was my dog in the house with my family giving me the responsibility from young to care for the dog the way it needed to be. I would say there isn’t much to worry when I am watching the pets and a thorough job will be done whatever that job is. I am currently a transferring student athlete, from Boston but coming from Michigan (school) I’m now looking for a job but am totally free right now and unemployed. I will have anytime throughout the week available to be with the pal and help out and love being active with dogs as much as possible. I’d say I’m a very observant person when it comes to watching mine or someone’s else’s belonging, so would continuously have an eye on the dog or cat and would make sure the environment is the way I found it if not better.

About: I have always loved dogs and even have a dog of my own. I am extremely patient and consider myself to be kind. I work as a kindergarten teacher so I am used to taking care of things and tending to their needs. As a kindergarten teacher, I have lots of free time on weekends and school breaks, and I figured the best use of my time would be to do something I already enjoy doing and also help other people out as well. Since I already own a dog of my own I am very conscientious of what dogs can or cannot do, eat, or be near. I try to play with them as much as possible and be friendly with them so they feel comfortable around new people.

Carolyn really took the time to asses the needs of our family. We had a last minute change in plans and had to travel the next day, then our dog had some extra medical needs which is not something most people want to deal with, but Carolyn came through and was able to spend overnight with our dog at home. We appreciate the positive attitude and can-do way of acting. Thanks again , would recommend to everyone.

FAQs for House Sitting - Sherborn

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Sherborn on Rover is $157.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 6,960 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sherborn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sherborn walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sherborn maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sherborn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sherborn. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
