About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16 years old. I adopted my most recent rescue about five years ago. I take her on multiple long walks every day! I also have experience with senior dogs and disabled dogs. I currently work part time and make my own schedule, so I can work around your needs. I am available for multiple check-ins a day, and will walk whatever route needed. I have a fully fenced backyard and live right next to a park with walking trails. I have a dog who loves playing with other dogs, but can be separated if needed.

About: I’ve been pet/housesitting for the majority of my life! Growing up I was relied on heavily by many. I was consistently approached by family, friends, and neighbors. There were quite a few people that had me as their go-to whenever they needed the help and I made a strong connection with. I always get excited when people ask me to petsit for them! On top of that, I’ve done a lot of volunteer work at animal shelters, including dog walking, cleaning, and playing. I’m currently a SPED Educational Assistant, 8am-3:30pm every weekday at a school in Portland. Anytime around that I am free and willing, but I understand if that is too large a gap in the days as far as house sitting goes. Otherwise, my weekends are entirely free, as well as my summer break! I will accommodate to whatever needs must be met for your pet! I want to make sure your fur baby is completely safe, comfortable and happy with me. Every animal is different and I love to make space for them and learn about what they like, dislike, need, as well as their quirks and personalities. Connection and trust is very important to me.

About: Ever since the age of 5, my family has always had pets around us. From rabbits to cats, to dogs, and even Beta or Goldfish. After I moved to the Pacific Northwest at 21, I adopted a stray cat. Unfortunately a year into taking care of him, he passed away due to uncurable health issues. After I mourned and missed him, I went on to adopt and raise a 2 month old female gray kitten, who is now 11 years old. I also have a Blue Heeler/Cocker spaniel mix who I adopted from the pound 6 years ago. He was middle aged when I adopted him so I really got to learn how to manage an older dog by taking care of specific needs and having regular vet check ups. Two years ago, I adopted two teenage gray sister cats, who are now almost 3. My fur babies are a tight nit family who gets along with one another, and I am proud to watch them grow and flourish in the lifestyle I have made for them. As for experience, aside from taking care of the family pets growing up and being a long time pet owner, I worked at Red Rover dog sitting company back in 2017 for about a year, going to peoples' homes for either a 20 minute dog walk, hour long dog park adventure, or overnights for dogs if owner was going to be out of town and needing something more long term. Due to how busy I was at the time, working a full time set scheduled job, I was unable to make spare time. In the last few months, I have no other obligations with needing to work full time, and am ready to take care of other peoples' animals. I have always taken joy in helping others out with their pets because I know how hard it can be when people have to go to work, be gone all day, go camping a few days, or traveling several days. I know about that lifestyle all too well and always love when people I trust watch my pets. If you want a reliable pet sitter who your pets will become familiar with fast, I may be a good fit for you. I am currently self employed with various other lines of work and being a full time or part time pet sitter is what I am aiming for. At this time, my availability is very flexible and I will most of the time be able to accommodate people. I am a reliable person who can do house sitting, dog walking, or drop in visits, giving plenty of attention and care. Drop in visits would consist of providing potty breaks, feeding, changing water and 30 minutes of attention each visit. My maximum for Drop ins is 3X a day. IMPORTANT NOTICE: As for Pet Sitting overnight at someone's house, I can stay the night and be there the majority of the time, but because I have a dog, I would need to run back to my house 3X a day to relieve him of potty breaks and give him attention (1-2 hours maximum for each drop in I do for him.) Your pet would be the sole focus, though. With that said, if my dog is able to come with me overnight to house sit at your place if your dog gets along with other dogs, I will provide a 20% discount off my House sitting rates.

We used to live in Oregon and Roree was Aspens favorite person, so on our little trip back to the area we knew just who to call to watch Aspen for the weekend! Mareka was a great sitter for our three dogs while we were gone for the week! She was great at providing updates with photos and giving the dogs lots of cuddles while we were away. She also went above and beyond with helping us take our trash out on garbage day, and left the house nice and clean to come back to. Definitely would recommend booking with Mareka, and will again if we ever need another dog sitter!!

Sami watched our two dogs, one with cancer requiring extra care and attention to a weeping wound and the other with an initial fear of most people. They both took to Sami immediately with no fear. She also watched our cat. We got daily updates. Our dog with cancer is on steroids causing ravenous hunger and will eat everything. Sami was so careful to keep items away from her and keeping doors closed. We came home to a clean house and she even did laundry and remade the bed. 100% recommended. She is our #1!
