“Anthea did an amazing job watching our pets while we were away for the weekend. She is extremely thorough in her care, both for the dogs and our house. She followed our normal routine to perfection and our pups were very happy with the care they received (which we could tell by the updates/pics she sent throughout the weekend). We are grateful to have found Anthea through Rover and we’d absolutely hire her again (and recommend her to friends).”

“Janexis and Zach were wonderful with helping take care of my reactive and anxious pit mix, Minnie. They sent just the right amount of updates, and she looked so happy and at home with each picture! They kept me at ease the entire time. They were also flexible when I needed to extend their care, and left my place cleaner than I left for them! I will definitely use them to care for my pup in the future.”

“Jayne was incredible! She was so good with our boy and our home. She kept me updated the entire time and kept me completely at ease. She went above and beyond in every aspect, I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone!”

“Lyla did an incredible job! She gave me updates and was flexible with my crazy schedule. Overall she brought a lot of peace while I was out of town. Just knowing that my dog was so well taken care of. Thank you Lyla!”

“Amy is the kind of sitter you hope to find: she's communicative, caring, flexible, and reliable. She stayed at our house, caring for our three pets for several days. We got great updates, and returned to a spotless house. We highly recommend Amy!”

“Danielle is a delight! We feel so lucky to have found her! Our two retired racing greyhounds, Luna & Cosmo, adore her as much as we do. We were hesitant to leave for a mini-vacation without having used Rover before. Danielle put us at complete ease immediately. We didn't have single worry while we were away. She feels like an extension to the family. We feel absolutely comfortable having her stay in our home with our two pups repeatedly! Thank you Rover for getting us in contact with Danielle; and thank you Danielle for being a perfect friend to Luna & Cosmo!”

About: I’ve been pet/housesitting for the majority of my life! Growing up I was relied on heavily by many. I was consistently approached by family, friends, and neighbors. There were quite a few people that had me as their go-to whenever they needed the help and I made a strong connection with. I always get excited when people ask me to petsit for them! On top of that, I’ve done a lot of volunteer work at animal shelters, including dog walking, cleaning, and playing. I’m currently a SPED Educational Assistant, 8am-3:30pm every weekday at a school in Portland. Anytime around that I am free and willing, but I understand if that is too large a gap in the days as far as house sitting goes. Otherwise, my weekends are entirely free, as well as my summer break! I will accommodate to whatever needs must be met for your pet! I want to make sure your fur baby is completely safe, comfortable and happy with me. Every animal is different and I love to make space for them and learn about what they like, dislike, need, as well as their quirks and personalities. Connection and trust is very important to me.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16 years old. I adopted my most recent rescue about five years ago. I take her on multiple long walks every day! I also have experience with senior dogs and disabled dogs. I currently work part time and make my own schedule, so I can work around your needs. I am available for multiple check-ins a day, and will walk whatever route needed. I have a fully fenced backyard and live right next to a park with walking trails. I have a dog who loves playing with other dogs, but can be separated if needed.

“Pat recently watched our dog Clio for use while we went out of town for two weeks to get married and go on a honeymoon. Pat is the only sitter we've used where we can leave town for a longer period of time and Clio is totally unstressed when we return. We will absolutely be using Pat for all future stays whenever she's available, and you definitely should too!”
“This is our second time having Shelley watch our Geeat Dane Loki. She stayed at our house and took such good care of him. She made sure he was happy and had everything he needed and kept him company. She also watered our gardens for us while we were gone which was very much appreciated! We highly recommend Shelley and will definitely have her watch him again. Thanks Shelley!!”

“Annie took good care of Dottie and bonded with her. I felt comfortable to have Dottie in Annie's care. She really does love her job! She sent pictures and kept me updated.”

“Tiffany is fantastic! She treated my dogs like her own. She is not only trustworthy and kind, but she made sure my fur babies were stimulated, entertained, and given lots of love! She is communicative and always sending updates. I will continue to use her and I recommend her 100%.”

“Two words. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. "I had such a wonderful experience with Steele! One of the highlights was receiving daily photo updates—it was the best part of my day and really put my mind at ease. It was so clear from the pictures that my dogs were happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. I returned home to very relaxed Finnegan and Lucy. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Steele again!"”

“Peyton was so nice and he has good energy. He started giving Jupiter attention the moment he arrived and even distracted him while we finished packing and loaded the car. He sent lots of pictures and updates and was always very quick to respond. We’d love to have Peyton stay with Jupiter again!”

Lyla was great with our big fur baby and home for a week, while we were on a family vacation. She was very quick to respond any time we checked in, while also proactively sending updates and pictures. Lyla left our home very clean and undisturbed. I highly recommend Lyla to others!

Sierra was perfect for my high-energy puppy. She completely understood how demanding a young dog can be, making sure he got plenty of exercise and playtime. The photo updates she sent were fantastic and so fun to receive. I came home to a spotless house and a very tired, happy dog. Highly, highly recommend her to anyone!

Annie was incredibly communicative while we were away on our trip which brought us tons of trust that our pets were in wonderful hands. Our pets are fairly rambunctious and she took care and patience with their high energy personalities. She also house sit for us and the home was just as we left it which was a relief to come home too after traveling. I’d highly recommend her services.

Alex in now my go-to sitter for my Aussie. I really appreciate his clear and reliable communication, and I come home to a dog who is happy and well cared for and a tidy house. It's a relief to have someone I trust to take good care of my little dude when I go away.

Mareka was a great sitter for our three dogs while we were gone for the week! She was great at providing updates with photos and giving the dogs lots of cuddles while we were away. She also went above and beyond with helping us take our trash out on garbage day, and left the house nice and clean to come back to. Definitely would recommend booking with Mareka, and will again if we ever need another dog sitter!!

Janexis and Zach were wonderful with helping take care of my reactive and anxious pit mix, Minnie. They sent just the right amount of updates, and she looked so happy and at home with each picture! They kept me at ease the entire time. They were also flexible when I needed to extend their care, and left my place cleaner than I left for them! I will definitely use them to care for my pup in the future.

We are so grateful we found Jenny! When we’re on vacation, it feels like our dog is too. Jenny takes her on car rides and adventures, and makes sure she gets all of the treats and love she deserves. This past visit she even went above and beyond to rush Winter to urgent care when a health issue arose. Jenny takes impeccable care of our house, gives frequent photo/ video updates, and is honestly just a delight to chat with. Winter is always excited to see her and I would definitely recommend her to any of our friends!

Rosalyn did a couple overnight stays and daily sitting of our pets. She took great care of them, and the pets all liked her (even our scaredy boy cat felt comfortable enough to come out with her at the house). She was easy to communicate with and sent pics of each pet daily for us. We hope to utilize Rosalyn for pet sitting again!
