About: I have always loved dogs. I grew up with a black lab (age 5-18), and when I was in high school I frequently watched dogs and cats in a pet sitting capacity. Pet sitting for neighbors and friends was my first job, and as soon as I got my drivers license, I expanded my pet sitting clientele. As an adult, my husband and I had a rescue dog (Pitt/lab mix) who was our fur baby. When we adopted her, she had separation anxiety and resource guarding issues. We worked with a trainer to help her overcome those issues, and were grateful for the wonderful years we enjoyed with her. Unfortunately, she died in early 2025. While we are not in a position to have our own dog right now, we would love to continue to snuggle and support local dogs through pet sitting. We do have a toddler at home. She loves dogs and we would never leave her unattended with any animal. While we will be careful to ensure any dogs in our care are set up for success by being separated from our toddler with baby gates, etc., we are only able to host dogs who are comfortable around small children. I am a middle school teacher, so I have full-time availability during school breaks and the summer. I am also available to drop in before and/or after my work, depending on the location. My husband, Cristopher, works from home and loves having a dog as his co-worker to be let out on demand. As dog owners, we never left our own dog home alone for more than 4-5 hours, and we will only accept a boarding booking if our schedule allows the same time commitment to your dog. We treat all dogs like they are our own. As a former pet parent, I know that I can never replace you, but I will do everything I can to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe in my care. We have a fenced yard with no animals in our home (except for the occasional wild bunny). Our yard has plenty of space for dogs to run around and play.

They kept me at ease the entire time. They were also flexible when I needed to extend their care, and left my place cleaner than I left for them! I have experience in agility training and have helped my Uncle train Malinois, some who are K9 certified. I have dog and cat sat(including overnight) for neighbors, family, and friends. I have experience training basic tricks to puppies and taking care of them. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I’ve also taken care of bigger animals such as horses! I have free time to hangout and take care of your pet! I am able to stay overnight, check in, and am available every day of the week! Our two dogs were super happy and clearly very comfortable and well taken care of when we got home. He followed all instructions and even our smaller dog who can be shy and afraid of new people became his shadow and played with him the whole time we were gone. About: I have cared for all sorts animals my whole life, from as small as a gerbil to as large as a llama. I have previous experience working in a boarding kennel and veterinary office. I have experience working with special needs animals and administrating medications. I work full time, 6-8 hour shifts 5-6 days a week. I am almost always done with work between 1 and 2 pm at the latest. I don't have consistent days off but can be flexible with availability. For pets who need extra care throughout the day (potty breaks every 4 hours, 3+ meals, etc.), I can typically work accommodations into my schedule. I am well-versed in behavioral signs of animals and will make them feel safe and trusted while I am in their homes. My main goal is always to support your pets in whatever way they need.

“Caitlin stayed for an extended weekend with our 4 month old kitten and was absolutely amazing! I was nervous about leaving our boy for the first time and Caitlin made the whole process so comfortable and reassuring-she met him before we left, and provided a ton of detail about what to expect. It’s very clear that Caitlin is passionate about animals and is incredibly knowledgeable, she went out of her way to provide really helpful new food and litter recommendations and was willing to test things out for us under her care.
