“Such a great loving family. They took the absolute best care of our puppy Bodhi. We got lots of pictures and videos every day, they definitely treated him like their own pet. Bodhi didn’t want to leave, he had so much fun playing with their pup. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again!”

“Great people who take very good care of our golden doodle . They have huge backyard and good communication with the owners. Will be booking again. Our dog was happy”

“Hannah was great with our dog, Brooklyn! She sent lots of updates and progress reports. Our dog has severe anxiety, and he had a great time there. We can’t wait to hire her again!”

“Larissa was the perfect person to take care of my dog. She sent me updates and photos throughout the entire time. I felt assured that my dog Mac was in good hands and at no point was worried. I’d happily leave my pup with Larissa again!”

“This is the second time we’ve left our pup with Haleigh and it was as wondeful as expected. He loves being at her home and is reluctant to come home. It warms my heart that he is as comfortable with her as he is at home. She’s the best and can’t recommend her highly enough and will use her in the future.”

“Annie is our almost 14 year old Jack Russel...she can be a hand full. It was nice to see photos of Annie laying on a quilt on Kristen's lap. We are very happy that Annie did well under Kristen's care. She is going blind and gets scared easy. Staying with Kristen was soIt is so much better than boarding her.. The last 2 times we had house sitters...we were worried...but everything worked out great...Thank you Kristen..”

“Great communication and easy drop off. Our dog Ama had clearly bonded with them when we came to pick her up. They also sent daily pics which is always nice. Thank you K+J!”

“Christine was awesome in caring for our two elderly dogs at her home!! From the moment we connected by phone, I sensed her warm, caring spirit toward animals. She sent regular updates and photos while we were away. I offer Christine the highest level of recommendation and we definitely plan on utilizing her again in the future.”
“I almost want to gatekeep Kathryn, she’s so good. Dog sat my puppy for 10 days and don’t think he wanted to come home. No but in all seriousness, Kathryn is the epitome of professional and a talented dog person. Appreciate her so much.”

“Shadie sent messages and photos during Zoa's stay, and we appreciated the updates. Our dog came home happy, and exhausted from playing. We'll definitely use Shadie again.”

About: I have cared for a variety of breeds, energy levels, and personalities. I've helped train puppies, given medications, and helped anxious dogs remain calm while with us. As a family, we adapt to each pet and pet parent's requests including timing/ frequency of meals, giving medications and only food provided as needed, activities/ walks the dog prefers, crating (or not), and other things that helps them feel comfortable. I work part time and volunteer while my kids are in school. We are home most evenings and days, we have some activities but we're back early in the evening. I have a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood that doesn't have any traffic noise (there is some daytime construction but it hasn't concerned any of our guests yet). I have a spot for their bed that is central to most of our activities so they can observe and relax. Most like the big front window to watch the street from. The girls do a lot of ball throwing, tug of war, and treat hide and seek. They also like to make treats (when pet parents allow) and reward them for responding to commands. I don't allow them to feed dogs anything on their own.
“Abra took such wonderful care of our pups. She sent lots of pictures, took them on walks and gave them lots of snuggles. I would highly recommend her. She was flexible and able to take our dogs with little notice.”

“David was excellent! Lumi had a great time playing with the other pups and I think benefited from David working from home, which is what she is used to. Thank you so much, will be booking again!”

“Tosha was great, she was a great communicator and let us know how Nellie was doing with photos and a video during her stay. I especially loved seeing Nellie playing with her own little dogs, and having a great time. Tosha was prepared and organized, I was impressed at the notes she took and questions she asked me about Nellie to make sure she would be comfortable and well taken care of. She did a great job and I highly recommend her.”

“Natalie has supported us for years now. Oliver always has a pleasant time while we can spend time away from home when taking the pup is not always feasible. She is kind patient an sends pictures with updates. We trust she will do what is right, if needed.”

“Fin is an exceptional caretaker! She is patient, kind and truly understands dog behavior. She went out of her way to help train our pup with separation anxiety. She is the best!”

“Amber and her family took excellent care of our dog Dobby! He was obviously very comfortable and received a lot of love and attention while there. The photo and video updates gave us a lot of confidence to relax, knowing he was in great hands and having his own vacation!”

Francis, Stacy and Maverick took great care of our pup. They sent pics everyday with updates which was greatly appreciated. We can tell our dog was given lots of love and care as he came home a happy boy. We highly recommend Francis and Stacy and hope to use them again.

Danielle and her partner are super sweet, friendly, responsible and thorough when it came to my dog’s care. It was her first time away from me and they made me feel very comfortable and confident that she was well taken care of! I appreciate that they let her on the furniture because she’s a snuggle bug :) Will definitely book with them again in the future!

Jared was super kind and helpful! It was my first time leaving my doggie anywhere overnight and I was anxious, but Jared kept me updated with texts and photos during the stay. He adapted to what my dog needed at the time and made sure she was comfortable. I'm super grateful for this wonderful first experience and will definitely be booking with Jared again.

Elaine was amazing with my puppies! Her home and yard were clean and she was very communicative before and during the visit. She kept me updated with videos during the day which I really appreciated. My dogs had so much fun and were worn out by the time I picked them up. I will definitely be using her again. Thank you, Elaine!

Colleen was amazing! I needed some help with my dog who recently had surgery and she took such good care of him for a couple days in her clean and calm home. She followed my care instructions including giving medications, gave him so much love, and sent regular updates with pictures that really put my heart at ease. I am so grateful for her kindness and care with my pup. She is a true animal lover and I will be booking again next time I need a sitter!

We are so grateful for the wonderful care our Larry received! He was happy, active, well-fed, and healthy when we picked him up. We also loved getting daily updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind. Knowing that he was with such caring and trustworthy people allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our boy!
Steve loved his stay with Erica and Elohim! They’re very friendly and communicative. I was hoping for a sitter without other dogs because my guy can be a little reactive as he gets older. I appreciated the updates and photos each day. We’ll definitely look to book again when I’m out of town nexxt and highly recommend!

Moira was an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She took great care of our old dog and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, caring, and clearly treated them like her own. We really appreciated the updates and knowing they were in such good hands. We would highly recommend Moira to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!

Finn had a great time with Jeannie and her two Corgi's, who are the sweetest pups! He had walks every day and great playtime with his new buds. Jeannie's home is well kept and Finn was welcomed with open arms. He was allowed to make himself right at home. I would highly recommend Jeannie for taking care of your fur babies!

Daisy's pet pad is a lovely setting for little dogggos. She's easy to work with and had a clean calm home. My little pet has a little separation anxiety, but it worked out fine as I was traveling and moving and that's hard on both of us! Her stay was uneventful, which is what all pet parents hope for! Thank you again, Daisy.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Walnut Grove home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Walnut Grove.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Walnut Grove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
