About: ‼️NOT AVAILABLE JULY18th only early morning pick up for that day || Hello, fellow pup parents! Staying home and caring for dogs full time is my absolute dream come true. There is nothing I love more than welcoming dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities into our home and giving them the dedicated love, attention, and comfort they deserve while you are away. When you and your pup visit us, you'll also get a little taste of our family's favorite holiday, we absolutely love Halloween! We keep fun decorations up around the house year-round, giving our home a warm, cozy, and slightly whimsical feel that we hope you and your pup will love. I have a sweet 4-year-old daughter who has grown up around animals. She is incredibly well trained in "dog etiquette" she understands when a pup needs their own space, respects their boundaries, and knows that it’s completely okay if a dog just wants to relax without being petted. I am a very experienced dog owner and currently have a sweet Husky named Archie (he’s the 4th Husky I’ve loved!). He is your typical, goofy, dramatic boy who loves making friends of all sizes. However, he is also wonderful at reading the room if a guest dog is nervous, Archie is happy to give them total space and just stick to his chew toys. We live in a home with a spacious, fully fenced yard. It is the perfect setup with tons of room for high-energy zoomies, but plenty of quiet, shaded space for pure relaxation. I have a car so I can definitely move around without no problem. I have enough space for a big doggie. Please note I will need 1-2 days in advance to know if any cancellations will be made or need adjustments Because I am home full-time, your pup is always supervised and loved. Our home features a large, fully fenced yard for safe playtime and plenty of indoor space for relaxation. I customize care based on your dog's needs, whether that means letting them socialize with my friendly husky, giving them their own dedicated quiet space
“Amazing pet sitter! Very attentive to details and communicating! She made sure that Bravo was well fed and taken care of! Would highly recommend to anyone needing their pets taken care of”

About: I've grown up constantly around dogs and taking care of them. My family and I would often get dogs from shelters, so behavioral issues are no problem for me! I'm used to the crazy-fun nature of these furry creatures. I have trained all my dogs, and when I was 14 got my own chihuahua that I raised from a puppy. I enjoy spending time with dogs and animals and would love to help out with your furry friends. I'm currently in school part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets. I have two cats of my own that I take care of everyday by playing with them, giving them fresh water and food, brushing them, and of course lots of cuddles. Coming into your home I will be very cleanly. I'll give your pets and home my upmost respect. With me your animals will be in amazing care.
“Lexi was great! She helped us take very good care of Imo while we were traveling during the holidays. She was on time and great with our instructions and communications. Our cat Imo really liked her and enjoyed playing with her. She also took many cute photos of Imo :) Really appreciate your help last minute. Thank you!”

“Felicia did an amazing job with our cats! She made sure they were active and engaged everyday, and found their new favorite catTV channel. She even took extra care and consideration with our home and cleaned their cat spaces, going above and beyond to help out while we were gone. I'd highly recommend booking her for your pets and we'll be rebooking her soon! Thank you”

“Claire took great care of our two cats while we were away! She provided really detailed report cards with photos each day. It was a relief knowing that our babies were well taken care of. We'll definitely see if Claire's available next time we head out of town!”
About: I've been around pets my entire life! I've had puppies and kittens all the way to senior dogs and cats ( our dog prefers the term golden girl vs senior.) I'm the kind of person that says hello to a dog on a walk before the human. Essentially animals bring me joy whenever I see them. Our current children include our 15 year dog named Demeter and a 10 year old cat named Zephyr. Do they run the show and our lives? Absolutely!! I'm looking forward to meeting your pets soon! I recently left my 13 year career in sales to go back to school and flip my career. That being said I have ample amounts of spare time (when I'm not in class) to meet your pets and treat them like my own. I can take any type of special requests and make sure your fur baby is happy and taken care of. Special needs? Done. Special diet? Done. Extra walks and cuddles? Done.
About: I've had a lot of experiences taking care of dogs and cats the maximum number I've taken care of is 3 dogs and 2 cats at one time! I enjoy going for walks and hikes and sometimes runs. I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. Im used to walking my chocolate lab and German Shepard, pitbull mix together. My German Shepard mix has a lot of anxiety and we have been working with a dog trainer and a behavioralist to work with his reactivity as well as his anxiety. I’m very comfortable with dogs with reactivity and anxiety as well as dogs that are big jumpers. I’ve dog sat for dogs such as chihuahuas, labs, border collies, beagles, pugs, springer spaniels, German Shepard’s and mutts. I have a lot of patience for dogs that are shy and take some time to warm up. I have experience using prong collars, gentle leads, and harnesses. I also have worked with many puppies in training and would be happy to implement any training methods you are using. I also love cats and have a lot of experience with shy and timid cats as well. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I’m currently working from home with a very flexible schedule and have plenty of times available for walks and drop in visits. I have 3 pets of my own though and can’t stay overnight or do boarding at my house. If your dog enjoys playing with other dogs I’m happy to bring my lab over she is great with other dogs. I am happy to accommodate any routine your pet may have to make them more comfortable on walks and drop in visits. I’m very used to shy dogs and cats that may need a little more space as well as super energetic ones.
About: Hello! I am 27 years old, and I used to own and adore 2 rat terriers and 4 cats, and took care of 3 others who all lived in the same house! While I no longer get to see them since I moved, I still love and adore animals. I've had the pleasure of petsitting for friends, 2 larger dogs, and 2 cats l. All of whom are adorable... Due to seasonal work, I'm not currently as available as I'd like to be, and will be working a sporadic schedule for the next few months. But other than that, I do my best to be available for whatever the pet needs, whether it be feeding, cleaning litter, taking them on walks, or sitting overnight. Keeping your home just as clean as you left it, and your pet happier! I'm generally a tidy, quiet person so no worries about disturbing the neighbors, and if your dog has special treats or toys I'd love to hear about them!
“Jocelyn was amazing with our boy! Seriously went above and beyond for us! Great communication, such sweet pictures of them playing together, and she even spoiled him with his daily treats, some physical activity, and affection. I would love for her to come back any time.”

About: Although I do not currently own a dog I’ve had many doggies growing up and i know how amazing and loving they are. I will always do what it takes to keep them safe and loved. I have an open availability and am happy to help any day or time I am needed! This is a dream job to hang out with your pets! I groom my babies daily as well as brush their teeth! They are on a timed feeding schedule that both my husband and i follow to keep their tummies from hurting. We also always save time to play for 10-30 mins (:

“Julia, is great, she follows up quickly, and is always willing to help with extra stuff around the house to keep your pet and home safe. Her communication at every visit, and pictures of our cat, shows the love and care of your animal”

“Mandi was fantastic! She made sure my kitten got plenty of exercise and stayed active, and she was incredibly responsive throughout. I felt totally at ease knowing my pet was in such caring and capable hands.”

About: Aside from my professional history as a wildlife biologist and former Oregon Zoo keeper I am a life long lover of dogs, cats, and all animals. I am experienced in all aspects of animal welfare from puppy training to administering senior dog medication and clipping cat nails. I'm in shape to handle any sized dog in the event of aggressive leash pulling or needing to lift a dog in case of emergency. I bring professional animal handing experience and an innate understanding and empathy towards animals. Recently furloughed Government wildlife biologist, I am currently available 24/7 if needed. I have my own animals at home I need to care for but between my wife and myself I have a flexible schedule and should be available whenever you need me. I'm experienced with all level of dog, cat, reptile, etc. care at all ages, including training. I can do multiple feeding a day, administer medication, walk, play, crate train, etc. I have an enclosed backyard in a quiet neighborhood that is safe for dogs of all sizes.
“Sammy did a great job taking care of a very shy cat, including getting Tibs to greet her after only a few days. She also watered both inside and outside plants for us. We will definitely hire her again.”

“Kathy did an incredible job taking care of Molly and I would be very happy to use her again. Molly is 14 years old, requires multiple medications and is very picky about food, but Kathy got her to take all her medicine and also took her on two short walks each day.”

About: I've been pet sitting for many years anywhere from overnight to a couple weeks. The most I have pet sat at one time is five dogs and two cats and I loved every second of it! I have also puppy sat a dog for a week and still to this day watch the dog (pictured in my profile picture), I love her as much as my own and have loved being there as she has gotten older. I also have experience watching older dogs and have skill to care for them. I know the attention and gentle care they need and I adore giving that to them and petting their cute little white faces. I am an online graduate student so I am able to commit to being at your home with your pet for most of the day, every day! When caring for a puppy I make sure I always have my eyes him/ her and when I let them out (if there is a yard) I stay close with them the whole time as they sniff around. I always play with the dog(s) by playing tug-of-war or fetch and am attentive with potty breaks and to ensure the meals are correct and at the right time. Something I personally do for my dogs back home is wet their food with warm water for a few minutes so it is softer for them to chew, so I understand the importance of how your dog is fed!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Walnut Grove
Our cat Frodo adores having Linnea care for him! She seems to understand all of his quirky attention-seeking antics, which is great. And, when we return, after Linnea has taken care of Frodo, he’s calm and happy. Plus, she gives detailed reports that provide wonderful feedback. Thank you, Linnea!

Victoria did an absolutely amazing job caring for our fur babies while we were away. She made sure they received plenty of play time and pets, and even went above and beyond by returning to our home after her visit with them ended when their automatic feeders stopped working. I highly recommend Victoria as a sitter and will absolutely be booking her again in the future! Thank you for taking such good care of our kitties while we were away!

10/10 Recommend! Matt was incredible and truly came through for us when we had to go out of town unexpectedly and needed someone reliable for a few days. The trust we placed in him was completely justified—he was punctual, dependable, and consistently communicative. We gave Matt a code to our home and left feeding instructions, all of which he followed perfectly. Throughout his visits, he checked in regularly and asked thoughtful questions whenever needed to ensure our cats were fully taken care of. What really stood out, though, was how Matt went above and beyond. Even though it wasn’t requested, he asked if he could spend extra time giving our cats some affection. This not only showed his genuine love and compassion for animals but also demonstrated his respect and proactive communication by asking first. My wife and I are truly grateful to have found Matt. He is trustworthy, reliable, and deeply caring—everything we could hope for in a pet sitter. We wholeheartedly recommend him.

Katie is your ideal sitter. She is reliable, quick to respond, flexible and leaves informative updates. My cats also liked her and when we came home it was clear she had been keeping up with all the chores involved. She takes care of things without needing too much explanation which is nice when you are gone. Would 100% recommend her.

Lucas is awesome! As a vet tech, he stepped in to help our cat sitter, who injured herself while we were traveling, and could no longer administer sub-q fluids. He was the reason we didn't have to end our vacation and return early. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable, gracious, and kept us briefed on everything about the situation, with photos, when he visited. I am so grateful to him for offering his services on Rover, and I HIGHLY recommend him if you reding this while looking for care. He's the best. Thanks, Lucas!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
