Pet care experience
Spoiling pets is my full time job!
Hi! I’m Kylie, a 22 year old lifelong Vancouver local and animal lover. I’m currently a student at Clark College, and because most of my classes are online, I spend a lot of time at home. I also work as a caregiver for my aunt who I live with and have a small retail job only a couple times a month, so my schedule is very flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m able to give the animals I care for plenty of attention throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods of time.

Very disappointed with this experience. My dog came home with a significant bald spot that wasn’t there when I dropped her off. The sitter was unable to explain what happened, and I was not notified of any incident. I had to take my dog to the vet, which was stressful and resulted in an unexpected expense. Unfortunately, I would not use this sitter again.

She was very sweet upon meeting, she gives very good updates! She made my dogs feel very at home Thank you! I will definitely book again!

Kylie did a wonderful job at caring for Theo, she sent us daily updates along with videos and photos and was very quick to respond! Theo had a amazing time and he fell in love with her cat and I would love to continue booking with Kylie for any future trip I may have! Would really recommend booking with Kylie!

Schedule
I grew up on a farm for the first 10 years of my childhood, so being around animals has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, cows, and other animals, and I’ve continued that love into adulthood. I’ve also volunteered with the Humane Society and participated in a cat adoption program called Heart for 2 years. I’m comfortable with animals of different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities, and I’m happy to care for dogs, cats, and smaller pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even fish

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
At home, I live with my aunt, her 14 year old daughter, my golden retriever Kooper, and our orange cat Mango. Kooper is extremely friendly and loves meeting new dogs, while Mango is more of a relaxed cat who mostly does his own thing. We have a fenced yard for potty breaks and playtime, and I also live next to a gated open field that gives us another great place to get some fresh air and exercise. I do not do meet & greets inside my home, but I’m happy to meet beforehand at a nearby park or another convenient location so we can make sure everyone is comfortable.
Pets
A typical day
When your pet stays with me, I like to keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’ll follow their usual feeding schedule, walks, medication, bedtime, and whatever little routines they’re used to at home. I usually start the morning with a walk, and throughout the day we can go for additional walks, play outside, relax around the house, or just have a lazy day depending on your pet’s personality. If they’re an adventurous dog, I’m happy to get outside with them or if they’d rather spend the day playing with toys and taking naps, that’s perfectly fine too. I really try to match each pet’s energy instead of expecting every dog or cat to fit the same routine

- Before your pet stays with me, I’d love to know all about them! Things like when they usually eat, go for walks, take naps, or go to bed really helps me keep their routine the same. If they take any medication, have any allergies, or need a little extra attention in certain areas, please let me know! The more I know about their daily routine and what makes them happy, the more
