“Bond is never happy to have his regular staff away, but he seemed happy when we got home so Emily apparently was a good substitute! Emily had good communication and sent photos daily.”

About: "As a dedicated and reliable pet caregiver, i will provide an experience tailored to your dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand that your dog is a beloved family member, which is why I prioritize maintaining their familiar routine—from specific feeding times and favorite walking routes to their preferred sleeping spots. Whether your pup is an energetic adventurer who needs plenty of playtime or a calm senior who appreciates gentle companionship and belly rubs, I offer attentive, one-on-one care in a safe and loving environment. You can travel with total peace of mind knowing I provide regular photo updates, clear communication, and the same level of affection I give my own pets. My goal is to ensure your dog stays happy, healthy, and tired out until your return!" As a part-time employed Mom and Grandma, I like to be busy and have time to spare for loving more than just my family and pets. At this moment, I have 3 dogs and two cats, all who need my personal attention several times a day. I would love to do that for you too. I know what it’s like to be stressed about your kitty or dog while away and I can help relieve that, even for just a day or a week.

“Abby did an amazing job caring for Den. She was very, communicative, and flexible. She took the time to meet Den beforehand, learn our routine and understand how to access our home. During the visit she sent many adorable photos and kept us updated which gave us peace of mind while we were at work. Den looked very comfortable and happy with her. We are very grateful that Abby agreed to help us and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter. :)”

“Felicia did an amazing job of taking care of my cat, Bean, while I was away. She was punctual, reliable, and so lovely to work with. Bean has some ridiculous needs/wants and Felicia went through each one and made sure she as well-fed, cared for, petted, played with, etc. My favorite part of it was Felicia sent me a detailed Rover card with each visit, giving me peace-of-mind. She also took amazing photos, which were so great to receive while away. 200% would book again!”

“Alura is reliable, trustworthy, and attentive. Alura has taken care of Poot over the past year (although this is my first time using Rover), and I really appreciate all the love and care she gives Poot. Thanks for looking after Poot!”

“Jeannie communicated her schedule/timing for anticipated arrival time and was open to feedback for day 2, noting that I needed to give more specific directions. She did great taking care of Nala.”
“Absolutely loved having Victoria watch over my babies. This was our first time having someone come do a drop by and I was worried how it would go but my boys quickly warmed up to her. I love how she kept in constant contact and gave me daily updates and pictures. Thank you so much!!!!”

“Mark was super efficient, easygoing, and great to work with. Everything went smoothly, and I felt comfortable leaving my pup Grace in his care. I’d definitely love to use his services again in the future.”

About: I've been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up with both cats and dogs, and over the years I've pet sat for family and friends, as well as walked dogs while I was in college. One of my favorite experiences was fostering cats with my husband—we came incredibly close to "foster failing" and adopting them ourselves! The only reason we didn't was because we were preparing to move abroad. Now that we're back home, we miss having animals in our daily lives, and Rover is the perfect way for me to spend time with pets while helping their owners. I'm an active person who played Division II soccer in college, so I'm always happy to take energetic dogs on long walks, runs, or adventures outside. Whether your pet loves playing, exploring, or just curling up for some company, I'm happy to meet them where they're most comfortable. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'll care for your pets as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. My schedule is flexible since I work as a freelance Project Manager. Mondays and Fridays are typically my most open days, but with a little advance notice, I'm often able to accommodate visits throughout the rest of the week as well. I also work from home several days a week, which gives me the flexibility to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, or check-ins during the day if you're located in the Vancouver area. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I'm happy to see if we can make it work! I'm happy to offer a wide range of Rover services, including drop-in visits, dog walking, house sitting, and pet daycare in your home. At this time, I'm not able to host pets in my own home, but I'm more than happy to come to yours. I believe pets are often happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar environment, where they can stick to their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, well cared for, and getting plenty of love while you're away.
“We have used Claire B’s services multiple times and we see no reason to consider others as long as she’s willing to care for our Stella. She goes above and beyond expectations over and over again. And her updates, pictures and videos demonstrate a level of care that keeps us reassured that Stella’s wellbeing is top of mind.”

“Katy did a phenomenal job. She’s a true animal person. I feel completely comfortable leaving my babies in her care - and that’s bit an easy thing for me. You’re fortunate if you get to book Katy. =^.^=”

About: I’m a seasoned house and pet sitter for friends, families, and—over the past year—through TrustedHousesitters. I’ve cared for everything from high‑energy puppies to senior pets who need a slower pace, medication reminders, or extra patience. Having my own pets with their own unique tendencies has made me great at reading an animal’s personality and adapting to what helps them feel safe and relaxed. I keep routines consistent, follow instructions closely, and treat your home with the same respect I give your pets. My goal is always to make sure your animals feel secure and cared for while you’re away, and that you feel fully at ease knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care fits really naturally into my week. I’m already out and about most mornings, so adding walks or drop‑ins feels like a comfortable part of my day. I plan my schedule so I’m never rushed, and when I’m with someone’s pet, they get my full attention — whether that’s a walk, playtime, or just some calm company. I’m used to building my day around animals, so their routine just becomes part of mine. I care for pets in their home the same way I care for my own — with consistency, attention, and a calm presence. I follow your routines so everything feels familiar to your pet, keep feeding and potty schedules on track, and make sure they get the right mix of walks, play, and quiet company. I’m also mindful of your home and keep things tidy, so you come back to a clean, relaxed space. When I’m with your pet, they get my full focus and a steady, reassuring person in their day.

“Julia was fabulous. Did everything we asked of her. She took great care of our senior dog., and enjoyed our little diva of a cat. Both looked great when we got home. And she had updated us with pix throughout our trip. We'll definitely book with her again.”

“Stephanie took excellent care of our pups, I highly recommend her! I really appreciated that she even got the sense that our dogs would benefit from an additional visit for another potty break/get more love and attention and she reached out to ask if it was okay that she came by for an additional visit. Our dogs were really happy and she was very easy to get ahold of. 5 stars!”

About: We have owned pets for 20+ years including cats, dogs, a rabbit, fish, chickens and more, and have taken care of a variety of pets for friends, family and neighbors along the way. We have also volunteered for the local Petsmart taking care of kittens and adult cats in the catio. We love our pets and will adore yours as well! We can provide care such as, but not limited to, feeding, watering, medications, cuddling, playing, walking and plenty of love. Laurilee works part-time a couple of days per week as a RN. Travis works full-time from home generally with a flexible schedule as a consulting Forester. We have availability for drop-ins or walks generally between 12:30-2:30 a few days per week and occasional weekends, however this varies and will need to remain somewhat flexible, as we also care for our elderly grandmother. We can not offer baording or overnight stays at owners homes at this time. We are not available for evenings currently, as we have our childrens' activities. We are responsible and will honor the safety requests that you have for your pet(s) in your home and/or on walks. We will maintain a friendly and fun environment while keeping safety the #1 priority. Rover completed background checks on both Travis and Laurilee. In the case of an emergency we would contact you, your emergency veterinarian if shared with us, and Rover immediately. We both have the American Red Cross Pet First Aid app downloaded on our smart phones for quick access for urgent care recommendations if ever needed, along with quick access to the Rover Guarantee webpage and emergency number. Available most weekdays, M-F 12:30pm-2:30pm. Not available evenings or weekends. Boarding and overnight care is not offered at this time. Check-ins and walks may be done by Laurilee, Travis or both depending on the day. If approved, our teenage daughters may join us when available for extra pets and playmates. At this time we are unable to offer pet care service in our home. We have many of our own pets who do not appreciate having other animals in the house.

Laura was absolutely wonderful! She was caring, attentive, kind, understanding, and very flexible. I especially appreciated that she kept me updated and sent me pictures of my cat, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared and made sure everything was going well. I would absolutely recommend Laura and would be very happy to book with her again!

Emma has been a great asset to my two very different kitties while we were away. We have a complicated situation with an outdoor kitty, and a very indoor/walk only on leash kitty. She was diligent at cleaning and maintaining a healthy environment for my fur children. I got lots of great photos and even the timid outdoor kitty warned up to her almost immediately 🐈 😺

Alura was very attentive to my cat, Romeo. She paid attention to detail, and asked questions if things were not clear. Romeo was very happy and seemed content and comfortable when I came home. I loved the photos she sent. I also asked Alura to water my garden and flowers, and she did a great job with that. It was very hot the week I was gone, and everything looked great when I returned.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hazel Dell North. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
