About: I’ve spent much of my life caring for animals of all kinds, including dogs, many cats, and other pets! I grew up with an Australian Shepherd, whom I trained in basic obedience as well as agility-course tricks (although I am not a formally trained or certified dog trainer), and cats. More recently, I’ve pet-sat for the cats and dogs of family and friends. This has included caring for an older pet with mobility limitations and a pet with complex health needs and a medication schedule. I understand how important it is to follow an owner’s care instructions carefully, especially when medications or special routines are involved. Beyond meeting their basic needs, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m happy to play, provide enrichment, groom, go for walks, or simply give plenty of attention and snuggles while their people are away. I’ve even walked cats! My goal is to maintain your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible and make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re apart. As a graduate researcher, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to incorporate pet care throughout my day. My research schedule varies from week to week, but I keep my Rover calendar up to date and only accept bookings that I know I can reliably accommodate. For house sitting, I’m able to spend mornings, evenings, and overnight with your pets while working around my university responsibilities during the day. Because much of my academic work can be done on my laptop, I can often study, read, or write from your home while keeping your pets company. For drop-in visits, I plan visits around my daily schedule and make sure I have enough time to provide attentive care rather than rushing through a visit. I appreciate having a few days of advance notice whenever possible so I can plan my schedule around your pet’s routine and care needs. I know that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big responsibility. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine and the instructions you provide, including feeding, medications, walks, litter-box care, and any household or safety precautions. I’m detail-oriented and genuinely appreciate thorough written instructions, especially for pets with medical needs or established routines. Before caring for a new pet, I like to learn about their personality, normal behavior, feeding and bathroom habits, medications or health concerns, and anything that might frighten or trigger them. For dogs, I also want to know about leash behavior and how they respond to other dogs, people, wildlife, and unfamiliar situations. I respect each animal’s boundaries and won’t force interaction with a pet who is frightened or wants space. I also pay attention to changes in behavior, appetite, drinking, bathroom habits, or mobility and will communicate with you promptly if something seems unusual. In an emergency, I will follow your emergency-care instructions and contact you and/or your designated veterinarian as appropriate. When house sitting or providing drop-in care, I treat your home respectfully and make sure doors, gates, and other entry points are secured when I enter or leave. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe and comfortable while you’re away.

About: Ever since the age of 5, my family has always had pets around us. From rabbits to cats, to dogs, and even Beta or Goldfish. After I moved to the Pacific Northwest at 21, I adopted a stray cat. Unfortunately a year into taking care of him, he passed away due to uncurable health issues. After I mourned and missed him, I went on to adopt and raise a 2 month old female gray kitten, who is now 11 years old. I also have a Blue Heeler/Cocker spaniel mix who I adopted from the pound 6 years ago. He was middle aged when I adopted him so I really got to learn how to manage an older dog by taking care of specific needs and having regular vet check ups. Two years ago, I adopted two teenage gray sister cats, who are now almost 3. My fur babies are a tight nit family who gets along with one another, and I am proud to watch them grow and flourish in the lifestyle I have made for them. As for experience, aside from taking care of the family pets growing up and being a long time pet owner, I worked at Red Rover dog sitting company back in 2017 for about a year, going to peoples' homes for either a 20 minute dog walk, hour long dog park adventure, or overnights for dogs if owner was going to be out of town and needing something more long term. Due to how busy I was at the time, working a full time set scheduled job, I was unable to make spare time. In the last few months, I have no other obligations with needing to work full time, and am ready to take care of other peoples' animals. I have always taken joy in helping others out with their pets because I know how hard it can be when people have to go to work, be gone all day, go camping a few days, or traveling several days. I know about that lifestyle all too well and always love when people I trust watch my pets. Drop-In Visits Drop-in visits include potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, and plenty of attention. I can accommodate up to three drop-in visits per day, depending on availability. Overnight Pet Sitting For overnight stays, I remain at your home overnight and spend the majority of my time with your pet. Because I have a dog of my own, I may need to briefly return home throughout the day to care for him. These trips are typically limited and scheduled around your pet’s needs, and your pet’s comfort and well-being will always remain my top priority. About: I recently moved here from Birmingham, Alabama and pet sat for a decade and I want to continue to connect with new families and their little floofs here in the pnw! I have worked with all ages of cats and dogs. I’ve also taken care of fish, hamsters and even bees on occasions. In the past I have had the same eight families I have looked after and met other pet families through them over time too. I have a fully free schedule since I just moved here and searching for a part time job. In the past I have been in school, worked at restaurants, and consistently pet sat as a combined full time because looking after little ones is a part of my daily routine that I cherish and wish to continue. So I am excited and able to be with your little ones as much as needed. I want the pet(s) to be relaxed and comfortable in their own homes when looking after them in order to not disrupt their regular routine too much. I prefer to meet the family and little one(s) before caring for the animal(s) before overnight sitting or for just drops ins. This way I can be well aquatinted with everyone and bring sense of calm into everyone’s daily routines from the start. This way, I can also learn in person their exact routines, any medication’s if applicable, any quirky things the pets might request in their routines, ie I once had an elderly dog thatI looked after that wanted his dinner “ heated up” in the microwave. So I would make “beeping’ nosies and pretend that his food was fancy like a humans. The family and I found it as a cute and an easy way to make him feel happy and eager to eat. The quirky the better is what I have always looked forward to when bonding with the little ones. For a meet and greet, if the family and animal(s) are ok with more of a “come on in” policy where there’s not a meet and greet first, particularly for drop ins, I’m more than happy to use with this method as well. For dogs in particular, I want to make sure that I keep up with their exercise routines with any amount of walks requested. If the family and floof(s) are more adventurous, I would happily like to take them on hikes, if it is wished to be incorporated into their routines.

“Char and Ben were fantastic pet sitters for my two Danes. It was obvious from the meet and greet that they had experience and were very comfortable around X-lg dogs! The communication and photos were top notch. My dogs are quirky and Char and Ben were able to work with them on their picky eating and fear of the floor register. The Danes were very content when I came home so I knew they had gotten their needs met while I was gone. Bodhi is now moping around as he misses his new buddies. Highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.”
