My GSD is a challenge to walk and requires long walk rain or shine. Chelsea took on her challenge by giving her lots of love and attention. She showed up rain, cold and shine. She is reliable and communication was frequent. Thank you Chelsea for being Maggie's BFF while I was away.

About: Hello! I am 27 years old, and I used to own and adore 2 rat terriers and 4 cats, and took care of 3 others who all lived in the same house! While I no longer get to see them since I moved, I still love and adore animals. I've had the pleasure of petsitting for friends, 2 larger dogs, and 2 cats l. All of whom are adorable... Due to seasonal work, I'm not currently as available as I'd like to be, and will be working a sporadic schedule for the next few months. But other than that, I do my best to be available for whatever the pet needs, whether it be feeding, cleaning litter, taking them on walks, or sitting overnight. Keeping your home just as clean as you left it, and your pet happier! I'm generally a tidy, quiet person so no worries about disturbing the neighbors, and if your dog has special treats or toys I'd love to hear about them!

With over three years of pet care experience, I have cared for dogs and cats of various ages, breeds, and temperaments through drop-in visits, boarding, doggy daycare, and walks. My experience includes feeding, exercise, administering basic medications, maintaining routines, providing companionship, and ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I work from home providing pet care through any means necessary or needed for you and your furry family. Im happy and eager to accommodate and work with your schedule and needs. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities. During visits and boarding, I closely supervise pets and provide a calm, loving environment. Building trust is important to me, both with pets and their owners. I take the time to get to know each pet, allowing them to adjust at their own pace and creating positive experiences through patience, consistency, and gentle care. About: I grew up in a family that owned dogs all of my life. I also pet sat (both cats and dogs) for many family friends over the years, even helping look over a dog team once when I lived in Alaska. Furthermore, I am capable of going on long walks or short ones, playing fetch or tug of war for extended periods, or just chillin' at home providing all the belly rubs and scratches as possible. I recently just moved to the Vancouver area, and I am seeking full-time employment. Thus, as of right now, my schedule is wide open, which makes me available anytime and any day (even weekends) to take care your pet. I am flexible for how will care for your pet in your home. If your pet requires a lot of attention and play time, then I am more than willing to take them to the backyard or nearest park to let them play to their hearts content. Or, if your pet is shy or getting older, I can certainly give them their space.

Amy was timely in her responses. She followed instructions for getting into my home and getting my pup ready for their walk. Through my doorbell camera, Amy talked kindly to my pup and remembered to put on his rain jacket. After the walk, she spent time wiping off his paws and also locked up the house how I asked. Would definitely recommend Amy to others!

About: Hi there! My name is Janesia, and I have over 10 years of experience house sitting and pet sitting for family and friends, along with two years of trusted experience here on Rover. I currently have four lovable furry friends of my own—one sweet dog and three adorable cats—so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I’m experienced with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and working with dogs who have anxiety or need a little extra patience and love. No matter the age, breed, or special need, all animals are welcome to be cared for and loved on in my care! I currently work part-time, averaging about 25 hours a week with 8-hour shifts, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive care. I’m also planning to start college soon to pursue a career in medical school, so caring for animals is not only a passion but also a fulfilling and flexible part of my journey. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or overnight stays, I treat every pet like family. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions! Pet care fits into my daily life because I have a German shepherd corgi who is around 7 years old and 3 cats of various ages! I love love animals of all kinds! I work day shifts part time and attend college online so I have plenty of extra time to lend some helpful paws! I like to say I spoil my animals haha I buy them collars/toys that coordinate with the holidays, I give them toys that also help with mental stimulation during the day and I go on daily (2/3 times) walks with my dog and cats. When it comes to watching someone’s animals I treat them like one of my own!

Her energy, kindness, flexibility, communication, and love of animals is so evident. I would let Elaine take care of all of my animals at any moment. I will absolutely have her walk Ginger again. And also boarding!

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I have cared for many dogs and helped train my own, including ones who have behavioral/food guarding issues. I have cared both puppies and senior dogs, including a household that required pet separation due to behavioral issues. I am well-versed in things like potty training, giving medication, basic grooming , and keeping animals away from possessions/getting into food/etc. I take care of any animals I pet-sit for like my own, and I am committed to making sure they are safe and happy. I currently have a very open schedule, but will update if needed. If 24/7 supervision or overnight care is not requested, I may run errands or go back home between checking on your animals. Frequency of check-ins depends on location, and while I will attend to your pet to the maximum of my ability, each situation will be handled on a case by case basis. Upfront communication about what you and your pet need is highly appreciated. I am committed to making sure any special instructions are followed, and I will see that your animals get their needs met both adequately and on time. This includes making sure medications are given on time, water is filled, walks are long enough and not during hot parts of the day, and animals are let out of crates when needed. I am totally fine with cleaning up after indoor bathroom accidents/vomit, although if this is a frequent issue with your pet please let me know beforehand. My main goal is to make sure your home is the same as it was when you left it.

About: I've grown up constantly around dogs and taking care of them. My family and I would often get dogs from shelters, so behavioral issues are no problem for me! I'm used to the crazy-fun nature of these furry creatures. I have trained all my dogs, and when I was 14 got my own chihuahua that I raised from a puppy. I enjoy spending time with dogs and animals and would love to help out with your furry friends. I'm currently in school part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets. I have two cats of my own that I take care of everyday by playing with them, giving them fresh water and food, brushing them, and of course lots of cuddles. Coming into your home I will be very cleanly. I'll give your pets and home my upmost respect. With me your animals will be in amazing care.

About: Ive had dogs ever since I was young. I don’t currently have pets, but my childhood dogs were a German Shepard mix and a little chihuahua. My German Shepard had so much energy and loves to stay active, so I understand what it’s like to have a very energetic dog - and love spending time with them. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING I have a very flexible schedule due to working from home & will spend most of the day with your pup. However, I sometimes need to step out for personal errands, but I’m never gone for more than 2–3 hours at a time, and I always plan around the dogs’ needs—bathroom breaks, feeding, and general care. Please take this into consideration when booking with me. If needed I can do daily visits to see your pet in your home during the day, and go on walks, and basically play as much as your pet wants. ;)

About: I love animals and have grown up with them. I have over 15 years of experience working with, and being around all kinds of animals, breeds, and temperaments. My experience with dogs includes my own, pet sitting (long term & short term), working as a veterinary assistant and interning at the zoo. I have a very calm, and patient personality, this often works well for dogs - especially those that are more nervous. I have worked with senior pets, puppies, experience administering medications, etc. I get to know your furry family member and observe behaviors and what they like and don’t like. Also paying attention to change in behavior. I took a break from offering pet care services due to life changes, which is why there’s a gap between previous and most current pet care, but I am excited to get back to doing what I enjoy most! 😊 I currently work a full time job in the hospital and work variable shifts. Always open to take a look at your requests and see if it will match up with my work schedule! If it lands on days I do work, I will be there before and after work as well as sleep in your home if that is your request. Days that I don’t work, I’ll be there more frequent. I make sure to follow all directions left by my client, whether their pet is crated, what to look out for, what they like/dislike, feeding schedules, etc. I always keep in contact with my client if anything seems “off” or different about their furry family member.

Elaine was wonderful! She filled in as Sharpie’s dog walker, and I couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. Sharpie can be a little particular, and Elaine was patient, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs. She kept me updated, was always on time, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Elaine to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog walker. Thank you, Elaine, for taking such great care of Sharpie!

Chelsea was great and able to help us out last minute. Our dog was staying for the weekend with my elderly father who can’t take him on walks because of mobility issues. I had planned for a friend to walk him, but she had a change of plans so I tried Rover for the first time; it’s so easy to use and Chelsea was the first dog walker I contacted, luckily she was available! Our dog was so happy to get an hour long walk both Saturday & Sunday. Thank you Chelsea!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
