“Amy was timely in her responses. She followed instructions for getting into my home and getting my pup ready for their walk. Through my doorbell camera, Amy talked kindly to my pup and remembered to put on his rain jacket. After the walk, she spent time wiping off his paws and also locked up the house how I asked. Would definitely recommend Amy to others!”

About: I grew up in a family that owned dogs all of my life. I also pet sat (both cats and dogs) for many family friends over the years, even helping look over a dog team once when I lived in Alaska. Furthermore, I am capable of going on long walks or short ones, playing fetch or tug of war for extended periods, or just chillin' at home providing all the belly rubs and scratches as possible. I recently just moved to the Vancouver area, and I am seeking full-time employment. Thus, as of right now, my schedule is wide open, which makes me available anytime and any day (even weekends) to take care your pet. I am flexible for how will care for your pet in your home. If your pet requires a lot of attention and play time, then I am more than willing to take them to the backyard or nearest park to let them play to their hearts content. Or, if your pet is shy or getting older, I can certainly give them their space.
“Jocelyn was absolutely amazing with Duchess. This was my first time using Rover and I was really nervous. Jocelyn was good with Duchess and walked me through the process to help ease my anxiety. 10 out of 10 recommend her anytime!”

“Lyla was awesome and was able to book on short notice! I am recovering from surgery and needed someone to give my dogs some exercise and she was just the right fit. Will definitely be booking again!!”

“Claire was so kind and patient with my dog who was anxious and afraid when she came to walk him and we weren’t home. It was his first time having a dog Walker who wasn’t family, and in true pandemic puppy style, he didn’t want anything to do with her, even after she had come for a meet and greet. She eventually coaxed him outside and he was able to go to the bathroom and play some find the food games. Thanks again for your kindness and patience with him, Claire!”

“Molly was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with. She has a lot of dog experience and did a wonderful job caring for our larger pup, who has special needs. We will definitely work with Molly again!”

I am a school bus driver so I get up early feed and short walk the dogs, go to work come home in 2-3 hours then we go on a nice long walk (weather permitting) then head back to work after being home for 3-4 hours. Run the bus for a couple hours then back home around 5 pm. Feed then short walk before bed. All over night stays comes with free walks. I have a fenced in small back yard with gazebo. “YAY! So grateful I found Elaine. I twisted my ankle and she was there helping me every day for 7 days so that I could rest. Her energy, kindness, flexibility, communication, and love of animals is so evident. I would let Elaine take care of all of my animals at any moment. I will absolutely have her walk Ginger again. And also boarding!”

“Alura was available for me in a pinch and was flexible and kind while we sorted out the weekly walk schedule. She followed the instructions I left without any issues. We, including our beloved Darwin, are so grateful for the love. Highly recommend her service!”

“Chelsea you are amazing - reliable, friendly and good with Laney! I like that you let me know your arrival time for each walk. This allows me time to prepare Laney for her walk. Thank you!”

About: Hi there! My name is Janesia, and I have over 10 years of experience house sitting and pet sitting for family and friends, along with two years of trusted experience here on Rover. I currently have four lovable furry friends of my own—one sweet dog and three adorable cats—so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I’m experienced with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and working with dogs who have anxiety or need a little extra patience and love. No matter the age, breed, or special need, all animals are welcome to be cared for and loved on in my care! I currently work part-time, averaging about 25 hours a week with 8-hour shifts, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive care. I’m also planning to start college soon to pursue a career in medical school, so caring for animals is not only a passion but also a fulfilling and flexible part of my journey. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or overnight stays, I treat every pet like family. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions! Pet care fits into my daily life because I have a German shepherd corgi who is around 7 years old and 3 cats of various ages! I love love animals of all kinds! I work day shifts part time and attend college online so I have plenty of extra time to lend some helpful paws! I like to say I spoil my animals haha I buy them collars/toys that coordinate with the holidays, I give them toys that also help with mental stimulation during the day and I go on daily (2/3 times) walks with my dog and cats. When it comes to watching someone’s animals I treat them like one of my own!
About: I've grown up constantly around dogs and taking care of them. My family and I would often get dogs from shelters, so behavioral issues are no problem for me! I'm used to the crazy-fun nature of these furry creatures. I have trained all my dogs, and when I was 14 got my own chihuahua that I raised from a puppy. I enjoy spending time with dogs and animals and would love to help out with your furry friends. I'm currently in school part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets. I have two cats of my own that I take care of everyday by playing with them, giving them fresh water and food, brushing them, and of course lots of cuddles. Coming into your home I will be very cleanly. I'll give your pets and home my upmost respect. With me your animals will be in amazing care.
About: I love animals and have grown up with them. I have over 15 years of experience working with, and being around all kinds of animals, breeds, and temperaments. My experience with dogs includes my own, pet sitting (long term & short term), working as a veterinary assistant and interning at the zoo. I have a very calm, and patient personality, this often works well for dogs - especially those that are more nervous. I have worked with senior pets, puppies, experience administering medications, etc. I get to know your furry family member and observe behaviors and what they like and don’t like. Also paying attention to change in behavior. I took a break from offering pet care services due to life changes, which is why there’s a gap between previous and most current pet care, but I am excited to get back to doing what I enjoy most! 😊 I currently work a full time job in the hospital and work variable shifts. Always open to take a look at your requests and see if it will match up with my work schedule! If it lands on days I do work, I will be there before and after work as well as sleep in your home if that is your request. Days that I don’t work, I’ll be there more frequent. I make sure to follow all directions left by my client, whether their pet is crated, what to look out for, what they like/dislike, feeding schedules, etc. I always keep in contact with my client if anything seems “off” or different about their furry family member.
“Brooklyn is great with Maizie. When Maizie sees her, she gets so excited to go on a walk. It's so helpful to have someone who can commit and help my girl get the activity she needs when I'm working. I love the updates on Maizie's feelings that are part of the walk.”

About: **Last minute bookings considered -message me for details** As a pet sitter, I provide attentive and individualized care tailored to each pet's temperament and needs. My background includes experience with senior cats, administering oral medications (but can learn injections or iv), and supporting anxious pets through calm, structured visits. NOTE: 10% of all earnings will be donated to a non-profit to assist humans, pets, and/or animal shelters! 😊 I prioritize a clean, safe, and peaceful environment, ensuring your pet feels secure and well-cared-for while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind—and your pet the comfort of familiar, consistent care. I also love taking pet portraits too! See all my pet pics! I can offer flexible pet care scheduling and dedicated attention to each pet I visit. My days revolve around providing consistent, quality care—ensuring your pet’s needs and routines are always my top priority. Will find a solution if I have multiple pet visits or clients in a day. I like to know your pet’s personality, daily routine, and comfort level with new people. It helps to know if they’re shy or social, any quirks or favorite hiding spots, and what kind of play or affection they enjoy. Please also share details about feeding times, potty habits, and any health or medication needs—so I can keep things consistent and stress-free for them. Or any other information you feel is necessary. For safety, I require that I can independently leash and handle your dog. During the meet and greet, I may ask to interact with your dog briefly without you present to ensure they’re comfortable with me. If a dog is unable to be safely handled during the stay, the booking may need to be adjusted or ended early. If your dog has aggressive or very anxious behavior with new sitters or their space, I suggest you book a few dog walks to establish trust.

Barberton dog parents share their Rover experiences
Elaine was available on pretty short notice and made time for a meet and greet before coming back to walk Finn. My dog is a little hesitant of strangers, but Elaine was very patient with him without pressuring him. She sent me updates and let me know how things went. I'm sure Finn will be excited to see her next time we need help!

Shelbi has been great when getting to know me and my pup. She came over when I needed her unexpectedly to support my puppy when I had to work late. I’m beyond grateful for her help and enjoy knowing my puppy will get to spend time walking with her when I can’t.

Our family went on a 19 day overseas trip and our 2-year-old Boxer (Falco) stayed with my elderly parents. Stephanie and her teen daughter took our pup on lengthy walks and runs so he could exercise the Boxer energy that my parents can’t physically manage. Falco was excited every time they arrived for his walks. and it was clear he had a great time. Stephanie communicated closely with my mother and me to flexibly coordinate times. Thanks to Stephanie for ensuring our dog was well cared for so we could relax and enjoy our vacation.
