About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.

“Emily did great for a first meeting and walk with our pup. She can be slow to warm up and Emily was patient and very honest and communicative with how the visit went. Appreciate the extra step of cleaning up a mess our kitties made that wasn’t on the bill!”

“Felicia has been so amazing! She covered for me on short notice and she has been wonderful with my older dog who can be reactive and crotchety. She’s also very sweet with my two kitties and good on updating me on everything going on with my fur babies. Highly recommend!”

About: "As a dedicated and reliable pet caregiver, i will provide an experience tailored to your dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand that your dog is a beloved family member, which is why I prioritize maintaining their familiar routine—from specific feeding times and favorite walking routes to their preferred sleeping spots. Whether your pup is an energetic adventurer who needs plenty of playtime or a calm senior who appreciates gentle companionship and belly rubs, I offer attentive, one-on-one care in a safe and loving environment. You can travel with total peace of mind knowing I provide regular photo updates, clear communication, and the same level of affection I give my own pets. My goal is to ensure your dog stays happy, healthy, and tired out until your return!" As a part-time employed Mom and Grandma, I like to be busy and have time to spare for loving more than just my family and pets. At this moment, I have 3 dogs and two cats, all who need my personal attention several times a day. I would love to do that for you too. I know what it’s like to be stressed about your kitty or dog while away and I can help relieve that, even for just a day or a week.

About: Hi! My name is Abby (or Abigail) and I am a college student studying health science, hoping to incorporate animal therapy into my future profession. I love all animals and grew up around dogs :) My family’s adopted dog came to us with lots of past trauma to work through. With lots of love, time, and care she’s made so much progress! Through this experience I’ve been able to understand dogs better and the care that they need. She is also a senior dog with severe anxiety and I have grown up with her, so I understand the needs of dogs of different ages and temperaments. I understand that not every dog is the same and different dogs have different needs. I will do my absolute best to provide for specific needs of your dog, whether that be a calm environment for an anxious one, or a playful time with an energetic one! I have quite an open schedule at the moment, so I will be free quite often to walk your dog or drop in to check on them! I have a fenced yard at my home and if caring for dogs at your place I can take them out, make sure everything is clean and under control, or whatever you would like!
“Elaine was wonderful! She filled in as Sharpie’s dog walker, and I couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. Sharpie can be a little particular, and Elaine was patient, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs. She kept me updated, was always on time, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Elaine to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog walker. Thank you, Elaine, for taking such great care of Sharpie!”

“Natalee is a sweetheart and seemed very comfortable with my 160 pound boy. Natalee communicates very well and gets right back to you with a pleasant attitude. Thanks Natalie!”

“Claire was so kind and patient with my dog who was anxious and afraid when she came to walk him and we weren’t home. It was his first time having a dog Walker who wasn’t family, and in true pandemic puppy style, he didn’t want anything to do with her, even after she had come for a meet and greet. She eventually coaxed him outside and he was able to go to the bathroom and play some find the food games. Thanks again for your kindness and patience with him, Claire!”

“Amy was timely in her responses. She followed instructions for getting into my home and getting my pup ready for their walk. Through my doorbell camera, Amy talked kindly to my pup and remembered to put on his rain jacket. After the walk, she spent time wiping off his paws and also locked up the house how I asked. Would definitely recommend Amy to others!”

“Jocelyn is prompt, friendly, reliable, and our pup loves going on walks with her. I feel like I can very safely trust my dog in her care, which means everything. Highly recommend!”

“I am so very pleased with my experience using Ching for the first time to walk my 2 small dogs while I was at a convention. She was very responsive, sent me photos and updates, even letting me know that one of my dogs who has had previous leg surgery was not up to a full walk, so she carried her for a bit. I really appreciated the peace of mind knowing that my pups were happy and well looked after while I couldn’t be home. Thank you!!”

“Steele is fantastic! He takes amazing care of Nigel and is super knowledgeable and punctual. We love that he always keeps us in the loop, whether he's sharing a quick update about how the walk went or staying on top of scheduling. I’d trust him with Nigel any day!”

About: I got my first dog when I was five and haven’t not had a dog since. My oldest is 13 and is my whole world! I’ve been taking care of him since he was 8 weeks old and he is truly my best friend. I know how special a dog is and I know you only want the best for yours! My oldest lost his hearing a couple of years ago and since then I’ve learned to navigate communicating with hard of hearing pets! I’m currently raising a very rambunctious pitbull puppy, I’m confident I can handle whatever your pet throws at me! I’m currently a part time student at Clark college and work at a local restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights from 4:30pm-9:00pm. I’m available most mornings and afternoons with the exception of Monday and Wednesday 11:00am-12:20pm while I’m in class! While I don’t offer care in my home out of consideration for my family and my own pets I am more than capable of caring for your pets in your home!
About: If you are looking for a pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and provides a safe, active environment, you are in the right place! I have years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals—from dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes to chickens and other small critters. Animals are a natural part of my life, and I know exactly how to tailor my care to fit your pup's unique personality, whether they are high-energy zoomers or low-key cuddlers. To give you extra peace of mind: I spent years being trusted by families as a nanny for three different households. You can rest assured that your beloved furry family member is in incredibly capable, highly responsible hands. The best part? A fenced yard! We have a spacious, securely fenced yard with plenty of room to run. Whether your dog wants to burn off energy playing fetch or prefers to leisurely sniff around and lounge in the fresh air, they will absolutely love the outdoor space we have to offer. Working from home gives me total flexibility to adapt to your dog's established routine. I am here throughout the day to provide constant supervision, mid-day desk cuddles, and frequent potty breaks in the yard. Your pup will enjoy a highly attentive, stress-free day that perfectly balances companionable downtime with plenty of active outdoor play. I believe trust is built through absolute transparency and a controlled environment, which is why I only host one or two compatible dogs at a time. Our home is a calm, secure haven, free from the chaos of large kennels, where your dog's unique safety needs are closely monitored. To keep you connected, I provide consistent, detailed updates and photos so you always know they are safe, happy, and thriving.
About: I’ve cared for animals for several years and truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Felicia always goes above and beyond. Whether it’s dealing with my grumpy old dog, checking on my sick cat, or even bringing in packages after a walk she always takes the extra step to treat my home and pets like her own. She is respectful, communicative, and caring. I feel very lucky to have met Felicia!

I am so grateful I found Claire! She made time for a meet and greet with my pup so he could get to know her a bit before she came another day to walk him. I instantly felt comfortable with her and I could tell that Finn did too. He's an Aussie and pretty much thinks everyone is sketchy, but I was surprised at how calm he was around her. When she came by another day to walk him, she sent me photos and videos and kept me in the loop on how Finn was doing. She was so patient with him and spent extra time playing with him and letting him get to know her at his own pace. Finn had a great time and it made being away a lot easier.

Steele is fantastic! He takes amazing care of Nigel and is super knowledgeable and punctual. We love that he always keeps us in the loop, whether he's sharing a quick update about how the walk went or staying on top of scheduling. I’d trust him with Nigel any day!

Zach and Janexis have been great. Frou is getting walked on a regular basis and is much happier. Great communication and they show up for every walk and have been flexible with the schedule. I greatly appreciate having people that I can trust with my dog and with my house. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
