About: "As a dedicated and reliable pet caregiver, i will provide an experience tailored to your dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand that your dog is a beloved family member, which is why I prioritize maintaining their familiar routine—from specific feeding times and favorite walking routes to their preferred sleeping spots. Whether your pup is an energetic adventurer who needs plenty of playtime or a calm senior who appreciates gentle companionship and belly rubs, I offer attentive, one-on-one care in a safe and loving environment. You can travel with total peace of mind knowing I provide regular photo updates, clear communication, and the same level of affection I give my own pets. My goal is to ensure your dog stays happy, healthy, and tired out until your return!" As a part-time employed Mom and Grandma, I like to be busy and have time to spare for loving more than just my family and pets. At this moment, I have 3 dogs and two cats, all who need my personal attention several times a day. I would love to do that for you too. I know what it’s like to be stressed about your kitty or dog while away and I can help relieve that, even for just a day or a week.

Emily did great for a first meeting and walk with our pup. She can be slow to warm up and Emily was patient and very honest and communicative with how the visit went. Appreciate the extra step of cleaning up a mess our kitties made that wasn’t on the bill!

Great dog walker, both patient and kept training Gracie to heel. Pleasant company, too, while I walked our second dog. We recommend her and will ask for her again if we need this service again

About: Hi! My name is Abby (or Abigail) and I am a college student studying health science, hoping to incorporate animal therapy into my future profession. I love all animals and grew up around dogs :) My family’s adopted dog came to us with lots of past trauma to work through. With lots of love, time, and care she’s made so much progress! Through this experience I’ve been able to understand dogs better and the care that they need. She is also a senior dog with severe anxiety and I have grown up with her, so I understand the needs of dogs of different ages and temperaments. I understand that not every dog is the same and different dogs have different needs. I will do my absolute best to provide for specific needs of your dog, whether that be a calm environment for an anxious one, or a playful time with an energetic one! I have quite an open schedule at the moment, so I will be free quite often to walk your dog or drop in to check on them! I have a fenced yard at my home and if caring for dogs at your place I can take them out, make sure everything is clean and under control, or whatever you would like!

Amy was timely in her responses. She followed instructions for getting into my home and getting my pup ready for their walk. Through my doorbell camera, Amy talked kindly to my pup and remembered to put on his rain jacket. After the walk, she spent time wiping off his paws and also locked up the house how I asked. Would definitely recommend Amy to others!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my love, patience and energy. I trained my puppy to go outside, socialize with others and tricks. I’m trustworthy and reliable. I go to school and work at skyzone some days but my nights are free. After school I am also free, depending on the day. I have my own car with great gas mileage so distance doesn’t matter. I wake up and my first thought is to make sure my pets have food, water and a bathroom break. Regular baths are given to my dog. I make sure to set aside times for me to play with my dog and cat everyday.

About: I’ve had dogs for the past 8 years and currently have two of my own, including a pretty big Lab, so dogs of all shapes and sizes are definitely nothing new to me! I’ve always been around dogs with all kinds of personalities and love getting to know each pet’s little quirks! I’m also a huge cat person and am around cats pretty often, so I’m happy to give your kitties just as much love and attention too! One of my own dogs is also pretty anxious, so I know firsthand that some pets need a little extra patience, reassurance, and understanding. I’m used to taking things at their pace and giving them the extra attention they need to feel safe and comfortable. I know how much you trust someone when you leave your pets with them, and I’ll treat your furry babies like they’re my own! As a part-time employee and college student, I have plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my schedule. I love spending time with animals and will make sure your pets get the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and, of course, lots of love and attention. I understand that every pet has different needs, and because one of my own dogs is anxious, I’m especially mindful of pets who may need extra patience or reassurance. I’ll always respect your pet’s routine, follow any instructions you provide, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for.

About: I am a kind and loving mother, teacher, and experienced pet care provider with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, and other furry friends, always treating each one with the same love and attention I give my own family. My clients value my reliability, trustworthiness, and genuine heart for animals. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or special care, I strive to make every pet feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. I am a teacher so I am available for care in the afternoons after 4pm, and weekends. As well as holidays, school breaks and summer. I have a fenced yard and live walking distance to a few nature trails and local parks for keeping pets exercised. I have a very sweet dog to keep your pet company, as well as a large multilevel home to provide space and separation if that is what your pet prefers.

About: I’ve cared for animals for several years and truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets, including three ferrets, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and paying close attention to an animal’s individual needs. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine to help them feel at ease. My goal is to give you peace of mind while ensuring your pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and quality care. I truly love all pets and have even began volunteering at the southwest humane society to continue my journey with pet care! I have open availability all summer and would love the opportunity to care for your pets! During the school year (September through June), I work full-time as a teacher, but I’m typically available on weekends, afternoons, and school breaks. I’m committed to providing dependable, loving care whenever you need it. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, ensure they get the appropriate amount of exercise and playtime, and give them plenty of attention and affection.

About: In my life I’ve taken care of 3 mid sized dogs as well as around 8 cats. I’m new to the profession pet sitting and care aside from friends and family but I know that for the rest of my life I want to spend time with our animal friends and learn more about them! I have full availability with scheduling. I have transportation to do in house visits but pickup and drop offs might get difficult depending on the size of your dog. I can make regular stops at your place to do check-ins/feedings/walks. I would be able to do longer visits if needed or even overnight if available.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, I grew up with a black lab named Baxter who’s since passed, as well as 3 cats over the years. One cat was fully in my care for about 2 years before she passed. I currently have 2 cats that are about 12 years old now. I have also petsat for a family friend in the past who had a medium sized, high energy dog. I currently work full time on a rotating schedule. While I might have to find workarounds, I will be dedicated to providing your pet high standard care in every way possible. I am great at following instructions, and love very detailed points. Should we run into any issues I am a good problem solver, and am quick to communicate if I cannot get it solved on my own. I am a quick learner and adapting is not an issue for me

About: I have always had a dog since I was a kid, when I was a teenager I used to walk dogs around my neighborhood. I also volunteered for an animal rescue. Now, I work for an animal urgent care and have experience with both dogs and cats, as well as own my own dog and cat. I'm currently working full time, so for boarding your pet may be alone while I'm at work unless they are kennel trained they can go to work with me. I will be taking them on walks before and after work. I work 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I have one dog who is young and loves to play all day! I can kennel your pet if needed, as well as my own. I have fenced land for the dogs to run and play.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
