Hello! My name is Shelby, to start off with my animal handling experience, When I was around 2012 I started volunteering at a local cat rescue. I Volunteered here every Saturday for an hour cleaning litter, feeding cats, doing laundry, and playing with cats. I volunteered here for 4 years and then started volunteering at the Humane Society for South West Washington as a teen volunteer. Here I walked dogs but mostly worked with cats, cleaning their cages, socializing with cats, and help to get cats adopted. I volunteered here for around a year. Then I started working part-time at a Vet clinic in Portland. Here as an Animal care assistant and I work cleaning up the clinic and holding cats and dogs for examinations. I’ve since work at different vets as a vet assistant and receptions. Now I work part time, but still love animals. I have 3 birds, 4 cats, and 1 dog!

Shelby has been doing job visits twice a week for the last month or so. She is always prompt is good with giving feedback and has been very reliable! I’m happy to say she is now our primary dog sitter.
Two visits in to becoming a regular! So far she’s been on time, the dogs have loved her, and the communication and photos are great!

A typical day
With your dog we can go on long walks, or play fetch, or play with their favorite toy! If your dog has a favorite place to go to we can go there too!
- Shelby can host up to 1 pet per night
- The temperament of the animal, if they are timid or a jumper, and if the dog/cat is an escape artist (and the best way to get the animal back if they do run away)
