“She was so awesome! We didn’t worry about our dog at all while she was watching him. She sent lots of pictures and I could see he was having a great time! We will definitely book again when we are in the area and we would recommend! Thank you so much Maryorie! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Shell was so so sweet! Our rover sitter canceled on us at the last minute and we contacted Shell with only a half hour notice and she gladly accepted! She saved our night as we had driven 3 hours from Seattle to go to a surprise birthday dinner for my mother in law. She was wonderful with Jaxson. It was his very first time being away from us for a few hours and she was very patient with him and always sent us updates and pictures and made us feel very comfortable. I highly recommend her!!”

“So appreciate the responsive care that Dana and Mark provide to Sully! Sully has been able to ease into interacting with new humans and other pups; it’s been good for him and so great for me!”

“Emily & Eric took great care of our pups while we were visiting from out of town for a family Christmas party. We appreciate them being so accommodating with the festivities ending a little later than expected. Our fur babies were obviously very comfortable in their home because they are so calm in their crates in the car at the moment. We will definitely leave our girls with Emily and Eric again when we are back in Vancouver!”

“Elaine is great. I had to change my appointment a few times due to work and she was very understanding and flexible. She was able to set up a playdate and we came over and met her, her family and pets. Very communicative throughout the day. I have an elderly pup with bladder cancer and Elaine really cared for her and asked questions throughout the day. I highly recommend and will be using her again.”
“April was great to work with. She had excellent communication throughout the day and was able to watch Daisy on short notice. Daisy seemed comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely recommend April to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

“I’ve been using Shadie for daycare and boarding for both of my dogs and she’s been the best! My dogs are so excited to go to daycare at her house and they seem to have the best time. Thank you!”

“Dominique was great! Our dog Kona stayed with her for doggie daycare. She was very communicative leading up the visit and was super flexible when we had some schedule changes a few weeks before the booking. She also sent us a ton of adorable photos. Would definitely recommend Dominique!”

“Debbie has watched Milo many times for me and I feel comfortable and confident every time I drop him off. She takes great care of him and every photo I get it looks like Milo is having a great time! Any and every time I'm in the Vancouver area I send Milo to her ❤️❤️”

“Danielle took my pup Dinah in for a last minute day care and was very friendly and the environment was very tidy and dog friendly. She did great with Dinah and my pup seemed so happy after pick up. I highly recommend! Thank you!”

About: Have had dogs my whole life. Grew up on a ranch with working dogs. Was a 4-H leader and showed Bernese Mountain Dogs. Ellie and Beau are my Corgi kids. I live by myself with my dogs. Enjoy walking and kayaking with my pups. I am very attentive with behaviors and show grace with gentle corrections. There will be lots of cuddle and playtime at my home. I am a school bus driver so I get up early feed and short walk the dogs, go to work come home in 2-3 hours then we go on a nice long walk (weather permitting) then head back to work after being home for 3-4 hours. Run the bus for a couple hours then back home around 5 pm. Feed then short walk before bed. All over night stays comes with free walks. I understand some breeds only need short walks while others enjoy more. I am able to adjust based on their responses or owners desires. I have a fenced in small back yard with gazebo. There is a doggie door for small dogs. Water available inside and outside. Crating available if desired by owner. . I also put up a dog x-pen so nobody gets near the front door for safety. My house is minimal due to having the house on the market. Not a lot of stuff dogs can get into. I never book multiple clients at one time, four max is enough at a time for me. If I do step out for something I will have a house monitor that will be in two places so I can check in and feel confident all is well while I am gone. I am never gone more than a couple hours at a time unless previously conveyed to owner.
About: I’ve spent over 20 years caring for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and energy levels, and what truly sets me apart is that animals aren’t just part of my schedule—they’re part of my life. I’m self-employed, which means I have the flexibility to be fully present and attentive, and my own dog goes just about everywhere with me. Dogs are woven into my daily rhythm, not squeezed into it. I’m especially skilled at reading canine body language and meeting dogs where they are emotionally and physically. I have extensive experience with off-leash dogs and understand how to manage freedom safely through awareness, trust, and clear communication. I’m also very comfortable caring for senior dogs—moving at their pace, watching for subtle changes, and providing calm, steady support. Whether a dog is high-energy and adventurous or older and more reserved, I focus on building trust, respecting individual needs, and creating a calm, confident environment where they feel safe and understood. Pet care is fully integrated into my daily routine. I’m self-employed, which gives me the flexibility to structure my days around the needs of the dogs in my care rather than fitting them into fixed blocks of time. My own dog is with me throughout the day, so caring for dogs is a constant, natural part of my rhythm. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to provide regular attention, timely walks, enrichment, rest breaks, and any special care a dog may need, whether that’s extra activity, medication, or a slower pace for seniors. I plan my schedule to ensure dogs are never rushed or left waiting and always receive consistent, attentive care. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities. In my home, dogs have access to a spacious, fully enclosed ½-acre backyard with an 8-foot privacy fence, providing plenty of room to move, explore, and relax safely. Dogs have access to the yard through a dog door, allowing them to go in and out freely throughout the day based on their comfort level and routine. I use multiple baby gates and an external kennel to thoughtfully manage space and interactions. This allows me to separate dogs when needed, provide quiet time, or give individual dogs privacy and decompression breaks—always with my close attention and supervision. I can offer private space both indoors and outdoors, ensuring each dog has a calm, secure place to relax based on their comfort level and needs. I’m very attentive to group dynamics and individual personalities, adjusting supervision and space to ensure every dog feels safe, respected, and comfortable—whether they thrive on companionship or prefer a calmer, more structured environment.

About: Hi! I'm Frankie! My wife, Stacy, and I have been dog-sitting at our house for the last 4 years. Our miniature dachshund, Maverick, is the head of our house and is looking to make new friends. Maverick is well-trained, friendly and is currently learning to hunt truffles! He loves meeting new friends and would be thrilled to have a new playdate. Our home is single-story with a fully fenced backyard, plenty of grass to run around, and enough squirrels to keep Maverick busy throughout the day. We're around throughout the week, so your dog will be supervised and receive plenty of attention. Expect regular backyard time, walks around the neighborhood and cuddles. There is a ramp for couch access (Maverick mostly uses it). Small/medium dogs are welcome on the couch. We also have plenty of dog beds, blankets, toys and a gate to provide separation during mealtimes, if needed. We treat all dogs as family and aim to provide a chill, safe environment for them to play and relax while you're away. We have experience with dogs large and small, blind dogs and dogs with special care needs. We look forward to meeting and hosting your pup! - Frankie, Stacy & Mav 🐾 We're home almost all the time. I'm available throughout the week and my wife works remotely, so your dog will always have someone around. If we ever do need to step out for errands, we're never gone for more than an hour or two. We use a gate (if needed) to keep your dog safe while we're out. We have a fenced yard and a mini dachshund, Maverick, to keep your dog company. Plenty of grass outside, dog ramp for the couch, gates to separate (if needed) and multiple dog beds.
“Haleigh has sat Rocky on a few occasions now when I've been in town for work and can't take him into the office. Appreciate her responsiveness and I know my pup is in trusted hands!”

Marjorie was great. She helped me out in a pinch and we did do an initial meet and greet. It’s always nice to find somebody that will take your pet on a weekend for a few hours. Bella seemed like she adjusted well. I will definitely use Marjorie again when I’m visiting Vancouver, Washington. Parking is easy and she lives in a court and is located between Vancouver mall and Hazel Dell so very convenient

Jeannie is amazing. She took such good care of my corgi puppy. It really shows when a dog sitter has a real love of dogs. She went above and beyond. I know my dog had so much fun with her and her two corgis. As a dog owner peace of mind is priceless. She’ll be my first call anytime I need a dog sitter! Thank you!

James has been taking care of my very high energy Jack Russell Terrier for several days now while I work and my request to him was very last minute. I had never used him before and he was gracious concerning my needs and has been really great with my pup making sure she got the exercise she needed and play time as well. I highly recommend James for the care of your fur-baby.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
