“Wow wow wow I feel so lucky I found Shell! She is amazing and has amazing service is super passionate for all animals especially pups. She took care of my Zara and gave me so much advice. I 20/10 recommended reaching out to her and booking with her! Super communicative and kind! I will be trying to make Zara a regular with her, as Zara had a blast with the pups and baby pups! I will also be having her has my boarding person for Zara and my cat Paris whenever I’m out of town, without hesitation!”

“Maryorie was friendly and great with communication. It was my first rover experience and it was nice to get a picture update after drop off and report about how he did at the end of the day. I appreciate how she did a meet and greet before hand to ensure my dog and her dogs would get along and so that we could get to know her. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

“Elaine is great. I had to change my appointment a few times due to work and she was very understanding and flexible. She was able to set up a playdate and we came over and met her, her family and pets. Very communicative throughout the day. I have an elderly pup with bladder cancer and Elaine really cared for her and asked questions throughout the day. I highly recommend and will be using her again.”

“Dominique was great! She took Charlie on a fairly short notice and was very attentive and patience with her puppy needs. Charlie had a great time and came home tuckered out from all the playing.”

About: I have been around animals since I was quite young. I raised and competitively showed horses my entire life. I had many jobs as a barn manager, taking care of horses and farm animals, chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, cows, cats, donkeys, mules, turkeys, pigs as well as all the farm dogs. I worked as an equine veterinary technician for 11 years. I’ve raised mastiff puppies for several years. My kids and I are becoming more involved with our local 4h group with our mini aussies. There’s not many animals I haven’t had the privilege of working with. I am a para educator at a local elementary school so I have my summers off and I am really excited to have that availability to work with animals. Working for the school district gives me the unique flexibility to be available all day every day through September. Please see my schedule as I tend to book up quickly. I have the privilege of being home 24 seven which means if your pet stays with me I am home all the time. I lead a pretty active life and really enjoy hiking and going swimming at the river and lake, so your pet would have lots of outdoor time pending your approval.
“Dana and Mark were wonderful! They house has a great backyard space with plenty of room to play and explore, and their pups all got along with mine. They were also very responsive to my quick request and change of schedule, which I really appreciated. They also were very welcoming and warm and helped me feel confident my dog was in good hands. He came back tired and happy! Would definitely go to them again!”

I can also assist with any of your pet needs, including information for immunization shots, monthly flee and tick, heartworm, etc. I am recent college grad and I played soccer in college, so longer walks/runs/hikes are definitely available with me. I keep a tight schedule according to the requests. I am also available at any hour of the day for any other needs you may have. Great communication and reliable transportation are also provided. Frequent photos are available upon request!
“Haleigh has sat Rocky on a few occasions now when I've been in town for work and can't take him into the office. Appreciate her responsiveness and I know my pup is in trusted hands!”

“Emily & Eric took great care of our pups while we were visiting from out of town for a family Christmas party. We appreciate them being so accommodating with the festivities ending a little later than expected. Our fur babies were obviously very comfortable in their home because they are so calm in their crates in the car at the moment. We will definitely leave our girls with Emily and Eric again when we are back in Vancouver!”

About: I go above and beyond for every pet in my care—not just meeting their basic needs, but making sure they feel loved, safe, and happy. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality, routines, and quirks so they’re always comfortable. At home, we have a sweet and active 1year old Sphynx cat who keeps us on our toes. We also have a kind, animal-loving 4-year-old who is wonderful with pets and loves helping me shower them with affection. With me, your pets get more than a sitter—they get a caring friend (and a little helper!) who will treat them like family. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day with plenty of time to give pets consistent love and attention. Caring for animals fits perfectly into our daily routine, and every pet is welcomed like part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet in my care. Whether that’s in your home or mine. Living in a cozy 2-bedroom apartment, I can closely monitor and supervise pets while giving them plenty of love and attention. You can trust that your furry friend will be safe, comfortable, and cared for like family.
About: If you are looking for a pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and provides a safe, active environment, you are in the right place! I have years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals—from dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes to chickens and other small critters. Animals are a natural part of my life, and I know exactly how to tailor my care to fit your pup's unique personality, whether they are high-energy zoomers or low-key cuddlers. To give you extra peace of mind: I spent years being trusted by families as a nanny for three different households. You can rest assured that your beloved furry family member is in incredibly capable, highly responsible hands. The best part? A fenced yard! We have a spacious, securely fenced yard with plenty of room to run. Whether your dog wants to burn off energy playing fetch or prefers to leisurely sniff around and lounge in the fresh air, they will absolutely love the outdoor space we have to offer. Working from home gives me total flexibility to adapt to your dog's established routine. I am here throughout the day to provide constant supervision, mid-day desk cuddles, and frequent potty breaks in the yard. Your pup will enjoy a highly attentive, stress-free day that perfectly balances companionable downtime with plenty of active outdoor play. I believe trust is built through absolute transparency and a controlled environment, which is why I only host one or two compatible dogs at a time. Our home is a calm, secure haven, free from the chaos of large kennels, where your dog's unique safety needs are closely monitored. To keep you connected, I provide consistent, detailed updates and photos so you always know they are safe, happy, and thriving.
“Lajetta is the best! She frequently watches my dog and he gets so excited to see her and loves going over there. He usually doesn’t want to leave when I go pick him up. She does a great job caring for Tony.”

About: My husband and I are life-long dog owners and dog lovers. We have an active lifestyle and can give your dog lots of attention and activity. I work part time from home and my husband works from home, so at least one of us is always here for potty breaks and mid-day walks and playtime. I love to run during the week and hike on weekends and would be happy to bring your dog along. We have a fenced yard and plenty of space in our home. Our 2 year old Weimaraner is extremely friendly and playful. We also have two daughters that adore dogs and will give lots of pets and cuddles.

Shell was the perfect place for our 6ish month old pup to be for the day! I could tell he had a great time from all the pics she sent and how happy he was afterwards spending the day with her and her dogs. We would happily have our pup stay with her any time!

James has been taking care of my very high energy Jack Russell Terrier for several days now while I work and my request to him was very last minute. I had never used him before and he was gracious concerning my needs and has been really great with my pup making sure she got the exercise she needed and play time as well. I highly recommend James for the care of your fur-baby.
We are so appreciative for Danny and Maria. Super loving, kind, and amazing people with our anxious babies. They communicate super well, responsive, and very honest. Our babies are both rescue dogs with lots to work with. Both Danny and Maria were above and beyond to work with their needs and super patient with them. Thank you so much for everything, Maria and Danny!!

Frances was so amazing she went above and beyond for us, she came and picked up Dolly to work with our schedules. She also took her on a walk and then later to the dog park. Just when I would wonder how they are doing she would shoot me a video or a picture to let me know how their day was going. I would 100% recommend Frances to friends and family who love their pets and need a reliable human to care for them. Francis next time we are in need you will be my 1st call!!!!!! Thank you so much! Side notes~Great communication, her home is lovely and clean.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lake Shore commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
