She was also great about learning what behaviors we try to reinforce, Maya’s habits and routines and what Maya eats, which gives me the warm and fuzzies that as a parent, aunt Isabelle is staying consistent with dad’s rules. Isabelle is so great with dogs and has good judgment generally; seeing how she interacts with Maya and hearing her describe how Maya did on a given walk, I trust her implicitly. Lately she’s been really helpful in figuring out fun new walking routes or destinations that cater to Maya’s interests and mood and energy level. Yep Isabelle is a wonderful dog “auntie” and just a delightful human being. I don’t know what her advertised rates are on here, but you should pay them and then some. Isabelle, get after it girl. Charge people what you’re worth! ?”

“I was impressed with Daniel right from the start! He is a very humble, respectful, responsible, kind young man who loves animals. My dog Sophie immediately took to him and she would have great walks with him. I asked a lot from Daniel when I went on holiday…and he delivered! He came to my home for 10 days to not only walk my dog but also feed her…give her medicine, and as a bonus, he played with her. Socializing w Sophie went a long way because she was alone most of the time. He would always be on time and, when another dog walker canceled, he quickly covered that shift. No questions or higher charge. He sent a lot of photos too. Since I’ve been back from my holiday, I’ve been in poor health. I texted Daniel and he is now my dog walker on days when I’m unable to take Sophie out myself. Again, punctual & always thinking about what’s best for my dog…. For example, He remembers to dry Sophie’s paws when they arrive from a walk in the snow or rain. I highly recommend Daniel as your dog walker or sitter.”

About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. I also have about 100 hours of dog walking experience from a shelter so I am comfortable with reactive/fearful/energetic dogs, and another 100 from shadowing at a vet practice. I just got a vet assistant job so usually it requires me to be away for 6 hours! I can only do all day pet sitting on Wednesdays and Sundays which I have off! I always make sure that I understand the instructions that I’m given and maintain clear communication with the owner if I have any questions. I never make any assumptions and always make sure that the owner is comfortable with any decisions that need to be made.

About: I have loved dogs since I could remember. I’ve had pups of my own and currently have a small Yorkie who I adore, but grew up with a German shepherd who was the best. I’m a nurse and am looking to maximize my puppy time on my time off! I have experience with dogs of all sizes. I’m more than happy to administer medication if needed. Whatever you need, I’m here for you! I’m happy to do drop ins, walks, feeding, whatever you need! I only work 3 days per week and have a lot of flexibility for morning and mid day walks. I live in a pet friendly building with a dog run. I’m happy to crate your pups if that is how they feel safest. I have one 7 year old Yorkie.

About: Hi, I'm Chloe! I am 25 and am located in Arlington. I love working with animals, and have quite a bit of experience myself. I have a sweet kitty named Pumpkin, who is my very best friend! I am from a small town, Berryville, where I grew up with many dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, you name it! I have years of experience of pet-sitting, volunteering at animal shelters, as well as assisting one of my childhood dogs in giving birth to 9 puppies. I have a very strong love for animals, and will treat your fur babies as if they were my own :) please reach out if you have any questions! Tell me all about your pets and any concerns you may have so I can ensure you’re comfortable spending time away from your pets :) Since 10 years old I’ve always been the neighborhood dog sitter, this has extended my whole life and into college as well. I’ve always had a family dog and cat so I know what it takes to care for them and the responsibility required. All these years of pet care has turned me into a huge animal lover so even as you miss them while you’re gone I can promise they will get full love from me. I am currently working remotely part time so I have plenty of time for your pets. I can accommodate any requests you may have for your furry friends! I think care for a pet should be centered around what you feel is best for your pet, I am flexible towards your pets needs. I have going on long walks, trips to dog parks or hiking trails, or just hanging out at the house to keep your pet company: any or all of these could be apart of my care for your pet. Plus of course lots of love and cuddles!
