My dog Sophie immediately took to him and she would have great walks with him. I asked a lot from Daniel when I went on holiday…and he delivered! He came to my home for 10 days to not only walk my dog but also feed her…give her medicine, and as a bonus, he played with her. Socializing w Sophie went a long way because she was alone most of the time. He would always be on time and, when another dog walker canceled, he quickly covered that shift. No questions or higher charge. He sent a lot of photos too. Since I’ve been back from my holiday, I’ve been in poor health. I texted Daniel and he is now my dog walker on days when I’m unable to take Sophie out myself. Again, punctual & always thinking about what’s best for my dog…. About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and grew up with everything from Yorkies to German Shepherds and Goldens. I’ve also cared for dogs on and off since I was 18, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and, unfortunately, this just isn’t the right time for our family to have a dog of our own. Rover gives me a chance to get some much-needed dog time while giving someone else’s pup a little extra love and attention—which, for me, is a pretty great trade! I really try to meet each dog where they are. If your pup wants a friend to play with, I’m happy to play. If they’re older, shy, or just happiest with some calm company and a good belly rub, I’m equally happy doing that. I pay close attention to behavior and will always communicate if I notice even a subtle change that I think you should know about. I also believe you know your dog better than anyone. I’ll respect your routines, rules, training, and preferences and care for your dog the way you’ve asked me to—not the way I think it should be done. Safety always comes first. Dogs stay securely leashed with me, I avoid interactions with other dogs unless you’ve specifically told me otherwise, keep an eye on what they’re getting into, avoid hot pavement, and double-check doors and gates. I do ask that any history of aggression be shared with me so I can keep both your dog and myself safe. I’m home during the day and have flexible availability for early-morning walks (even before 7!), daytime visits while you’re at work, and evenings. And fair warning: if you’re the kind of dog parent who loves getting pictures, you’ve found the right person. I will happily take a million. 😊 EM As a stay-at-home mom, my schedule is fairly flexible and pet care fits naturally into my day. I’m available for early-morning walks (including before 7 a.m.), daytime walks and drop-ins while you’re at work, and evening visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so getting outside for a walk or stopping in to give a pup some attention is something I look forward to—not just another task on my schedule. Your pet’s safety and your trust are my top priorities. In your home, I’ll always respect your routines, rules, and instructions—you know your pet best, and I believe their care should stay as familiar and consistent as possible. I’m very safety-conscious. I double-check doors and gates, keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid interactions with other dogs unless you’ve specifically told me otherwise, and pay close attention to my surroundings and to your dog’s behavior. I’m also careful about things like hot pavement and anything they may try to pick up along the way. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet with patience and genuine kindness. Whether they want to play and burn off some energy or just need calm company, affection, and a belly rub, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll also keep you updated and let you know if I notice anything unusual—even a small change in behavior.

To start, she’s super communicative and reliable, which makes it really easy to plan and coordinate walks and dogcare with her. She was also great about learning what behaviors we try to reinforce, Maya’s habits and routines and what Maya eats, which gives me the warm and fuzzies that as a parent, aunt Isabelle is staying consistent with dad’s rules. Isabelle is so great with dogs and has good judgment generally; seeing how she interacts with Maya and hearing her describe how Maya did on a given walk, I trust her implicitly. Lately she’s been really helpful in figuring out fun new walking routes or destinations that cater to Maya’s interests and mood and energy level. About: Hi, I'm Haley! I recently moved to Northern Virginia from Metro Detroit for work and am excited to get to know the area—one dog walk at a time! I've been a dog lover my entire life and grew up with multiple dogs. Back home, I have a 3-year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix named Creed, who is truly my best friend. Since moving, I've really missed having dogs around, which is one of the reasons I joined Rover. Starting in high school, I regularly dog sat and cared for pets for several families in my neighborhood. Whether they were away on vacation or just needed an extra hand, I helped with walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure their pets felt loved and comfortable while they were gone. I'm very active and love being outdoors, so long walks, runs, and playtime are something I genuinely enjoy. Because of that, I often have weekdays where I finish work early and have plenty of time available for dog walks and pet care. About: I have taken care of my two dogs for 10 years now. I have also dog sat my neighbors and family friends dogs. I also have taken care of fish and bunnies. I am flexible but I am a collegiate student athlete. My time is more flexible on the weekends but I would be open to walking or checking in on a dog in between classes during the week. I can only dog sit in the clients home because I live on my school’s campus. I will feed, pet, cuddle, play, and walk your dog. Whatever preferences you have I will follow.
