About: I moved to Maine from Vermont in 2019 and looking for new pets to sit! I've grown up with dogs my whole life - I'm definitely a dog person! I enjoy all types of dogs, big or small, the more energy the better! I can run with your dog, take them to the dog park to get some energy out, and keep them company while you're away. I'm a patient and easy-going guy, a personality that clicks well with most dogs! I've grown up with West Highland White Terriers, Rottweilers, and Labradors specifically, but I have experience with many breeds. I used to volunteer at the Greyhound Shelter in Saint Albans, VT when I went to school there! Dogs are like furry people to me with so much love to give. Anything that gets our dog outside and moving, count me in! I am easily able to incorporate pet care into my routine as I work for myself and I have a remote job, so I can make time easily! I have a small backyard space that I can bring the dogs to as well as many local dog park options a short drive away!

About: Longtime dog lover and owner, current parent of a 9-year-old Siberian Husky service dog whom I trained to myself. I love dogs of all sizes and shapes and personalities and I can't wait to meet all the wonderful furkids that I'll be looking after in the future. I'm always telling people "I may have trouble remembering your name, but I will always remember your pet's name." Though I am small in stature I'm actually quite strong and can handle large/muscular dogs (and the occasional feral cat when necessary), because I just know how to move with them/guide them. I'm also not intimidated by aggressive behavior in animals, nor do I meet it with aggression in return. I always try to calm the animal and figure out the issue, putting myself between them and anyone/anything that might upset them further. I have a personality/presence that dogs seem to love, from the timid to the social, the calm to the active. I'm a fast walker, so your dog will certainly get a workout they'll love as they keep pace with me, but I can also meander when needed for the older dogs and fumbling puppies. I have experience doing basic grooming for dogs: bathing, brushing, shaving away mats, clipping nails, trimming the fur between pawpads, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears. I do not have experience doing "style" cuts for dogs. I know snake pet care as well, so feel free to inquire if you need someone to look after your danger noodle! Pet care is my primary work focus right now as I work through completing my online schooling towards getting my degree and Vet Tech licence. I have a backyard for your dog to play in alongside my very friendly Husky. It's not fenced in, but I keep a spare long-lead on-hand, same kind as I use for my girl, for guest dogs. If your dog is an especially strong one please let me know and I'll make sure to have an lead appropriate for your dogs weight strength available. Inside the house is dog-friendly and spacious, and I can crate your dog if needed. My dog is allowed on the couch and my bed, so do let me know if those are no-go areas for your dog. If your cat likes outside time I can provide walks and/or put them out in the backyard on the spare long-lead.
