About: I’ve been the resident cat and dog sitter since I was a teen in my family and friend group. I have worked with dogs big and small, and cats of many temperaments. I have been an overnight sitter for both animals, and have experience walking, playing, following routines, and making the pets feel comfortable and loved. I have followed medication routines and given medications for both cats and dogs as well when needed, and am comfortable doing so. I am currently working part time while going to grad school, so I am back and forth from the house and able to check on any pets throughout the day. My home has plenty of space for another cat to hang out. In my home, I try to make the environment as comfortable for other pets as possible and make sure they feel safe and secure as they would in their own home. As for visiting pets at their homes, I enjoy knowing their habits and preferences, so I can cater to their needs as closely to their normal lifestyle as I can. About: I have been a foster mom and adopter for 18 years. I fostered 50 dogs through a local rescue group. We have had 7 dogs, all but 1 are/ were snow dogs. I'm a part-time small animal physical therapist at ARC where we teach agility and obedience, help rehabilitate cats and dogs with injuries and provide quality of life rehab for seniors or the terminally ill. We took our last babies before they passed to ARC for quality of life, they had degenerative myelopathy and kidney disease, respectively. I fell in love with the place and became a PT. I have a soft spot for senior dogs, they deserve all the spoiling to make their golden years filled with love, comfort and adventure. To me dogs are equal to people and should be treated even better. I have a fenced in back yard and a home made for dogs. We have a four seasons room with a dog door to use. I split the house up according to where your dog is most comfortable while I'm out. We never miss our morning walk. In the summer we take dogs swimming at my in-law's pool 20 minutes in Blue Springs. We also have kiddie pools and a sandbox to discover toys. They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. I am able to administer all types of medication, whether it be oral, injectable, or IV fluids. I am able to do dog CPR, we are also 5 minutes from our vet as well. My home is the ideal vacation spot for your furry friend. About this sitter: I'm a licensed Esthetician and have an in-home spa. I work at ARC part-time, just three afternoons a week. Clearly, I'm a huge dog lover. We previously fostered around 50 dogs for Furry Kids' Refuge. It is my life's work to stop puppy mills. I'm a very active person and enjoy outdoor activities. Why I love dog sitting Ever since, I was a child I grew up loving dogs and wanting to stop puppy mills. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some kind of capacity. I worked on Proposition B with the Humane Society of America. I want to help people feel confident leaving their pets when away from home. About my yard I have a 1/3 acre yard fenced all the way around. We have lots of trees and outdoor dog beds to hang out on under the hammocks. We have lots of squirrels to watch and all of our neighbors have dogs. We have a small wrap around deck that connects to our 4 seasons patio room with a dog door. My experience administering medication I am trained in dispensing all types of medicine; whether it be oral or injectable. I'm also able to do IV fluids and CPR. Your dog(s) will be a part of my family while you are away. They will go about their day doing what they normally do at home. They will be free to play and not be cooped up like at a daycare or vet facility. We have a million toys to play with and a nice neighborhood to walk in and lots of places to nap. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.

I've had fur babies in my family my whole life, so I'm fluent in barks, meows, zoomies, and the very specific 3am guinea pig squeaking situation. Currently mom to a rescued German Shepherd mix who thinks he runs the house (he does), a bonded pair of cats who tolerate him, and a rescued guinea pig who is, frankly, the most dramatic member of the family. Whether your pup needs a solid walk, your kitty needs lap time and laser pointer therapy, I've got you covered with love, patience, and an endless supply of baby talk. Your pet's comfort and safety is my whole thing. Drop-ins, walks, sit-ins. Let's make your time away the least stressful it's ever been. My schedule is genuinely flexible! I work part-time virtually running a nonprofit, so I'm not tied to a rigid daily routine. That means I can pop in as often as your pet needs throughout the day and into the evening, whether that's letting them out, refreshing food and water, or just hanging out for some ear scratches and couch time. And if your dog or cats do better with a consistent companion rather than drop-ins, I'm absolutely able to stay with them. Whatever keeps your pet happiest and most comfortable, we can make it work! Keeping the Peace (and the Pets Inside) Door safety is something I'm almost comically careful about. Before I open any exterior door, I make sure your pet is accounted for and not in a position to bolt. Cats especially have Olympic-level door-darting skills and I have a deep respect for that talent, which is exactly why I won't give them the chance to use it. I also do a quick walk-through each visit to make sure nothing is accessible that shouldn't be, food left out, cabinet doors open, small items on the floor, anything that could turn into a hazard gets addressed. And when I leave, your home gets fully secured, every single time, no exceptions. Out on Walks Every walk starts with a leash check, making sure everything is properly fitted and securely attached before we hit the sidewalk. Once we're out, I stay tuned in to what's around us. If another dog comes into view and is showing signs of reactivity or just seems like a potentially stressful interaction for your pup, I'll proactively move us away and give everyone space. I won't wait to see how it plays out. A calm, uneventful walk is always the goal.

I recently graduated from KU with a bachelor’s degree and am currently a Veterinary Assistant working to get my Veterinary Technician’s License. About: I have had pet dogs my whole life. My husband and I currently have one large dog that loves being around other dogs. We are constantly at the dog park or going on walks and would love to take your fury friend with us! My husband has Sundays and Mondays off and I work split shift morning and evening during the week, meaning I can come home for walks and bathroom breaks throughout the day and am off on weekends. We live in an apartment that has a fenced in dog park and is right across from a nature trail. We go to the dog park and on walks everyday.

I'm reliable and responsible and I love animals. I have 2 dogs and I have consistently been a hand in helping friends and family with their animals in a pinch because I love spending time with animals. I have a big heart and I love to have fun and play sessions with almost all animals. I'm very attentive of dogs' needs and care for their happiness a great deal. I love give them hugs and kisses (if they allow it)..I promise to follow all instructions as best as I can and give the best care to every animal I meet! My full time schedule is 9am to 6pm. I do house sitting, which means I will stay with your pets at night. I also do drop in visits and dog walking so my schedule books up quick, but that’s the way I like it! I also have 2 dogs that I make sure to see every day as well, and my Great Dane goes to training classes for obedience (now) and later will go for therapy. I don’t live alone so they have someone else to help me care for them so that I can Rover as much as possible :) I am flexible when caring for dogs in your home and can meet you where you’re at.
