About: My name is Jill and have been dog sitting for almost 12 years! For most of those years, dogs came to board at my home overnight. I created a full blown business and it was the most fun I've ever had with a job! But after having my human kiddos and adopting a special needs cat, I took a break with boarding in my home. I happily pivoted to Drop-In Visits and Dog Walking throughout the week! I am a stay at home mom and can have flexibility in my days. BUT I am happy to say, we are now able to watch at least 1 pup at a time in our home for boarding! We must do a meet and greet to make sure your pup does well with: my 4yo dog, my 3yo cat, and my two young kids. A little background: I am a Golden Retriever lover! We had my heart dog, Wallace, who hosted countless dogs at our house with me. He has recently passed and now we have Shadow; the most cuddly Golden I've ever met! We also have, Eugene, our Siamese special needs kitty who thinks he's a dog. My two kids and husband love helping me out with my animal adventures. If my criteria works for you, let me know! Thanks for looking at my profile and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible! -Jill I am a stay at home mom and a licensed massage therapist who works from a home office and makes my own schedule. My days are very flexible! I offer: feeding, bathroom breaks, walks outside, pets/snuggles, brushing, picking up poo, and giving oral meds. Let me know exactly what will make your pet comfortable during our visits or their overnight stays!

About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.

About: I've taken care of cats & dogs for as long as I can remember. I have experience with puppies, senior doggos, kittens, and difficult cats. I am typically off around 4pm Monday - Thursday, & noon on Fridays. My work schedule is pretty flexible and adjustments can be made. Weekends that I am in town are open availability other than Church on Sunday mornings! My cat is not a fan of other pets so all services would be provided outside of my home. About: I have been a foster mom and adopter for 18 years. I fostered 50 dogs through a local rescue group. We have had 7 dogs, all but 1 are/ were snow dogs. I'm a part-time small animal physical therapist at ARC where we teach agility and obedience, help rehabilitate cats and dogs with injuries and provide quality of life rehab for seniors or the terminally ill. We took our last babies before they passed to ARC for quality of life, they had degenerative myelopathy and kidney disease, respectively. I fell in love with the place and became a PT. I have a soft spot for senior dogs, they deserve all the spoiling to make their golden years filled with love, comfort and adventure. To me dogs are equal to people and should be treated even better. I have a fenced in back yard and a home made for dogs. We have a four seasons room with a dog door to use. I split the house up according to where your dog is most comfortable while I'm out. We never miss our morning walk. In the summer we take dogs swimming at my in-law's pool 20 minutes in Blue Springs. We also have kiddie pools and a sandbox to discover toys. They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. I am able to administer all types of medication, whether it be oral, injectable, or IV fluids. I am able to do dog CPR, we are also 5 minutes from our vet as well. My home is the ideal vacation spot for your furry friend. About this sitter: I'm a licensed Esthetician and have an in-home spa. I work at ARC part-time, just three afternoons a week. Clearly, I'm a huge dog lover. We previously fostered around 50 dogs for Furry Kids' Refuge. It is my life's work to stop puppy mills. I'm a very active person and enjoy outdoor activities. I live my life for my family and my dogs. "Be the person your dog thinks your are." Boone Pickens. Why I love dog sitting Ever since, I was a child I grew up loving dogs and wanting to stop puppy mills. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some kind of capacity. I worked on Proposition B with the Humane Society of America. I want to help people feel confident leaving their pets when away from home. About my yard I have a 1/3 acre yard fenced all the way around. We have lots of trees and outdoor dog beds to hang out on under the hammocks. We have lots of squirrels to watch and all of our neighbors have dogs. We have a small wrap around deck that connects to our 4 seasons patio room with a dog door. My experience administering medication I am trained in dispensing all types of medicine; whether it be oral or injectable. I'm also able to do IV fluids and CPR. Your dog(s) will be a part of my family while you are away. They will go about their day doing what they normally do at home. They will be free to play and not be cooped up like at a daycare or vet facility. We have a million toys to play with and a nice neighborhood to walk in and lots of places to nap. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.

About: I've been around animals my whole life and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply providing companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm patient, dependable, and pay close attention to the little details that matter, from following feeding schedules and exercise routines to keeping water bowls full and giving plenty of affection. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, energetic dogs, shy cats, and multi-pet households. My goal is simple: treat every pet like they're my own and give you peace of mind knowing they're in caring, reliable hands. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be reliable and consistent for pet care. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or spending quality time with your pet, I'm happy to work around their routine. I love being active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, not just a job. Every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special instructions before each visit. Whether I'm in your home or taking your dog for a walk, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I'll make sure they have fresh water, plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime while also respecting the routines they're used to. I keep owners updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I always treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. My goal is for your pets to feel comfortable, happy, and loved until you return.

About: I grew up on a farm with 16 horses, cows, dogs, and cats, which gave me solid experience in animal care. I also travel, camp, and hike with my cat, Pumpkin, which has helped me learn to manage various pet needs while on the move. My background includes experience with horses, dogs, and cats, as well as training and handling. I’m skilled in caring for both active and senior pets, providing personalized attention. My adaptability and travel experience make me a reliable choice for pets needing a caring and flexible sitter. I am currently working a scheduled 8-4:30 Monday - Friday schedule, however, I have most Fridays off. I am always available on weekends and can usually schedule nights. I have been using Rover, house-sitting, and pet-sitting for a few years now. I treat any home like I would my own and bring the "leave no trace" mindset wherever I go. I fully respect any customer and pet's home I am in and will clean up any accidents and make sure they are comfortable!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up on a farm where I cared for everything from horses and pigs to cats and dogs. Being the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family has given me so much experience, and I’d love to bring that same care to your pets. I have my own super friendly dog and cat at home who love making new friends, so your furry family members will be in great company and I’ll will treat them as my own. I am not shy to big dogs, my first ever dog was a Great Dane (gentle giants) as shown in my pictures named Malcom so all big dogs are welcomed. I can handle dogs who tug on the leashes, no matter the size, large or small so that will not be an issue at all. As of right now I’m only doing check ins and walking while I get acquainted with this app and new faces and puppers. Eventually I will do overnights. I’m happy to answer any question, no such thing as a dumb question. Especially when it comes to the peace of mind knowing your pet is safe. Thank you for your patience and I hope to hear from you! 🩷 I am a college student, and I am currently not working to focus on my studies. I figured pet sitting would be the best thing for me because I love animals and I can study, or do school work while I do it. I am willing to both pet sit at my or your house. I have a small fenced in backyard that is secure and safe for your pet. I have a dog named Sadie and a cat named Shayla at home who would love to meet some new furry friends! I would treat your pet as if they were my own with lots of love and care. I’m good at picking up the phone and can give updates as much as you need. Being a pet parent, I too love to see pictures and text letting me know that my dog is okay while I’m away. It is really hard to leave your pets behind while you go away, so that’s why I would make it very easy and comfortable for both you and your pet.

Communicates well and is accomafating and flexible to any variations in our topical routine. Our dog was so excited for his walks with her that if I even headed to our bedroom door he'd be ready to wait by the entrance for her! After his walks he was happy in his crate waiting for us to be home from work. I can't recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
