About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.

About: First and foremost, whoever said that money doesn’t buy happiness never had a dog. I am the proud fur-parent of two English Bulldogs. They are the most happy, loving dogs ever. I love any and all animals but dogs and cats are where most of my knowledge lies. I used to work for a pet supply store. With that job I became very knowledgeable about various pet concerns as well as nutrition and care for animals. I also volunteer for a local rescue in Kansas City. My dogs aren’t the most active breed but we still love our walks, dog parks and play dates. My availability is fairly standard unless I am out of town myself. My work schedule varies frequently but almost always I am able to make early morning and evening visits work with the occasional availability for lunch-time drop-ins Pets in my home are welcome to any space my own dogs are allowed and I have a privacy fenced in backyard for them to play. At your home, I will follow any instructions you have on what is on/off limits for your pup/animal.

About: Hi! I go by my middle name, Kathy and I’m 69 years old, I have 3 dogs currently and have had dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, ducks, hamsters, bearded dragons and a gecko for pets as well as fish! I can provide several references from people I have cared for their pets. I love all animals. I do work part time 9-1:30 M-F during the school year, I’m off during the summer, but will be able to take care of your pet before work and then after and through the night. I’m very trust worthy and would love the opportunity to care for your pets. I take care of your home and your pets as carefully as my own. I’m currently working part time and would have plenty of time to care for your pet before and after work. I’m also available to spend the nights when needed. I provide in your home sitting only. I feel keeping your pet in their home in their familiar surroundings is much less stressful on them. I will provide as much love and cuddles as they will allow. My typical day during the week would consist of me getting up early enough to let your pet out to potty, feed and water them and play a little while. Then I would go to work till 12:30/1:30, go back to your house and repeat the morning routine unless your pet does not eat again in the afternoon, play and cuddle as much as your pet wants. If your pet sleeps with you, they are more than welcome to sleep with me too.

About: Hello! I’ve taken care of family and friend’s dogs for about 8 years now and I have a dog of my own! Her name is Wednesday and she’s a German Shepherd Mix that I’ve had for 2.5 years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds and treat them all like the little fur babies they are! I work from home and I have a very flexible schedule so I will be available to drop in and take your dog(s) as many times as needed throughout the day. I will make sure to follow their normal routine as much as possible. About: Taking care of people’s pets is my passion, and I have over fifteen years experience caring for them as a vet technician, animal care technician at several different boarding facilities, and as an animal shelter volunteer. I provide attentive, professional care with a genuine love for every dog I meet. I don’t just “watch” pets—I learn their routines, personalities, and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home. Over the course of my professional career I have worked with every type of breed and personality under the sun, from high-energy puppies to scared of their own shadow rescues to “just want a nice quiet place to lay down” senior dogs, I’m confident in reading behavior, maintaining structure, and responding calmly in any situation. I have yet to encounter a pet who hasn’t warmed up to me within a few hours, or wasn’t excited to come back to stay again. Pets under my care are treated with patience, affection, and respect—like family, not a booking! Unlike traditional boarding, I do not use kennels, unless they are necessary and that is communicated to me by the owner because of potty training and/or destructive behaviors. I have got dog beds for every shape and size, although most are more comfortable on the coach with me or in my bed at night. And, of course, there is no extra charge for playtime or extra treats! My family are all pet lovers here as well, so my husband and kids love having extra dogs around to spoil with treats, walks around our subdivision up to the pond, couch snuggles, and endless playtime in our large fenced in backyard. I never watch more than four at a time, to make sure every one of them gets plenty of attention. I am currently working on obtaining my Masters degree, primarily online, so I am home with the pets I “board” the majority of the day. I currently work from home 20 hours a week medical billing and coding and doing online program for my masters. My schedule is very flexible and I am at home pretty much 24/7. I have a fenced in large yard in a quiet neighborhood, so I walk dogs I watch/my dogs 1-2 times a day and let out any elderly dogs I am currently watching through the front door to avoid the deck steps. I feed my dogs twice a day, they drink filtered water and get denta sticks each day. I always bring dog treats on walks so reinforce good behavior. We consider our pets people here, so getting on furniture is allowed as well, unless the owner says to discourage. I do not kennel dogs unless owner provides kennel and instructs me to use it for crate training/destructive behaviors.

In addition to pet sitting I have three beautiful rescue pets of my own - a gray tabby cat and two beautiful great danes. I am experienced, reliable, and excited to care for your pet just as I would my own! I am extremely comfortable with unique behavioral/medical needs and I find great joy in working with these animals. I have always loved animals. This was amplified when I completed an internship at an exotic animal sanctuary on their animal care team. After this, I trained as a veterinary technician at a senior dog sanctuary specializing in hospice care. When I moved to KC, I worked as a vet tech under a renowned veterinary orthopedic surgeon. I was the lead vet tech for a high-volume clinic where I was the lead surgery and dental tech, emergency tech, and euthanasia tech, and I oversaw the vet tech schedule and controlled substance logs. I am comfortable administering injections (insulin, for example), administering subcutaneous fluids, delivering triage care in an emergency with your animal, and monitoring heart rates, respiratory rates, and capillary refill times. On a personal level, I am the proud mom of a one-eyed French Bulldog, a senior Chihuahua, a ball python, a milk snake, and an eyelash-crested gecko. In the past, I have been a parent to hamsters, rats, a guinea pig, a corn snake, and multiple fish species. I currently work as a Behavioral Interventionist for a district that participates in four-day weeks. For the summer, I have open availability. The school year will begin again 8/11/25 for me which will leave me with full availability for Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays and availability from 5 am to 8 am and after 5 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until the end of May, holiday breaks being the exception. When you request a time for a visit, I will care for your pets within one hour before or one hour after the requested time unless there is a special circumstance such as medication administration needed at exact times. For example, if you request a drop-in visit at 12pm, the visit may start anywhere from 11am to 1pm in order to accommodate unexpected situations where I need to spend more time with an animal. An animal's safety is my highest priority. I am trained in safe dog introductions and reading animal body language. Additionally, I am trained to safely intervene if an interaction between animals becomes aggressive to minimize injury to the animals and myself. I am well versed in identifying potential emergency medical situations and will respond quickly to reduce stress on your beloved pet. I would like to know immediately if something is wrong with one of my babies, and it is essential to show you the same respect.

About: I have dogs of my own, and have had dogs all my life. I love giving attention and letting your fur baby know they are cared for. I understand traveling is not always dog friendly so I want to help your fur babies feel comfortable and loved while you are away. I’ll send you pictures of your babies so it’s like you never left! My current work schedule varies, some days I’m 11a-4p other days I start at noon / end earlier, and others I can work 11 hrs (will discuss those days in more detail per booking request). If booked a month in advance I can arrange my schedule where I will not be working my long days :) You tell me and I’ll do it! It’s hard enough on fur babies when their family is not home, maintaining their routine is my top priority.

About: Life long dog people. We currently are owned by 2 beautiful King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Jesse and Jasper. We have a huge fenced in yard complete with a doggie door so your puppers can play in the yard whenever they feel the urge! We have a rotating schedule with the adults, and kids are home early afternoon from school. With this schedule, there is almost no time that your doggos will be alone. We have 2 Cavaliers that will be excited to keep your fur babies occupied. They will be allowed free rein of the main level of the house and kenneled at night for a little sleepy time.
