“Great having Saige as my first sitter! We met at a Starbucks to do a meet and greet and I instantly felt comfortable. Scary bringing a stranger into your home these days, so I was thankful she was open to answering any questions and wanted me to feel comfortable. Days later, I then had Saige come to my home to meet my cat and see the space to ensure she would also be comfortable sitting at my home. She petsitted or pet sat(?) lol, for 4 days and there’s hardly a hint that she was ever here - meaning she left the place as she found it and didn’t leave a mess or anything. I don’t think my kitty ever got super used to having a stranger in her home but that’s not Saige’s fault. My kitty is just super shy and takes a while to warm up to strangers. I just asked that Saige respect her boundaries and space and I believe she did that! My kitty is almost 16 years old and I just really wanted that reassurance of having someone around more often than just bopping in for 15 mins a day - so I’m thankful for finding this service and the sitting going smoothly! Would book Saige again!”

About: About 50 years ago when I was 12 years old, I met a scruffy dog while I was out playing. It was immediate Love. I led the dog home and proceeded to beg my parents if I could keep the dog. Unfortunately, they said no and they didn't even want it in the house. That night it rained and I stayed out there with the dog while we took harbor under the back deck stairs. I named him Pal. The next day, a friend down the street was allowed to take Pal into their family and he stayed with him until he went to heaven. Pal played a very important role in my life. I realized my passion for animals. Also after that, my family began to appreciate animals becoming a part of our family. Years later after I purchased my own home, I came across another homeless dog. I took him in and with my vet, we nursed him back to health. From that point on, I always had at least 3 dogs in my home and usually a cat too. I have cared for many animals from family members, friends and coworker. In hindsight, I have cared for more than 30 animals in my life. In the last 25 years, I have worked as an in-home provider for children. I was also the primary family caregiver for my mother when she returned home from the assisted living facility after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed to be brought home before her passing. I was also primary family caregiver for my father when he moved in with me and my daughter due to complications with diabetes and dementia before his passing. I am divorced and live alone, I am home 95% of the time and I rarely travel. I am available everyday of the week throughout summer because I have to be here for my child care and my animals. I have been doing in-home childcare/preschool for 25+ years. Due to my passion for dogs, I have joined Rover to provide care and boarding for dogs. The family room is now mostly dedicated for the dogs. The floor is padded, they can get on the 3 couches and chairs and there are several beds on the floor for their comfort. They have access to see out the back windows and out the back doorway. I have a large backyard that has been divided with a fence. There is the small yard dedicated for the children and a much larger area for the dogs. It is large enough for running and throwing balls - The back fence in both areas is open enough for the dogs to see and chase the school kids and trucks as they go by. My dogs favor the fire trucks and emergency vehicles that go by which is pretty often since the station is right down the street. They will usually stand out at the fence howling with the alarms as those vehicles go by. I scoop daily and I have the yard sprayed regularly for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.

In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. About: Since a child, I grew up with 4 dogs. My life has always had dogs around. We also owned horses, goats, chickens and more, so animals are my favorite. I watch after my friends, parents and family's dogs. I'm okay with giving meals/ medication as request; cheese and turkey wrapped pills are the way 😉. I'm a work from home environment. I'm around my dogs 80% of my day. They are taken on regular bathroom breaks and play breaks. To help release energy, long walks are also taken. If I need to head out, they are crated until I return to avoid any incidents. We have a fence yard and my parents two other dogs spend time together. As well with weekly walks with my 2 other nieces/dogs. They are kept on leashes when on walks. They are also given lots of treats :)

About: I have a stay at home job where my hours are very flexible. I do have visits with clients that can last 1-3 hours but if I know that I’m caring for your dog I will do my very best to not schedule two visits in a day! I will spend lots of quality time with your dog and make sure it is getting more than enough love and care that it needs! I work in social work, so I usually have 2-3 visits per week that last between 1-3 hours. Other than that, and the other activities I spend my time doing, I will give your dog so much love when I am home! I am rarely ever gone for more than 3 hours at a time. I am available any day of the week on a normal week. I live at an apartment complex, but we are only on the second floor, have a good amount of space, and our complex even has a dog park!

About: Hi! I go by my middle name, Kathy and I’m 69 years old, I have 3 dogs currently and have had dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, ducks, hamsters, bearded dragons and a gecko for pets as well as fish! I do work part time 9-1:30 M-F during the school year, I’m off during the summer, but will be able to take care of your pet before work and then after and through the night. I’m very trust worthy and would love the opportunity to care for your pets. I take care of your home and your pets as carefully as my own. I’m currently working part time and would have plenty of time to care for your pet before and after work. I’m also available to spend the nights when needed. I provide in your home sitting only. I feel keeping your pet in their home in their familiar surroundings is much less stressful on them. I will provide as much love and cuddles as they will allow. My typical day during the week would consist of me getting up early enough to let your pet out to potty, feed and water them and play a little while. Then I would go to work till 12:30/1:30, go back to your house and repeat the morning routine unless your pet does not eat again in the afternoon, play and cuddle as much as your pet wants. If your pet sleeps with you, they are more than welcome to sleep with me too.

I loved getting pictures and videos of our pup throughout her stay and she was clearly happy and well loved! My only concern with them watching our dog is if my dog would want to come with me after such an amazing time 😂 (which she did thankfully 😁). They were amazing to our dog and very trustworthy! “Catherine was just awesome. We have a 10 lb jack Russell mix, Sammy, who is a very nervous, anxious little guy. When we went for our meet and greet, he just ran around and made himself at home. We have never left him with anyone other than family but I just felt extremely comfortable with Cathy and knew he would be good with her. She sent me some pics of him and kept me updated during his stay of 6 days. She keeps the large dogs separate from the smaller ones which was good for Sammy as he has not really been around other dogs much. She will definitely be my go to sitter from now on. If you choose to leave your pet with Cathy, you can relax and enjoy your trip because she will give him care, attention and all the love they need.”

Nicole went out of her way to alleviate our pets anxiousness. She sent pics several times per day and kept us updated with anything out of the ordinary. I would recommend them highly, especially if you are unsure about leaving your animals. We will definitely book with them in the future if we need to.”
